Spoke with Marcy at public storage 168 Farm Lake Road. Boiling Springs SC. She was very professional and very helpful with the storage unit. She answered all of my questions and went over and beyond to help me. She even help correct the mishap. Thank you so much Marcy for your help. Lanita W

Piracy practices on monthly rental rates. Wheaton Illinois, Brugge Street Our rate went up by 50% per month over a short period of time. When I spoke with the representative and asked why the rate would increase so much I was told that due to high occupancy rates were increased to reflect current market rates. That would imply that rates will decrease when occupancy decreases. I’m checking on it with them, but my hunch is they will not decrease the rates. Pretty slimy business practices.

What started off as a really stressful unsetteling experience trying to obtain my unit, ended up being a beautiful experience. I made reservations for a unit via Google on Monday night. Once I packed my car I headed over to my location to receive my unit. Upon arriving at my location I was greeted by an employee whom would meet me at the door, to inform me that he was closing. I relayed to him that I had a reservations and I was here to receive my storage. He advise me to go on line to complete everything cause he had to leave. Disturb by his careless behavior I reached out to customer service who directed me to.another location. The location was 6255 Ga Hwy 85. Once I arrived at the that location I was greeted by associate Shun. Let me tell you that this young lady went ABOVE and BEYOND to assist me in getting my unit. Not only did she express her apologie for my inconvenience, but she made me feel a GREAT sense of relief in the mist of my struggle. She made calls and found solutions to accommodate me. She also offed me tissue for my tears along with words of motivation and encouragement. This young lady definitely deserves to be the face of Public Storage brand. We are in a time where people are facing challenging moments and to have someone who actually takes the time to understand and help in trying times is indeed a BLESSING. I would like to extend my GRATITUDE and SINCERELY thank Shaun for her supportive caring attitude and GREAT customer service. Thank you Public Storage for employing a GEM. I wish her and abundance of blessings throughout her walk in life. GRATITUDE

Worst company, awful California based company. Zero customer service, but love raising the rates till you’ve had enough. Stay away, far away. Not to mention the rats that are overrunning the place.

Rented unit to small, ignorant employee didn't know how to use same account to up grade to a bigger unit, created another account. I was attempting to make triple check that I wouldn't be charged, she assured me as long as things were out on the first,I'd be okay Storage was empty and clean on the 31st and those dirty rotten scoundrels charged my card and it is taking an act of congress to get my money back. Big bank companies suck! I will use mom and pop Storage if I ever need another one.

Public storage should tell people that 6 months after you rent a storage unit , they raise the rent almost 50% higher..My storage was $62.00 ,I went to pay the next month and it said $117.00 . I contacted them and they said that the rent went up . That is almost double the normal rent..SO BEWARE THEY DONT ADVERTISE THAT THE RENT WILL ALMOST DOUBLE AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS.

I was mistreated at a PS facility but eventually received a call from Public Storage management and had my issue completely resolved. Glad to say there is still some accountability and customer service even from the big guys. I would use Public Storage again.

I am extremely disappointed in the customer service provided by the regional manager, Lisa. She lacked empathy and continuously spoke over me when I tried to discuss my concerns about a rate increase. On top of that, the information she provided was inconsistent with what I was told previously. I recently received a rate increase of 47%, which is outrageous. After reading numerous negative reviews, I now realize that I am not alone in this experience. It feels like Public Storage is taking advantage of its customers by implementing drastic rate increases that push people out. I understand that businesses need to adjust rates to account for costs, but a 47% increase is unreasonable by any standard—unless, of course, you are Public Storage. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone who values their money. I strongly believe that states should establish rental increase caps for storage facilities, similar to those in the rental housing market. It’s unfair that Public Storage can implement such steep increases with only 15-30 days' notice. With the rising cost of living, they should strive to be fair and consistent. For reference, the average cost of a 10x20 storage unit in Lynnwood, WA is approximately $273 per month, based on current market data. Public Storage’s pricing and policies are well above this and feel exploitative. Avoid this company if you can.

When I moved in to Public storage, I wasn't told that Public storage raises your storage by over $70 every 6 months. And like I said not by a few dollars but over $70 at each time. The two ladies working were nice at first but when I said to one of them. If I could talk to someone about lowering my bill. Then she had nothing to say no offers to lower my bill. From a bill that started at $180 after one year my bill would have been $337.00 a month starting February first. So after telling my kids how much my bill was going to be on February first. And with me being on a fixed income. Yesterday they came and moved me out of public storage and it to a more reasonable place. And I will tell everyone unless you have over $70 for every 6 months with public storage to be added to your bill. Don't Do It look somewhere else.

As a loyal Public Storage customer since 2017, I am extremely frustrated with the lack of professionalism I experienced with property manager Miranda. I formally complained about her behavior in March 2023 when she refused to answer my questions and spoke to me in a condescending manner. Despite promises from corporate that my concerns would be taken seriously, nothing has changed. While traveling for work in Boston, I encountered further issues when items scheduled for auction on December 24th were mishandled due to technical difficulties I had with payments on my larger unit. Miranda insisted I had to pay on time, yet I was unable to make the payment because the system wouldn’t accept it. Despite having the funds available, I missed the deadline. When I finally reached Miranda after many attempts, instead of receiving help, I felt dismissed. I urgently asked her to contact the buyer of my items, which included personal documents, but she continued to avoid my calls and failed to follow through with any assistance over the next several days. After another week of attempts to reach her, I connected with a manager at a different location who quickly resolved my queries. This entire experience left me feeling disregarded by Miranda and Public Storage. Despite my many attempts at communicating, I have not received any feedback from corporate or the district manager. Overall, my customer service experience has been unacceptable. If you’re considering using Public Storage, think twice. You may find yourself at a loss for words—or worse, for your belongings.

I rented 5x5 storage in Miami in November 2023 at the price of $51 pm. They increased the price in June 2024 to $73. I’ve just received an email that the rent will be increased from February 2025 to $91!! This company is worth $52.35 billion! Stop this! Do not rent from them. They have just acquired Simply Self Storage for $2.2 billion, and are looking to buy Life Storage. Unless you like to throw money away, do not rent from them

I went to Public storage on McKellips in Mesa AZ. New manager Q (it’s her name) was very nice: friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I had a couple of questions and Q gave me perfect explanation. It’s a second time we are getting a storage unit at that location, and we never had any problems. All our items are safe and secured. Thank you very much! We appreciate you!

Just moved out of my Public Storage unit. Awful company, mostly a cash grab with little consideration for customer. If it were not for employees Osman and Dolly before him (who were excellent and very helpful) I would have left a long time ago. Mainly the problem is that they seem to expect one person to run the whole place at any given time and it can't be done. If I needed to talk to a person I had to wander the halls and find where they were cleaning. Never enough carts, automatic doors and elevators go down often. Elevator was out for a week once. Never again.

I had the best experience I’ve ever had with a storage company at Public Storage 28028 and Ms Debra! She went above and beyond to not only help me with lowering my costs but also erasing some unnecessary fees in a truly difficult time of my life! Will never go anywhere else for my storage needs!

I would like to recognize "Erick" at the Public Storage at 5180 S. Dort Hwy in Flint, Michigan. Erick is a hard working Employee. I have an indoor unit and I saw all the floors mopped and it smelled so clean. Honestly, he is the only employee that mopped and cleaned the area. He is very polite and professional and very helpful. Good Job Public Storage for hiring this young man! I give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
