“Tracking a small package from the US - clicked tracking number into Parcelforce and it said there had been an attempted delivery on Saturday morning though no card left and we were in! If not collected then would be returned to sender. Twice sent a message asking where my parcel was - no reply. Automated phone system didn't recognize the number nor my address. Turns out it wasn't handled by Parcelforce at all but Royal Mail! They share the same tracking service apparently but don't distinguish which one to use. So why did no-one contact me? The Royal Mail local depot never answered the phone so I visited the depot - they have my package, denied attempting delivery despite that being what the tracking service says but wouldn't hand it over; I need to return when they have sent me a card in the post! What a fiasco. It might be privatized but still acts like an arrogant state-owned service with no customer care.”
“Terrible service. I was at work when my parcel came so the delivery driver gave me a slip with the wrong post office address. I went to the post office written on the card who obviously did not have the parcel but said they would speak to the driver and phone me. I never received a call. The driver visits both post offices in the area. I phoned parcelforce and after 18 minutes waiting to get through I got an automated voice saying call volumes are too high and to call later. Of course I was annoyed by this and said disgusting. Seconds later an operator answered. It was explained the card had the wrong address and the parcel was going back to the sender. This is 7 days after getting my card. I said I want it redeliver in as it's their mistake so I got put on to another department. Another 7 minute wait and the operator said the same as the last but will phone me if they find my parcel. Doubt it, this is the 3rd time parcelforce have messed up my deliveries this year! If I knew sellers used them I'd buy elsewhere”
“I was expecting 2 deliveries yesterday. Both packages were attempt to delivery at the same time (happens to be school collection time – around 15:30).
One package was left with the neighbor and the other, no card nor instructions on where the package was and how to get it.
I have done the tracking and the package is at Post Office to be collected.
I called to ask for redelivery and they said that the policy is to leave at the Post Office it cannot be redelivered.
The Post office opening times are 9 - 5:30 Monday to Friday. Saturday 1/2 day.
I have to take half day of work if I want to get my precious Parcel.
It is a very poor service. Firstly, the delivery man did not leave any card, second it is reasonable to expect more than one attempt to delivery.
I really would I pay attention next time I purchase from a company. If the company uses PARCELFORCE, I will probably do not purchase from them.
It is THE WORST service from any of the delivery companies such as Yodel or the Royal mail, Amazon, etc.”
“This has got to be one of the worst companies in this country! I have tried to rearrange delivery, have the item sent to my local post office but the people at the Basingstoke depot do not listen, do what they promise and I would definitely NOT recommend them. Awful awful customer service.”
“Had a text message at 07:46 saying my parcel will deliver today. Went on the website at midday and it said it would be deliver at 13:37. At 15:00 I rang to inquired about my parcel only to be told they thought it was a pick up and not delivery. Five minutes later I got a text message to say it would be delivered between 16:05 and 17:07. At 16:30 my building intercom rang as I remotely open the door I saw the parcel force driver putting a paper on the door, as I rang out to catch him he was already in his van ready to go. I waved the paper at him and he said " I thought your buzzer wasn't working".
Poor service. Is this the service am paying for. My company and myself won't be using this service anymore”
“AWFUL service! Misread the address and said would deliver next day and that parcel was on route, this was a lie and eventually admitted that they hadn't bothered. Waited at home for 3 days for what was supposed to be a 24 hour express for £14! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!”
“Placed an order with Screwfix for next day delivery who despatched on time via Parcelforce. Checked Parcelforce tracking during day and it confirmed out for delivery.
Waited in all day, no delivery, checked tracking and it had been updated at 6:20pm to say "Delivery attempted". Absolute rubbish, no attempt had been made to deliver. Roll on the day Parcelforce are put out of business by DPD or similar who offer far superior service by enabling you to track drivers progress live. They also don't lie about attempting to deliver.”
