“Royal Mail have gone from the best to the worse in just a few years. There tracking numbers are useless. There website is terrible. Now you even have to click silly little pictures with traffic lights or bicycles to check tracking only to be told tracking is not available until AFTER they attempt delivery? Chocolate fireguard springs to mind.”
“Not fit for purpose. Tracking just shows delivered. So no one knows what address whats street what town or even what country. A french parcel showed delivered and when it was investigated it was in Las Vegas (Pathetic)
No cards are left. Parcels are scanned as delivered but have not even left the delivery office. Our collections take nearly 8 hours or even more to get to the sorting depot 50 miles up the road. Damaging our Amazon dispatch rates.
All you get when you call them is COVID 19 staff shortages and self isolating. Well its wearing a bit thin now. Seems like all the other companies are coping and offering the service they are charging for.
Tracking is meant to be just that tracking telling me where and when.
If they cannot cope they should halve their prices till they can or advise using other carriers until they can cope. Because if the covid is to blame then they are not going to be fit for purpose for years to come.
Maybe its because they pay their staff to be off unlike many delivery companies.

“I have been diligently waiting at home FOUR TIMES, only to find out in my email that they failed to deliver (not even a red card left). My apartment also has a concierge!!!!!!!!!! Why can't they knock on my door or leave my parcel with the concierge?????

“They suddenly decided they weren't going to deliver to me anymore. At first they said it was because I was more than fifteen minutes off they're usual route, which is rubbish. I can walk to the nearest house and back within ten minutes. Then they claimed my road was a health and safety issue! Everybody else delivers here, including the gas bottle man. Now if my road was dangerous I don't think he would be driving on it with a van full of gas bottles. The post gets within fifty metres of my house then gets taken back to the depot for me to collect. Thirty miles away! Surely when somebody pays to have something delivered to somebody they've entered into a contract. If the royal fail refuses to deliver it they have broken the contract and the person should get there money back. One star, I don't think you can leave none?”
“In last time only bad experience. package from EU takes up to 3 week in UK, or they are lost. I´ve already lost couple of money, because the package never reached the addressee. “Please do not trust the royal mail. They are providing a very poor service and constantly trying to cover this up. It’s appalling how much lost/stolen parcels don’t get delivered. Find an alternative for your own piece of mind.”
“Not an unusual story it seems. Tracked parcel will be delivered on Friday 2nd Oct. within a 3 hour slot. Great, I'll listen out for it. Heard nothing but suddenly find a card pushed through the door saying they have attempted delivery but we were out (No we werent). The card says to rearrange delivery as they dont want folk to go to the sorting office due to pandemic. The first date they gave for redelivery was Tuesday 6th so I go for that. Latest tracking info says it's been prepared for redelivery today(Tuesday). Its now 19.10 so i suppose I can safely say I wont be seeing it today. It means a trip down to sorting depot in the morning then, pandemic or not, in the hope it's there. What are the chances ? ( big sigh)”
“worse tracking system of all...said the item was being delivered between 8am and 12pm (a generous enough window)..its 3.15 pm, no sign of the item, no update, the tracking assistant just says what i already know and when I use the Track and Trace part of their website, it repeatedly throws up captcha things to click on endlessly

“Sent an item tracked and signed, but marked as undelivered, however, the recipient confirmed it arrived. Sent another parcel several days ago using 1st class tracked but not yet marked as delivered. Why am I paying extra for these services if they're not even bloody working. Tried contacting but there is a 60 min wait, that's almost half my monthly data. Pretty awful company.”

“Purchased a valuable product off a seller who posted the item on the Wednesday with first class signed for delivery. Thursday came and went with no parcel. Friday has now come and gone and still no parcel. No online help from customer service which is non existent. Over 1 hour wait time on the phone which you have to pay for! Absolutely horrendous and sill no response from RM. Will have to open a tedious claims with them if not sorted out which we all know takes weeks! Very out of date service which i wont be using again.”
