“THE MOST UNTRUSTWORTHY PARCEL COMPANY YOU COULD USE.....
I SENT A PARCEL 9 MONTHS AGO AND IT WAS DAMAGED BY THE COURIER.I WAS TOLD THAT MY PARCEL WAS NOT PACKAGED WELL ENOUGH AND THAT MY CLAIM WAS DENIED HOWEVER,I CONTACT UPS TO MAKE A COMPLAINT TO FIND THAT MY CLAIM HAS BEEN PAID TO THEM AND THEY HAVE STOLEN THE COMPENSATION FOR THIS CLAIM.IT MAKES YOU WONDER HOW MANY PEOPLE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TO.THEY IGNORE MY EMAILS AND HAVE KEPT THE COMPENSATION PAYMENTS MADE BY UPS FOR 9 MONTHS.I HAVE PROOF IF NEEDED IF THESE BUNCH OF THEIVES WANT TO TRY AND GET THIS REVIEW TAKEN DOWN.
Good afternoon,
The damage on 1ZV827Y16839476733 was keyed in on the 01/02/22. Somebody should of contacted you by now regarding a refund. Giving refunds or resolving what happens after a damage has been keyed isn’t something I cover.
I have Cc’d the UPS CEC ukdiinquiries department as they can assist you more. You can also ring the customer helpline at 03457877877 as they to can help.
Kind regards”
“If there was an option less than one star it would have been given.
Absolutely horrendous service. They admitted the parcel had been damaged, accepted liability then tried to say the claim was outside the seven day window for claims… but it was done within that time frame, they then said the packaging was inadequate and sent me links to “guidelines” to follow, non of which state that if I don’t adhere to them I would void the additional insurance paid for the parcel.
Then of course there is the attitude of the staff which needs addressing, it’s absolutely appalling customer service.
Looks like a common thing now for packlink to just not pay out on damages.
Small claims court for me, lawyer prepped and legal costs for them are increasing.
AVOID AT ALL COST. Please if you had a bad experience report them to eBay to have them removed as a provider.”
“This is a warning to anyone who sells through eBay that Packlink shipping is basically a scam. I sent a second-hand rug valued at £110 with them with full insurance - they lost the package, spent 24 hours on their 'investigations' before announcing that they couldn't find it and that they had 'dismissed' my claim on the basis that it was on their 'prohibited items' list. Having accepted the package in full knowledge of its contents (because it's a service where you pay for shipping directly through eBay) and happily taken the circa £11 cost of shipping with extra insurance (which they are not refunding), they are now claiming it's something that shouldn't have been sent through them in the first place?! And that somehow the nature of the contents is relevant to the fact that they LOST a carefully packaged and labelled parcel and absolves them of liability?! I asked for further explanation but they simply ignored me.
To be clear there is NO compensation available for Packlink's own incompetence and negligence and since you're still liable to refund the buyer if they lose your package, you could be left out of pocket to the tune of hundreds of pounds through no fault of your own. I have learned my lesson and will only be using Royal Mail or buying postage direct with a decent courier like DPD in future.
What I find shocking is that eBay has linked up with these people, when they have quietly created a system in which they will not honour insurance for probably 80-90% of the items that get sold through eBay. God knows how many of these 'lost' parcels are ending up in their employees' houses - after all there's no financial loss to the company so why should they care?”
“I sent a turntable using Packlink for an eBay sale. The courier was Hermes. I paid extra for insurance. The item was badly damaged by Hermes. I reported it to Hermes and made a claim with all the details and photos. I waited a month. Then Hermes get in touch and tell me I have to claim from Packlink. Packlink first of all tell me my claim is out of date. I explain the scenario with Hermes. Packlink ask for the details - I send them everything again. Packlink email me and say your claim has been upheld and I will receive my compensation within 30 days. I dispose of the packaging and item. A month later Packlink tell me to send photos of packaging and damage. Obviously I now can’t do this. Many months of arguing and they refuse to pay out.
Con merchants. Appalling service. Do not use!”
“I used PackLink via ebay, and I will NEVER use them again.
A speaker I posted conveniently 'disappeared', even though it was recorded as having been collected first.
Their compensation procedure for reclaiming costs is unnecessarily long, arduous and ridiculously slow. It's been over 12 weeks since my item went missing and despite chasing Packlink 4 times, I'm STILL waiting for payment and have just been told it could still be another 2 months before I receive anything.”
“Avoid this company, if you don't want to lose the parcel. They lost mine (3 parcels in the last few months) and they didn't even refund it. I sent about 20 emails and wasted time providing them all documents they asked for, also invoice from eBay, but didn't help. Instead, I was getting spam with the same email that the name and price of item is missing, but it wasn't! This service is very poor!”
“Three parcels...yes three parcels over a period of six weeks all sent separately and ALL lost. Terrible communication between Hermes who are ranked last and Packlink and Inpost. All tried to blame each other.
Use any of the above at your peril!!”
“They are terrible, just you insurance the item but it is no matter if they lost you are not going to see any payment back so a perfect business for them, a scam of a company”
“They are terrible, just you insurance the item but it is no matter, if they lost you are not going to see any payment back so a perfect business for them, a scam of company”
“I wont even spend time on this they dont deserve my time not even for a bad review. Just avoid. They should be ashamed of what they do. Ebay should stop use them.”
“DO NOT USE (ruined Christmas)
DO NOT USE! Lost 2 of my parcels and remained in the ‘in transit’ mode and made no attempts to tell me they we’re delayed or lost. Then when I tried to claim they had gone missing they replied
“ We regret to inform you that we are unable to process the claim due to the following reason:
It is possible to submit a claim only within and not beyond 30 (thirty) calendar days from the dispatch date.”
Appalled at the service, communication and everything really. Hopefully companies like this crash bad burn and don’t get away with STEALING people’s money, Christmas presents and whatever else it is they want form us.”
“Booking shipping services for items sold on eBay used to be simple and cost effective even after Packlink took over the service. Bookings for Royal Mail services are still good. However, when trying to switch to non RM services such as UPS it all goes horribly wrong. Bookings get duplicated and charges are raised twice. I have tried to engage with eBay and Packlink about these issues but no-one wants to give a proper response. I think there are IT issues which need resolving. The customer experience is poor. I simply won't use them anymore.”
“Item was due on 12th jan....never received it and could not speak to anyone by phone or chat. Terrible, terrible service. Best advice is, NEVER use them!!!!”
“Horrible services, don't use this web.
I paid the transport for my belongings with them and they lost all the packages, after 6 month and a contacting them often waiting for late replies and not even a phone call the solution is only to refund the shipping cost. I paid an insurance of 1000 euros and they didnot refund it to me becuase the invoices i sent for the lost items were older than 60 days from the day of the shipment....absolutely horrible.”
“I contacted the customer service by email for 2 weeks and they were not able to solve the issue. When contacted them via chat the girl closed the chat a minute after saying she was going to look into the issue. Never gave me an explanation. I had to open the chat 3 more times to actually understand what the next steps will be. Only answer given? Someone will email you...”
“Terrible, terrible, terrible service from Packlink and from Hermes of course. Parcel missing, have to jump through hoops to get anywhere at all. No item. No refund for postage charge, WHY?? Will need to refund full amount to buyer even although I am not in the wrong. Absolutely useless service from Packlink. You know what, eBay are at fault here too. I'm giving it serious consideration as to whether I'll continue to use eBay. They're as bad as Packlink and Hermes.”
“Do not use Packlink on E Bay I have just been scammed £60.00 for oversize parcel yet my parcel was in the 180cm rule and E bay just paid it so I complained E Bay not interested so I the looked at postal history on Packlink and found they hade been sending lots of bogus invoices to E bay for the last 12 months and they had paid them all and its several hundred pounds E Bay still not interested so referring it all to the police cyber crimes unit DO YOUSELF A FAVOUR AND UNLINK PACKLINK FROM YOUR E BAY A/C AND HAVE A LOOK AT YOUR POSTAL HISTORY FILE YOU MAY BE IN FOR A SHOCK”
“I am not going to send any packet in future via hermes. I have lost 134 packets during the X-MAS of 20121. I had to refund money to the buyers within 7 days after open a case buy hermes taking around a month to investigate the issues. So, no refund yet by hermes. Oh my God! what a terrible hermes!!!”
“Absolutely rubbish company to deal with. Once you have to claim then the circus starts and takes months to get your compensation. Parcels lost, not delivered or delivered to wrong addresses are very common with this company. It's cheap for a reason.”
