Where do I start - I have been a loyal PC customer in Santa Fe for about 20 years. Admittedly, they are hit or miss with their fashions i.e., love their modern Ryder and motorcycle pants, pass on their matronly, floral looks. The quality is great out of the store, but every PC fan knows that you either don’t wash the clothes or you hand wash/air dry knowing they are not going to look the same afterwards. It’s not surprising when these clothes don’t last, which is another concession you make when you hand them your credit card for $250 pants and sweaters that cost $399. But, the clothes are unique and you can’t help but buy into this when they are new off the rack. I am writing this review because I’ve reached my breaking point with this retailer: both the quality and customer service have reached a new low, together. I spent $1700 on clothes for my birthday, of course I bought a new color of the motorcycle pant. The next day I took the tag off and pulled them on gripping the waist with a finger loosely placed next to a belt loop. As I pulled them on, the loop ripped out. I took them off and returned them promptly to the store in Santa Fe, with the receipt and in a PC bag they came home in. When I arrived at the store, I was met with rude stares from the store manager - I am assuming she saw me come in with a PC bag, expecting a return. When I presented the clean, unworn pants, I told them the belt loop ripped out the first time I tried on the pants (I know my size, I have 6 pairs of these, more on that later). The other PC associates now congregated around the counter asking “where’s the tag?!?”, to which I replied that I was expecting to wear these to work, that I took the tag off before putting them on. They told me a) I shouldn’t have done that, and b) I put the “pants on WRONG”. I spend $1000s per year in the store and they blame PC’s faulty craftsmanship on how I put their pants on. This eye popping ridicule occurring in front of the very few customers window-shopping at their overpriced, tone deaf store. (An aside: the motorcycle pants used to have real leather details on the front pockets and a size 6 was an actual size 6, now the pants run small where an 8 or even a 10 is now a 6. Quality and details of this item has gone way down from 10 years ago but the price has risen, of course). There you have it, needless to say I won’t be back. And yes I agree with all of the other posts about their abominable shipping policies.

Very recently purchased Annie's Nightgown at 132.04 including hefty shipping charge and tax. Allegedly, this was 10O% pima cotton. However, the material was inferior, horrible ,and scratchy. I ran through washer hoping that getting the chemicals out would soften it up. It did not. Further, instructions say it has to be dried flat which I did. That resulted in it growing 3 or 4 inches. Never seen anything like it. The store obstinately refuses to take it back because it has been washed. Not worn, washed. I am sorry I didn't research reviews before taking a big chance ordering from this unfamiliar company. They do not stand by their merchandise.

Very disappointing and underwhelming customer service. I ordered a dress and paid for overnight shipping. The website says very clearly that it should arrive the next business day. It is now taking double that and they refuse to refund the shipping fee. I have ordered many dresses with this company before and shipping has always been an issue. This company is very expensive and I didn't mind it so much because the products were good and the costumer service was nice. But now I have no motivation to buy with PC anymore.

PC has gone from a place I could always find something I wouldn't see anywhere else to page after nauseating page of various floral-patterned dresses. I rarely bother to even look at their catalogs now.

--Two of three items I ordered did not arrive, though I was billed for them. After 3 phone conversations I still do not have a refund for items that quite clearly were lost by the USPS. If this is not resolved I will have to dispute the credit card charges, which have already been paid. --After placing the order I called for an explanation of an outrageous billing system that I still do not understand. --1-2 years ago they stopped including customer reviews on the revamped website, I suspect because there had been frequent complaints about unreliable sizing, color issues, etc. I will never order from Peruvian Connection again.

I’ve been purchasing items of clothing from Peruvian Connection for years. I love the quality of their product line and their story. You pay for the good quality of their brand and it is worth it. I’ve purchased online and by phone. They have great customer service and are available to help us as one of their consumers. I was privileged to speak with Pat in customer service today. She helped me with some issues of a duplicate order and thought I needed a manager to help me further. I spoke with Jennifer who helped me sort my unique situation out. I’ve chatted with Natalie on a previous phone order who was indeed pleasant, as well. Evidently I made an online order and made a call to an agent, Natalie, for another order making the duplicate order. Jennifer, the manager, helped me realize this mistake and kindly with patience make a return waiving the $7.95 shipping fee to send back under my unique circumstance. Then she helped me create an order for a shirt. The customer service crew is there to help us with our wants and needs. I’ve not had a bad experience that they wouldn’t “want” to help me through. Thank you!

As with all classic clothing retailers, Peruvian Connection designs have changed and yet stayed true to their spirit. I have found many favorite wardrobe pieces here over 30 years. The benchmark with the alpaca wovens is still high and stands out against the clothing trade mass production machine we experience now. Customer service has been strong as well. Most recently I spoke with Jennifer, a professional and informed member of their staff. Thank you Peruvian, for staying true, paying fair wages to garment makers and giving women some creative designs in which to dress our lives.

I haven't dressed up for several years, and now that we're planning a transatlantic trip on the Queen Mary II, I need some nice things. Ten or 15 years ago, I bought a few items from Peruvian Conn and was thrilled with their quality and uniqueness. This time, I ordered three flowery dresses and was so disappointed in their quality I couldn't keep any of them. I returned them all and have gotten a partial refund -- maybe the rest will come. But meanwhile a merchant of high-end OOAK clothing has faded from the scene. It's sad.

My 94 year old mother in law had a Peruvian Connection nightgown she adored, she had purchased from Lands End many years ago. She wore it until it was falling apart. Lands End no longer sells them and I set out on a quest to find he another. I ordered two, one from Lands End (closest to her original) and one from Peruvian Connection. Both were Large. She washed them and Peruvian nightgown swallowed her. They called and said they will not refund the 130.00 due to it being washed. My question is if you wash something and it shrinks down 3 sizes will they still keep your money? Shoulder width 7 inches wider on Peruvian nightgown vs Lands End size large. I will not order from them again.

It's a totally frustrating company. It's like the company is a bunch of little old ladies in Kansas who just don't get technology. Shipping is outrageously expensive, returns are frustrating and expensive, and when they make a mistake they gaslight you by saying, "Well, you can see how easy that mistake was to make." Not really. The color I asked for and the color you sent me do not even have any letters in common!!! And now I am paying $8 to return, plus you won't honor the sale price of when I originally called and requested the item. Stay away. Not worth the frustration.

I’ve just read many unfavorable reviews and wanted to add a 5 star favorable review. I love PC’s beautiful clothing and I have been very happy with my purchases over the 4 years I’ve been their customer.I definitely wouldn’t want to be without any of their clothing and accessories I’ve bought. I respect their very high standard of design and the opportunity to wear high quality Peruvian fabrics. (I love pima.) I look forward to receiving every new catalog and enjoying their Sales. Thank you for making clothing so enjoyable to wear and the constant compliments!

I ordered a dress for Thanksgiving in early October. They told me it would arrive by then. It did not. I called and they said by December. I thought I would have it for Xmas. It did not arrive. I called and they said they weren't sure when it was coming. It is now the end of February and when I called they said it is expected in April. Is this legal? I am very disapointed with their business practices and I am not certain how they can make these false promises. It is confusing how they run their business? If it were me I would cancel the manufacturer relationship.with my business and move forward. This is so disapointing to the consumer

I recently ordered 4 dresses on sale from Peruvian Connection. Before ordering I called to make sure that they would be shipped FED EX and would require a signature before being dropped off. We live in a city where packages are frequently stolen so this was absolutely necessary. The dresses were not shipped Fed Ex and were delived without a signature. Fortunately, I was home and got the package before anyone else. Fortunately, this was not a big deal but slightly annoying. They arrived at least a week later than promised. Again, not a big deal, but did require my calling them a few times to determine the status. Although the style of all the dresses were very nice, the quality of the dresses were not what I would expect from PC. Although they were on sale, they were still expensive. I kept 2 of the dresses which seemed to be better quality. Interestingly, they were made in Peru. The other looked much more cheaply made and when I looked at the tag, they were both made in China. Unlike several people, I did get a refund on the 2 dresses I mailed back within 2 weeks. Also, the people I spoke to several times regarding the slow arrival time were very nice and helpful. Sadly, I don't think I'll be buying clothes from them anymore.

My experiences with Peruvian Connections stores have been excellent! Great merchandise, exceptional quality, unique & original prints and design. The staff are very professional, knowledgeable in product and fashion statements, friendly and willing to go out of their way to assist you in your special purchases. I am a customer with the Washington DC store, while also dealing with the other stores. I highly recommend them!

Hello, I was a multi thousand dollar customer in the ‘1990’s and 2000. Even went to the outlet store in Maryland as I bought so much. The clothes were expensive but worth it. Today I called your service eager to begin my connection with you again. Then I read the reviews. It Truly appears to be a different company. I am saddened. I have been ill and just getting back to shopping. Eager to do it with you again…but cannot afford all that I have read. Maybe the company has gotten too large and greedy. Please get it together. Sincerely, Sharon Hamburg in MI

It is now January no still no refund . They do not send a returns label with your goods , they expect your homes to run like an office with printers ans scanner , l have neither...this company are best to be avoided..they will cost you dearly if you want to return items ..they do not want to refund you and they also get to keep the goods you have returned ..l consider this stealing .

For the most part the fabrics are high quality. My latest and final experience nailed the coffin shut on my support of this company. 1. Ordered 2 pieces to take on an extended vacation out of the country. 2. Paid for 2 day ship. 3. No product 9 days after the order was placed. 4. Shipped 13 days later. 5. Zero communication on the delay. Would have cancelled. 6. Sending back. 7. After conversation with a representative from Peruvian, - no refund of 2 day ship - 7.95$ ding for returning using prepaid. 8. Lovely representative Kelcie. Not her fault. Company policy. The single star is for the quality of garmnets I have from Peruvian. The -4 is for failure to take care of their customer.
