Garbage website. Them ppl will hold your money and not pay the seller there money. Always saying they verifying funds witch is nonsense! They hold you money and verify nothing, they don't call you to verify nothing. Give you the run around. Fo not shop here. If you want a good shopping experience. These people do NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS!

Be careful when you sell at reverb. They don’t support you if your stuff get damaged while shipping or damaged by the buyer. My expensive guitar was broken while shipping. They don’t even have a customer service number. I just deleted my account with credit card information

Hi, Reverb does not look after international buyers when the seller changes their mind after payment and then gouges $2,000 more because he believed under sold the guitar. I am out of pocket $283 because the seller refunded the money THE VERY NEXT DAY. Reverb said it was " transaction Fee exchange " but paypal said Ebay covers that sort of situation so dont buy from Vintage World Guitars L. A . USA . probably just another " " Bedroom Guitar Shop "reverb allows and protects. Reverb Even Threatened me to close my account for complaining on Social Media, who the heck do they think they are , very bad lesson for me so beware :-(

Reverb allows sellers to lie about the condition of guitars. I was looking at a guitar the seller said was used in the listing yet in the description the seller called it “another new guitar”. I reported this to reverb and they said it was ok because it was used as a descriptor. I told the guy that “ like brand new “ would be a more honest representation to potential and the reverb guy got mad and closed my account. Reverb is all about keeping sellers happy!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

My husband is a collector and for Christmas I bought him a 1976 Les Paul Artisan through Reverb. I paid a total cost at arrival of $7,396 USD (a several thousand dollar premium over similar guitars) based on the listing of “excellent condition with no wear, dents, nothing in its OHSC.” The order arrived poorly packaged and with the neck broken off nearly entirely because guitar case it was shipped in was not original and was was too deep for the guitar, causing all the weight to be on the neck. No other packaging. It had many additional dings, scratches and modifications. I received no help from the seller (who ghosted me right off the bat), no resolution from Reverb, no refund and no insurance to cover it since the packaging was at fault. And even if I am lucky to collect any insurance whatsoever, the seller under insured it by thousands. First, Reverb’s buyer protection that they post all over their website is worthless. Read the fine print and you have 7 days from arrival to make a claim regardless of what the seller’s listing is. In this case the seller said they would refund the money if the guitar arrived other than as described. Obviously a broken neck, OHSC and heavy mods is different as described and is cause for a refund. Reverb’s response - they refunded $500 to help pay for the repair. Worthless since the neck is trashed and the entire value of this collectors guitar is gone. This is the first and last time I will ever use Reverb.

And we have a new BS issue with Reverb and of course, they don't want to react on this. I especially added a credit to pay for goods, well, the only option that I got was paypal to pay for that item. So, I paid with paypal because I had no other choice. Since it's useless to have my credit card details on their website because I didn't get any choice anyway, I wanted to remove my credit card. It doesn't work, I have to add another credit card to remove my other credit card! We're coming to a point now, that, me, as a customer don't even has any saying about his own property. This is my credit card and if I don't want to have my credit card details on their website, they simply have to remove it. They have zero saying in this. But this the arrogance of these big companies nowadays, they don't care for one second what their clients want.

Do not use, they are thieves. I sold 2 items on their site, a total of over £500. All of my bank and personal details had been entered carefully and double checked. After the items had been sold the 'my earnings' section of my account showed that the money had been paid to my account. After weeks of still not having the money I decided to email their support (this took a long time to find and is very difficult to do and get a response). I was then fobbed off and told I had entered my account details incorrectly which was not the case. I now can't get a response or a resolution and am £540 out of pocket.

I ordered a pair of white passive speakers .when I got the speakers and plug them in they played like a transistor radio.when I tryed to call or get ahold of Reverb to take care of the problem they did not respond at all. and it's been 2 weeks now no response at all the system is in need of a subwoofer. the two speakers cannot be sold without a subwoofer and they know this I thought that I was establishing a good relationship with someone online to buy gear from on the first purchase

I noticed that they are advertising a guitar as a Fender Telecaster when the body is “unknown” and the neck and parts are fender. You can see it on the description; but I don’t think a guitar that doesn’t have a fender body should be advertised as a fender telecaster without a disclaimer.

Good to see all the negative reviews here. My experience similar to many others posted here. Reverb was a good site when it first started, customer service was excellent. My last deal with Reverb they supported a seller who failed to honestly describe the guitar as a factory 2nd. Never again. They lost an excellent buyer and seller, near 100 transactions when I cancelled my membership.

Reverb is the absolute worst when it comes to service as a seller unless you buy the expensive insurance from them they won't help with shipping issues. What they don't tell you is UPS considers them the shipper and wont return your merchandise or work with you as a seller if there is a shipping issue. I lost $1000 bucks this way and they told me to bad so sad and would not intervene.

Where sites like eBay often differs sometimes too much to the buyer Reverb doesn't respect buyers at all! I've bought and sold on Reverb and the rarer occasions there was an issue sellers took care of the matter. Recently however, I had a seller not cooperate When I explained an amplifier I purchased had an issue. When I exhausted the road with the seller I escalated to Reverb support. They were throwing the burden of proof upon me asking I video the intermittent issue the amplifier was doing. How am I supposed to prove an intermittent issue with an amplifier being disabled and not technically evolved enough to video? I don't own that kind of equipment, I'm older and disabled. I certainly didn't purchase this amplifier so I could turn around and have to repack it and send it back. This isn't a high volume seller by any means I have more feedback than they do. He must be related to somebody at Chicago Music Exchange/Reverb or something. This is why Reverb divorced itself from buyers using PayPal because you have that road to go and they've taken that away from buyers. I ignore that and use it for most purchases but happened to choose Affirm so I could spread out the payments on this purchase. Apparently I will have to go to Better Business Bureau and beyond since there's no support in the support department at Reverb. With Guitar Center filing Chapter 11 you would think Reverb/Chicago Music Exchange would be more buyer friendly.

Reverb.com fees are OUTRAGEOUS NOW. They're now taking upwards of 20% and that's AFTER you pay for postage. Forget it. Just another greedy online service. Going back to eBay.

Reverb has moved away from PayPal. Initiating their own version of managing funds. It is more expensive, very slow (week and half to recognize funds on a $860 transaction). Compared to previous dealings where transactions were instant "funds received" and ability ship out next day. Especially if you're a 5 star rated user, with accolades professing ease of dealing, product as described. Reverb's new pay-system is more like being penalized for the few bad actors on Reverb.

Used Reverb for the first time and Bought a £1000 Gibson Banjo, which turned out to be a cheap copy with Gibson neck bolted onto a resent cheap body making it worth very little, The UK Seller ‘The Guitar Lounge’ in Retford agreed the return but disagreed with my reasons, saying it was legit. I had to pay the return postage £67. Getting credit on the website to the postage amount . The seller then didnt Refund the money within 48 hours and would not answer emails, I feared the worst. Rob (Who was fantastic) in Reverb customer Support stepped in and sorted out my Refund instantly. I wouldn't buy from ‘The Guitar Lounge’ Retford UK again, and I dont blame them for selling a fake Gibson Banjo as it could have been a genuine mistake, BUT refusing to Answer emails and send the refund after I spent £1000 was very Cruel and stressful for me, but the Reverb People were great ! Ps Only gave 4 stars because I got credit for postage.

I have bought and sold thousands and thousands of dollars worth of gear over the last decade on reverb.com. But as of recent, Reverb.com has just become too cumbersome. In fact, it used to be my nightly ritual to peruse the site, but no more. Here is why: They have edged out Pay Pal (not that Pay Pal does not blow too). You can no longer have your funds go directly into your Pay Pal account they must be transferred directly into a linked bank account. Not happy about that for 1.) Security reasons, 2.) much harder to keep my Mad Money obscured from my wife. I am sure this rings true with a lot of guys. Additionally, their fees are now ridiculous, especially when you add taxes (Taxes for something that has already had taxes levied against it the first time it was purchased). It is my opinion that Reverb.com has made a major mis-step with the above noted changes. Decide for yourself...Take look at all the negative reviews here. That should tell you something. Etsy has ruined Reverb.com

POS company. Makes it seem like they have everything taken care of and then you get an email almost 3 months after the sell was completed saying the shipping label they printed for me was wrong and I owe more money. No way to dispute, no way to do anything but lose money they took from me on this. Only thing I've ever sold through reverb, will never use site again.
