I purchased clothing items from Peruvian Connection over a span of about 20 years. I have not bought anything in the past 5 years because the prices were not aligned with the quality, i.e., overpriced. In the future, I will consider only the Peruvian wools and cottons and bypass overpriced synthetic fabrics mass-produced in Asian countries.

I have been buying from peruvian connection for over 25 years. They had some dreadful new system implementation over 2 years ago that has made the shopping and delivery experience, as well as the financial documentation like invoices, incomprehensible. My latest, and now LAST ORDER, shows that a line item was delivered but it was not. Researching the USPS tracking number shows that USPS doesn't even recognize the number. I am done with this company.

I have been a regular buyer of Peruvian Connection clothing for about 2 decades. 1 out of 2 articles of clothing in my closet are PC. But something has changed for the negative. 1. The website used to allow you to read other shoppers´ reviews. This was so helpful and I counted on the reviews as a guide (size, fit, quality). WHAT HAPPENED ? No more reviews 2. Every item was Made in Peru. No more! WHAT HAPPENED ? 3. The styles and the fabric motifs were luxury/high quality. Now, for the past 6 months or so, everything seems cheap, fast fashion. I am so so disappointed.

I received a dress that was damaged, but Peruvian Connections policy is that although the item arrived damaged, you will still pay for shipping. You cannot be refunded that money. I will not shop here again; poor quality, customer service, and item.

Peruvian Connection has pieces that you can't fins anywhere else. But there are some that are better than others -- maybe the ones really made in Peru? Or maybe the ones that haven't sold so well they have been genericized? I don't tend to return things, so I can't speak to that, but the shipments to me have been timely and accurate. I especially love the Decades coat; it's a lovely warm high-quality classy addition to winter! I have nearly all the colors, and wear them all. My first one was the black one, which I am still using with NO wear to coat or lining after 30 years and occasional dry cleaning. I treasure my beautiful handmade PC knits. I recommend them highly for quality, style and service.

Why did my jacket take about a week to arrive, but its return for a full refund takes approx. six weeke ? In the meantime the company is holding on to my £950. I am now telephoning customer service and they have received my returned jacket, but they have to fill up a palette before shipping it out to the States. The lady blamed Brexit !! I will never use this firm again . It is totally unfair to the customer. Cheshire, January 2025

Atrocious service once again, I am still waiting for the item that I ordered over 2 months ago. I will never order anything from this company again. Excuses are always given relating to problems with the website and no compensation, apology is given. The garments are very expensive and the customer service is underwhelming. It should not be possible to order items which are out of stock but it is.

Peruvian Connection lists velveteen as velvet. It is not the same. Silk velvet is real velvet. Velveteen wrinkles permanently. I bought a jade green top and wore it once. It is so wrinkled I can't wear it again. I also bought a black "velvet dress." Same problem. It was an expensive item and not being able to wear it again is disappointing. I hoped it would last for years. I do not appreciate their shipping fees. They should understand in a competitive market there are merchants that offer free shipping and returns. I have been a customer of this company for nearly 20 years. The customer service and quality have gone down. Also, "Peruvian" does not reflect the origin of all items. The company has eliminated customer critiques. That is suspicious. A good company will receive good reviews as well as some poor ones. Let the customer decide which reviews are pertinent. My items were worn before I noticed the creases. Therefore, I did not return them.

Items ordered Sept 10, were promised by end of September. It end of November and item still has not arrived and company does not provide updates to customers. Even now, date of arrival is ambiguous.

Where do I start - I have been a loyal PC customer in Santa Fe for about 20 years. Admittedly, they are hit or miss with their fashions i.e., love their modern Ryder and motorcycle pants, pass on their matronly, floral looks. The quality is great out of the store, but every PC fan knows that you either don’t wash the clothes or you hand wash/air dry knowing they are not going to look the same afterwards. It’s not surprising when these clothes don’t last, which is another concession you make when you hand them your credit card for $250 pants and sweaters that cost $399. But, the clothes are unique and you can’t help but buy into this when they are new off the rack. I am writing this review because I’ve reached my breaking point with this retailer: both the quality and customer service have reached a new low, together. I spent $1700 on clothes for my birthday, of course I bought a new color of the motorcycle pant. The next day I took the tag off and pulled them on gripping the waist with a finger loosely placed next to a belt loop. As I pulled them on, the loop ripped out. I took them off and returned them promptly to the store in Santa Fe, with the receipt and in a PC bag they came home in. When I arrived at the store, I was met with rude stares from the store manager - I am assuming she saw me come in with a PC bag, expecting a return. When I presented the clean, unworn pants, I told them the belt loop ripped out the first time I tried on the pants (I know my size, I have 6 pairs of these, more on that later). The other PC associates now congregated around the counter asking “where’s the tag?!?”, to which I replied that I was expecting to wear these to work, that I took the tag off before putting them on. They told me a) I shouldn’t have done that, and b) I put the “pants on WRONG”. I spend $1000s per year in the store and they blame PC’s faulty craftsmanship on how I put their pants on. This eye popping ridicule occurring in front of the very few customers window-shopping at their overpriced, tone deaf store. (An aside: the motorcycle pants used to have real leather details on the front pockets and a size 6 was an actual size 6, now the pants run small where an 8 or even a 10 is now a 6. Quality and details of this item has gone way down from 10 years ago but the price has risen, of course). There you have it, needless to say I won’t be back. And yes I agree with all of the other posts about their abominable shipping policies.

Very recently purchased Annie's Nightgown at 132.04 including hefty shipping charge and tax. Allegedly, this was 10O% pima cotton. However, the material was inferior, horrible ,and scratchy. I ran through washer hoping that getting the chemicals out would soften it up. It did not. Further, instructions say it has to be dried flat which I did. That resulted in it growing 3 or 4 inches. Never seen anything like it. The store obstinately refuses to take it back because it has been washed. Not worn, washed. I am sorry I didn't research reviews before taking a big chance ordering from this unfamiliar company. They do not stand by their merchandise.

Very disappointing and underwhelming customer service. I ordered a dress and paid for overnight shipping. The website says very clearly that it should arrive the next business day. It is now taking double that and they refuse to refund the shipping fee. I have ordered many dresses with this company before and shipping has always been an issue. This company is very expensive and I didn't mind it so much because the products were good and the costumer service was nice. But now I have no motivation to buy with PC anymore.

PC has gone from a place I could always find something I wouldn't see anywhere else to page after nauseating page of various floral-patterned dresses. I rarely bother to even look at their catalogs now.

--Two of three items I ordered did not arrive, though I was billed for them. After 3 phone conversations I still do not have a refund for items that quite clearly were lost by the USPS. If this is not resolved I will have to dispute the credit card charges, which have already been paid. --After placing the order I called for an explanation of an outrageous billing system that I still do not understand. --1-2 years ago they stopped including customer reviews on the revamped website, I suspect because there had been frequent complaints about unreliable sizing, color issues, etc. I will never order from Peruvian Connection again.

I’ve been purchasing items of clothing from Peruvian Connection for years. I love the quality of their product line and their story. You pay for the good quality of their brand and it is worth it. I’ve purchased online and by phone. They have great customer service and are available to help us as one of their consumers. I was privileged to speak with Pat in customer service today. She helped me with some issues of a duplicate order and thought I needed a manager to help me further. I spoke with Jennifer who helped me sort my unique situation out. I’ve chatted with Natalie on a previous phone order who was indeed pleasant, as well. Evidently I made an online order and made a call to an agent, Natalie, for another order making the duplicate order. Jennifer, the manager, helped me realize this mistake and kindly with patience make a return waiving the $7.95 shipping fee to send back under my unique circumstance. Then she helped me create an order for a shirt. The customer service crew is there to help us with our wants and needs. I’ve not had a bad experience that they wouldn’t “want” to help me through. Thank you!

As with all classic clothing retailers, Peruvian Connection designs have changed and yet stayed true to their spirit. I have found many favorite wardrobe pieces here over 30 years. The benchmark with the alpaca wovens is still high and stands out against the clothing trade mass production machine we experience now. Customer service has been strong as well. Most recently I spoke with Jennifer, a professional and informed member of their staff. Thank you Peruvian, for staying true, paying fair wages to garment makers and giving women some creative designs in which to dress our lives.

I haven't dressed up for several years, and now that we're planning a transatlantic trip on the Queen Mary II, I need some nice things. Ten or 15 years ago, I bought a few items from Peruvian Conn and was thrilled with their quality and uniqueness. This time, I ordered three flowery dresses and was so disappointed in their quality I couldn't keep any of them. I returned them all and have gotten a partial refund -- maybe the rest will come. But meanwhile a merchant of high-end OOAK clothing has faded from the scene. It's sad.

My 94 year old mother in law had a Peruvian Connection nightgown she adored, she had purchased from Lands End many years ago. She wore it until it was falling apart. Lands End no longer sells them and I set out on a quest to find he another. I ordered two, one from Lands End (closest to her original) and one from Peruvian Connection. Both were Large. She washed them and Peruvian nightgown swallowed her. They called and said they will not refund the 130.00 due to it being washed. My question is if you wash something and it shrinks down 3 sizes will they still keep your money? Shoulder width 7 inches wider on Peruvian nightgown vs Lands End size large. I will not order from them again.
