At 07.45 the letter I paid £6.60 to send by guaranteed next day delivery arrived at a Royal Mail Depot under 1 mile from the delivery address. Royal Mail then said that it had been delivered to the wrong depot and was being re routed. It’s now 16.30 and it’s not been delivered and no one knows where it is. Same thing happened last year and it took a week to deliver. NEVER AGAIN!!! Total inefficient and not interested in trying to help...RUBBISH!,,,

Absolutely disappointed, the deliverer supposedly tried to deliver the parcel, Didn’t even ring the door bell and didn’t even have the common sense to leave it with a neighbour now I have to trek to an office 1 hour and 30 mins away in order to get a parcel I urgently needed today.

Paid for signed and track. The tracking information has not been updated to show that my letter has left the post office. I now that it has been delivered as I have been notified by the recipient. This was my old passport that is up for renewal, so an important document. Post office you only provided half of the service that I paid for.

Absolutely useless. Parcel has been out for delivery for two days. Caught the postie today who was clueless and mumbled “if it’s in the van it’ll be back round in 10 mins”. An hour later and still nothing! Been on the phone to their ‘customers service’ for the past 40 mins and still no answer.... useless ********

So I got a message yesterday to say my parcel would be arriving between 9:45 and 11:45. No parcel has arrived and when you track it says still in Swindon. So joe been on phone for 45 minutes and no advisor still available. What a waste of my time when I need to go out

Dreadful service, 2 x tracked and signed parcels sent 29th October and still says just out of customers in destination country, updates have been very sketchy. As for the customer service, it’s outrageous, automated nonsense, phones you could wait for a week to get answered if your lucky. I doubt the queen sends and loses parcels like this, think it’s time to lose the “Royal “ status.

My brother sent a small jiffy package to me from Newhaven to the Costa Del Sol Spain. Used Tracking service. Never got here. Their tracking said I was out. Ok you moron leave a card, no card. Phoned RM in England they hadn’t got a clue where it was. Spanish Correos said it was still in England. This my dear readers is what society has come to. Never will I use the postal service ever again.

Absolutely shocking service. I called Royal Mail this afternoon regarding an issue we have had, where a padded envelope had been delivered to my Nan’s address as ‘Signed for’, yet had not been signed for by my Nan. The envelope had been post through the letter box with no mention of the fact that it had been opened and whatever was inside, removed. I called Royal Mail to address the problem, find out who had supposedly signed for it and figure out what the next steps would be in order to retrieve what was inside the envelope, track down where the issue had occurred, find out why the parcel has a signature against it even though nobody had signed for the parcel and find out where the parcel came from. I had been speaking to a lady who gave the name Hayley, when we asked to speak to her manager after she forgot to mute herself when remarking to another colleague “Urgh I can’t wait to get off this call”. Hayley was unable to offer us any form of solution/information on where the parcel had come from/compensation despite us missing whatever we had ordered, right in the run up Christmas. We are waiting for a call tomorrow to discuss this with a manager and hopefully get a more helpful response other than ‘all we can do is file a complaint’ and get told that ‘on this occasion it will be dealt with internally and nobody would be getting back to you”

Horrible service. Takes forever to reach an actual person, can't they afford to hire more people? Will not deliver in the tie specified.

CURIOUS! Unlike other courier companies that manage to ring the door bell and give me the parcel, Royal mail seem hell bent on just posting a card through the door asking you to collect the parcel?! I have been home for the 4 Royal Mail "Deliveries" when a card has simply been posted through the letter box - I know this to be true as I receive Amazon packages daily and when I answer the door to everyone else there is a Royal Mail MISSED red card lying on the door mat. The fact that I am house bound is why I know of any visitor and there is a good reason why I need things delivered to my door - If I could easily pop out to the shops (or the post office to collect what I asked to be delivered to my home) then I would! What is the point of DELIVERY when you have to collect it???!!! This is not a reflection on Royal mail but lazy delivery drivers who just 'card it'...

Have been shocked at the ineptitude and sneaky behaviour of Royal Mail. 1) Holding a gift because of an insanely expensive "customs fee" 2) Website to pay fees constantly glitched, accepting then rejecting payments for no apparent reason. Three days after payment was "accepted", I receive a grey note from the postman instead of the package. Turns out payment was rejected after being accepted. No reason given. 3) Registration for online Royal Mail account had suspiciously confusing checkboxes for privacy/wanting to exit auto spam settings 4) Illegible reference number written on the grey ransom card that was sent instead of the parcel 5) lack of phone service to deal with problems 6) If and when they actually will try and deliver the package, I know I'll have to wait around all day because they are unspecific with times and refuse to leave the package in a safe place. Now, at nine months pregnant with back pain, I'll have to hobble half an hour to the post office to try and resolve these issues which really didn't need to be created in the first place. Really puts a dampener on what was a beautiful gesture - a gift from a family member, spoiled by a series of kicks in the guts from Royal Mail.

I had a card saying I had an item with postage to pay. One of the options was to attach stamps to the value needed and the item would be delivered. So I attached stamps to the value and 3 days later I had the exact same card delivered I had put in the post box. I decided to call the number provided to ask for guidance. I am currently still on hold after 17 minutes. It is this kind of incompetence and uselessness that define this inept organisation

Thank you for losing my fathers death certificate it has caused no amount of upset and stress to my mother, and is now holding up the sale of her home. Well done! One of many things that disappear when entrusted to your care.

I now sell on Ebay and after a few hiccups with other delivery companies I now only us Royal Mail. I always use a signed for service. Royal Mail have for the most part been outstanding, just on a couple of occasions the parcels were a few days late arriving
