Truly awful service at the moment. They're blaming the "Covid 19" yet every other business, including the one where I work, seems to be operating normally. This is just an excuse for terrible service and mismanagement. Get a grip!

Should charge less for 2nd class signed due to parcels taking way longer then 3 working days, also unable to sign due to covid...pointless and not the service you pay for.

I am a online seller and have been using Royal for 7 months straight 6 days a week and in the last month I have lost around £400 because the parcels are not delivered to customers and for some of them it’s been nearly 14 days. What the hell am I doing with these guys and I’ve spent nearly £27,000 in the last 7 months. They have left me no Choice but to change my courier.

Still waiting on the phone to customer services after 35 minutes trying to trace a lost parcel. Royal Mail is the worst excuse of a delivery company. Tracking that doesn't work. Time slots and live updates not available. Blaming Covid and now Christmas....whatever next. Funny though all my other deliveries seem to get hear ok and on time.

The tracking system has no iso standard, it meets no system criteria items are lost with no one take responsibility. With all the composition these days they will not last long, this time with corona virus would be a good time to shine but all other delivery companies are meeting the delivery slot but RM never met them and so many item never delivered go missing, and cost so high. Soon to be no more service is discussing

I hate Royal Mail with an absolute passion. Everytime I know I am going to get a delivery by them I know it will be hassle. I am in yet they happen to miss me everytime. Every other company leaves my parcel in a safe place but they take it away again. If I wanted to go to the DO I would just go to a shop!!!

Let me start by saying majority of the time royal mail are fantastic, great guy's friendly chatty, but..... when you get a newbie things go wrong 🙃, unfortunately I've had post today that wasn't for me it was for TWO separate addresses alongside my own post so how did the postman get it wrong, that's 3 different names 3 different numbers 3 different addresses all to 1 House, I delivered the letter and parcel to the right addresses but obviously I'm concerned my own mail maybe in the hands of someone else, and this time of year I'm waiting for parcels and letter's, the new guy really needs to check the adress out.

Well had a text yesterday from Royal Mail stating a delivery would be made anytime up to 7:30pm, well waited in all day and nothing. Worse still, the tracking info from the link in the text suddenly disappeared.

I ordered an item which was posted on Friday 13th (!) in London - 1st class post, which should have arrived the next day. 4 days later and no sign of it. Yet an item I ordered yesterday, from the same area, was delivered by Hermes today! Royal Mail really is the worst service - also cannot get in touch with anyone to query what has happened. According to the 'Track and Trace' or what ever it's called, Royal Mail has 'got it' but can give no further info until the item is delivered. How does this appalling firm stay in business? And don't say you're sorry to hear I've had a bad experience - you're not sorry at all! Do something about it and deliver my purchase! And while you're at it, please teach your postmen and women to shut gates behind them!

In the last 5 years, I have used Royal Mail's track & trace service about about 10 times, and for 6 of those times, they have either lost my items or been unable to provide a proof of delivery. Once it was for a cheque for £4,500 which took me 2 months and a lot of hassle to get issued again! The latest was quite a large parcel, with contents to the value of £150; this parcel has been 'lost', although it shows as being sat in the Warrington depot for 11 days now. I have struggled to communicate with Royal Mail, despite many attempts, finally resorting to 'TWITTER', which has produced a response at least. I have made a claim for my lost parcel, but the insurance only covers me up to £100, so I am down £50 and up a lot of stress and hassle. I WILL NEVER USE ROYAL MAIL AGAIN!

Diabolical company. Was sent 2 glass tables within days that were smashed to pieces. I’ve paid extra to get early shipping and they’ve turned up weeks late. Half of my items haven’t even turned up! Asked postman to speak to someone higher and that’s not possible.

Ordered from Amazon who dispatched goods via royal mail and provided a tracking number. Entered the tracking number into the royal mail track and trace system only to be told "an update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item". So, pretty useless system that doesn't track the the goods. On the day Amazon said it would be delivered the RM track and trace system did update to say it would be delivered that day and that deliveries to my area are usually made by a certain time of day. Continually refreshed the status on the RM track and trace system about every half an hour. Eventually, the system said the parcel had been delivered 10 minutes earlier. Hmm, I hadn't had a knock on the door or anything posted through the letterbox. Parcel is nowhere to be seen and certainly wasn't delivered to my property. Unable to progress a complaint via RM website who state that if you are the recipient (not provider) of the parcel that you have to contact the seller. Contacted Amazon who were great and dispatched a replacement for one of the items in the parcel (via their own delivery) and a refund for the other item. Basically, RM track and trace a waste of time.
