Avoid like the plague. Three engineer visits for a 1.5 year old dishwasher not heating water. First engineer diagnosed problem as heating element. Second engineer fitted a new wash pump (allegedly a special Zanussi special order part) 28 days later . Third engineer phones to say Repaircare have sent him the same part again (heating element). Three days of your time, several phone calls and letters will get you nowhere. Repaircare simply ignore customers, provide shoddy and unethical service. Please please avoid if your value your time.

Do not use this company! I have been in contact with them 5 times-. The first time to make the initial booking, call responded to quickly, booking made and £119 paid. It goes drastically down hill after that. Engineer turned up as planned, did not seem to know much about the fault, replaced pump but did not stay to check fault was repaired. 10 minutes after him leaving it was clear it wasn’t repaired and same fault code appeared on machine. Then the real hassle begins! 4 calls later (each time you have to wait 30 mins for the call to be answered!) still not managed to have my complaint resolved and refund made. They will only refund if you agree to another engineer visit but they can’t tell you when that will be! I was told on Friday last week that there was no one available to take complaints and that it would be logged and someone would call me back on Monday. Monday and most of Tuesday came and went with no call. Today I decided on a different tactic and called their initial booking line and guess what all was answered in 3 minutes!!!! Call me cynical but it seems this company are happy to take your money and lull you into a false feeling of security that all is well. On making a fuss and insisting that the operator put me through to someone I eventually spoke with a complaints handler. I had to threaten that I would continue to repeatedly phone the booking no until I got the response. So at last you think you might be getting somewhere! Alas No! The complaints handler still refuses my request for a refund insisting that they only pay refunds unless an engineer revisits! I have no spare time and no desire to lose another days work to wait for this to happen so stalemate! I’ve now given up! I will try to retrieve my money by going directly to the bank to see if they can do anything to refund my money.

Do not use this company. Been trying since July (it's now November) for a refund as the repair to my washing machine would have cost a lot more than the £139.00 I had paid and they declined the repair. Fair enough. But, to date, after numerous calls to them, at premium rates, I still haven't received my refund. Today I was told to forward copies of my Credit Card Statement to them to prove I hadn't received my refund. Worst company I've had the misfortune to use. Beware.

It’s a premium phone number and you will be hanging on for at least 30 minutes. Try this twice and it will cost you in excess of£20. A 2 minute call is £1.67. Terrible terrible service, don’t waste your life dealing with this company

Fridge Lamona freezing below zero degrees, company recommended Repaircare. No chance having read comments and I notice when clicking 'helpful' the vote gets deleted. Looks a very dodgy Repaircare!

Seems like I am another dissatisfied customer. Warranty repair on a Rangemaster Cooker and they can give me no ETA on parts or repair after 2 months .... shockingly poor

One star is two stars too many! Absolutely useless and awful. Four months, about thirty phone calls (waiting 30 minutes to an hour each time), three engineer visits, original problem still not fixed and now a new problem after the engineer's last failure to fix original problem. I was told several times engineer was booked to come but then never turned up. DO NOT USE REPAIRCARE. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO WASTE TIME AND MONEY. I paid £129 for an engineer to repair my Fridge Freezer. Get a full refund if not repairable. Engineer came, spent 10 min telling me there was nothing wrong. (Fridge was getting warmer) did nothing and left. I week later the fridge and freezer stopped working. Engineer came. Shook his head said too big a job for me needs specialists. It’s the condenser. Off he went. 4 weeks later I’ve rang twice, waiting 20 min to get through. Which I am being charged for. Told they could not mend and the machine was badly installed. I disputed this as put in 8 years ago by a professional. Said an engineer would ring me. Guess what no phone call. I have today asked for a refund only to be told I would only receive £84 as the engineer did call. Wonder how long that will take to get to my bank. I have since arranged for another company to call, having been told by them that the fridge freezer should last at least 15 years. A repair will be be made next week. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE ROGUE.. AND DONT CARE. wish I had looked at reviews before going ahead.

Do Not Use this Company: They took £99 from me to repair my Dryer and gave me a day in which they would attend. I was told, categorically, that if they could not fix it they would refund all of my £99. The repairman called me and asked exactly the problem and he told me that it was the heating element and that he would bring one with him. He, eventually, turned up and pressed a reset button and left. It never worked. I have telephoned them countless times and, eventually, they said they would return all of my £99. Eventually, I got a refund of £45. I telephoned again and they said they would only send half because the repairman did attend. Since then I have called many times and they, eventually, told me that they would send me the whole refund. Guess what? No refund. I telephoned again and they said a manager would call me back. Guess what? Still waiting. When Hell freezes over I hope they are all underneath the ice.

I paid Repaircare £155 to repair a wine cooler that was not cooling. They identified the problem and replaced the part. Three months later I have the same problem, I rang the company to be told, 'the warranty is 90 days, this is the 91st day!'. I appreciate warranty time limits, but several hours over the limit and they won't repair it! I won't be using them again.

Ripped off for £195. They ought to be whipped, flogged and locked up.

DO NOT USE. I informed the booking people of the problem, the age of the appliance, and serial numbers etc. They sent out an engineer to spend 10 mins confirming the faults and said he would get parts ordered. Without further contact part of the fee was returned to my account so i am £45 light for nothing. I sensed what was going to happen from the attitude of the engineer.

Awful service will not give a time slot, text at 8am with a list of places they had to go we weren't back til 10.30am they then said to re book , nearest slot 1 and a half weeks away, didn't care they were leaving us with no fridge or freezer, not my choice but Curry's use these people treatment of customers over the phone is appalling and are very patronising and unhelpful AVOID AT ALL COST

Totally pathetic. Repaircare cannot be bothered to arrange appointments for anything other than whole day or inform you of the progress of the job. In our case, the part we needed was apparently obsolete but nobody bothered to inform us until we queried it because the engineer, who had promised to return on a particular day to fit the part, just didn't turn up. Then noted job was down as complete on their website. Difficult to contact by phone and don't bother messaging them, because they don't reply.

Engineer cancelled several visits and then didn't turn up - 1 month after first logged. Tried to cancel on-line but no confirmation or refund from Repaircare. Telephone just keeps you waiting until you give up.

Terrible service deserves a big fat zero. Had to wait for a date which was cancelled twice. Engineer was in and out in 10 mins. He replaced the heating element but I don't think the fault was diagnosed. Next day the dishwasher caused our electrics to fail. When the engineer returned he said it wasn't worth repairing and to buy a new one. I have phones up a number of times to be told I would receive a partial refund which became no refund. So much for a 90 day guarantee. This company has not given any explanation and is not worth bothering with. I have paid for something that was sold to me under false pretenses and the guarantee is worthless. Everyone out there BEWARE repaircare as they don't repair or care.

Engineer came out after waiting all day and said it's 1 of 3 parts. He called his depot said parts are ordered and he'll be back the following Wednesday, if not sooner. Waited in all day again and got a text saying its not going to be repaired...unbelievable. Making us wait a week expecting the fridge to be repaired and to be told after a week on the day we are waiting for it to be repaired. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!.. They aren't worth the one star but won't allow no stars.

I am an engineer and manager myself I got in touch with this so called repair specialist to repair my fridge/freezer was told if couldn't repair would get a refund!!! Well they couldn't repair it and I am still waiting with bated breath for my refund!!! I have rung them every day for almost 2 weeks and every time been fobbed off with a manager will call you back and so on and so forth!!! I think they need to employ more managers who can make a decision and actually do as promised I have never been treated so badly by a company before and would implore anyone debating using repair your joking care not to under any circumstances!!!!

I found my way to the repaircare website and filled out the first few items having to do with the job I want done. Several things stopped me from going through with the repair. First, how can they quote an amount for a 'full, guaranteed' repair if they don't know what the job is? Second, what kind of company charges you to phone them other than the kind of company whose business model includes making money from every aspect of the customer relationship? Third, how can they claim to be a real business with more than 90% of their customers rating them at one star (or less, to judge from the comments)? Why on earth would anyone deal with these people?
