“Just getting back into gaming and didn’t want to purchase a console so I thought I would give Backbone a try. I was not disappointed. It does what it says and the integration of their app is slick. Highly recommend.”

“I purchased the Backbone hoping to use it with my iPadPro 4th gen (USB C) I noted that the Backbone was compatible with the iPadPro but I did not note anything it what I read that it was not compatible with the USB C iPads. So it is now collecting dust Maybe I can Ebay it”

“The controller is easy to plug in and remove, and buttons/thumb sticks feel good and responsive. I just use this for a mobile game I like so I can't comment on the backbone game hub. I did have an issue about 6 months in where the cast button would continuously get triggered, making gameplay impossible, but backbone support was quick to handle my warranty claim and I was able to exchange the controller for a new one.”

“The thing is great except it would be great if it came with instructions . I mean yeah it gives tips and trick and a little video but sometimes that’s just not enough so other then that it’s great I’m just frustrated because of tech difficulties”

“Better than even expected. Works with all the games I play on the iPhone and with Xbox Game Pass. Use it for games on my MacBook as well. Well worth the price.”

“Amazing! I bought this for my husband because he is deploying for 9 months. I paid the expedited shipping since we don’t know the exact day he leaves. we received it in 2 days and he has been playing and LOVES it. 🙌🏽 I STRONGLY recommend this.”

“Really great product. Between the controller and the included app this really does turn an iphone into a legit gaming platform. The buttons are very positive and the triggers feel great. Sensitivity on the triggers and sticks are great. The best part, that I never would have though of, is getting my fingers off of the screen to see everything”

“Best purchase for avid gamers! Plays great on my iPhone and laptop. Wish a quick reference guide was included but their website is very helpful. It got here faster than was expected. You do need to order a female lightning cable if you plan on using it with your iPad. Overall, SUPER pleased.”

“The controller itself is all I could ever hope for in a phone controller. It is certainly not the most comfortable to hold, but that's to be expected with phone controllers. As for the software, I do have some criticisms. First of all, there is no way to close out of games using the controller. The home button opens the Backbone app, sure, but the game you were playing remains open as well. So for maximum performance you have to manually close out of the game using the touch screen, which defeats the whole purpose of the home button in the first place. Secondly, web apps do not appear on the Backbone app. This means that to use streaming services like Xbox Game Pass or Google Stadia, you have to exit the Backbone app and find the web app on your home screen. This again destroys the immersion of the Backbone app. It is trying to make things feel like a console experience, but with these two issues it fails to deliver that experience. I have no doubt in my mind that both issues can be solved through software updates, so I'd love to see it happen.”
