Payed extra for "Express" shipping waited longer than the free shipping that comes with 90c items on Aliexpress. Refunded by Amazon so I could buy it from a service that uses a competent delivery service. I if I see any service using Royal Mail I am not buying from them even if the product is cheaper than anywhere else.”

“24 hour tracked parcel never arrived at destination even though tracking information said it had - strange thing about the tracking information though - it stated that it had been despatched by the sender on two different days and times and that was over a 48 hour period and said it left local delivery office at 07.20 am but that it was actually delivered to recipient's address 1 hour 18 minutes EARLIER at 06:02 the same day. It was sent by a reputable mail order company to a third party address on my behalf. Website link and telephone call to get this investigated was useless and actually going into a local post office branch was a complete waste of time. It cost me additional delivery charge to have a replacement sent by private courier which guarantees signed for delivery within a pre set 1 hour slot at 50% of Royal Mail costs
Somebody at Royal Mail is at worse lying or fasifying tracking information or at best is grossly incompetent.”
“with one order they delivered to a depot in a town that is not even remotely close to mine and labelled it as delivered on the tracking page. There was a scribble in the signature photo so clearly something dodgy has happened there. With another order today, 4 of us were at home and they left a card through the door without even knocking saying the parcel didn't fit in the letterbox - if it didnt why not just knock? Now I have to travel 30 minutes to the collection point to collect the order. Worst service ever, I try to avoid them as much as possible.”
“Endlessly sticking "sorry we missed you" cards through our door when there were five people in the house at the time, and they couldn't even be bothered to knock or ring the doorbell. Possibly the worst parcel delivery service in the UK. Hopefully will go bust soon.”
“Not so much a Royal Mail recorded delivery service, more a bad joke at the customers expense. Specifically the Royal Mail are taking the customers money and not providing the timely assurance paid for.
I sent a letter sent first class recorded delivery. Over a week later the Royal Mail site still says "we will update once delivery has been attempted". First class post recorded delivery service and over a week later the Royal Mail has not attempted delivery? I bet they do not put that in their service stats to the regulator.
Also, their statement is completely untrue. Delivery has been attempted and successfully made. I know that the cheque was delivered successfully, and obviously some days ago, as it has been banked and cashed. Not that the Royal Mail told me. Fortunately my bank is more efficient (and honest).”
“Inadequate delivery service. Item paid for to arrive from US before Xmas....ten pounds for delivery paid. When I chased this on 6 Jan I was told that a card had been sent out regarding item’s arrival at a collection depot on 30 Dec and customs payment was needed. No card had arrived. On 6 Jan told that another card would be with me two days after my complaint. Today 8 Jan still No card. Phoned again to enquire and ended up with a very rude colleague who was basically haranguing me about why I was complaining. She told me I could collect my parcel without a card......why couldn’t I have been told that two days earlier?
Rude customer service with the emphasis on me as the customer being stupid and wrong and unable to complain to anyone in authority as there seems to be nobody in authority. . Not appreciated AT ALL that I have had to pay ten pounds to go through this farce.”

Easier to send an email and any documents for free. Royal mail's parcel service is redicolous. I've had so many parcels go missing in a course of a year. Plus they broke my letterbox forcing unwanted junk mail through it. Use a courier service for your parcels. At least they got more chance of arriving.”

“Usual, pretending they knocked when I was in and left a red card. Now I have to travel miles to collect because they were too lazy to deliver. Very dishonest company and should not be allowed to use "Royal" in the name.”
“They are impossible to contact, they have NO customer service, it's dreadful, next day delivery is never next day, things always get lost and go missing. Ridiculous and never would voluntarily use this service, businesses, start switching to hermes! they have much better customer service and a better service”
“I was waiting for my delivery it was meant to be delivered on the 9th of December but it wasn’t delivered so I contacted the seller who told me the delivery might take a bit longer, I waited until the 29th of December then I called Royal Mail and what a shock! The woman was very rude telling me that the item was delivered somewhere else and also saying “the postcode is wrong” when I made it clear to her that I received more than one item under the same address, guess she wasn’t ready for that so she cut the line while am talking!
Today is the 5th of January and my item is still not here!

“Promised delivery 8.20 - 10.20 waited in all day, no parcel. Tracking 'service' is abysmal. They only care about business customers and the so called assistance takes you round in a continuous loop. Dreadful don't use”
“I was told by Royal Mail by text and email that my parcel would be delivered between 8.01 and 11.01 so I waited in until 12.15 but that was a waste of time just like being told when it 'would arrive'! It didn't require a signature and could have easily been left with a neighbour but NO. Over 3 hours later I'm advised they tried to deliver it but I was out. Subsequent attempts to contact them fail because it's the weekend. They are ABSOLUTE RUBBISH”
“Multiple times Royal Mail just slips a "Sorry we missed you" red card in your door instead of actually knocking to deliver your parcel. This has happened many times and last time I actually sat on the other side of the door to see if they'd knock.
They're getting lazy, absolute RUBBISH”
