“Item not delivered despite text messages from Royal Mail
Had an item sent by 48 hours delivery from a company via Royal Mail on 29th December. Received a text message to to expect delivery on 31st December from Royal Mail themselves. After finishing my 12 hour night shift I waited all day until starting my next 12 hour shift. Nothing delivered. I was exhausted having no sleep. Friday 3rd January. I finished my 12 night shift and Received another text message from Royal Mail saying our local Burton-on-Trent depot had received the item and it will be delivered today. This time with a timeslot of 10.23 to 14.23. Again stayed awake for fear of missing the delivery and back to work tonight.Now 14.30 on 3rd and no delivery. Sent on 29th on 48hour delivery and nothing delivered. Why send the two messages and then not fulfill the promises? Never have a problem with other couriers. Evri, DHL and Amazon's own network always arrive with in their alloted delivery times. Royal Mail just false promises. It's 5 degrees with no snow or ice around Burton, so no excuse for being unable to deliver as promised.”

Royalail give a disgrace 12hr delivery window then state attempted delivery when owner was in the property the whole time. No card left to advise delivery even attempted. Walsall D O should be investigated”

Cancelled appointments for a 3 hour RM window. Last 5 mind got an update that parcel will be delivered in next 6 hours!!

“Was told they tried to deliver twice on the 21/12 on the 23/12, both time I was home, checked my Ringo as well just in case and of course no one showed up and no missed you letter left. Then they delivered to me an empty box on the 24/12 after I clearly told them and they confirmed that they will deliver to local Post Office. Thieves ( disgusting )”
“Stated on my order to deliver to my safe space which is my porch and is always open. Instead Royal Mail delivered it to a random blue bin somewhere on my estate so thanks to Royal Mail my daughter has no trainers for Christmas but someone else does. This is an official complaint. I am appalled at how chronic this service is. Tracking number TQ591862576GB I want refund and compensation for the stress and an expanation as to why the delivery driver cant read? Or spell? Whats a blur bin. Absolute joke. Well done Royal Mail. You are the worst. Worse than Evri and that's saying something.”

“Stolen parcel! Expected my parcel 2 weeks ago! Stated they delivered but they did not! I worked from home and have a ring door bell! Prompted on app to request redelivery, opted for my local Post Office as surely someone would be there. Was suppose to arrive last Thursday but did not. Called customer services who advised it was selected for delivery so should have been delivered! Went back to Post Office who said from experience when this happens it’s “got lost in the van”… Now how do you loose a parcel in the van. Hmm just say it’s been stolen. Had all my kids Christmas presents in that order and now not much time left to find substitutes 😭”
“Ebay item sent 24hr tracked. Received text 19.35 day before (Thursday) stating parcel due Fri 20 Dec 2024 between 10.45am-2.45pm. Tracking details morning after stated - arrived in MCR at 6.54am, dispatched to local depot (Oldham), due 10.45 - 14.45.
Waited in all day to receive delivery. Received another text at 14.43 stating parcel due today by 7.30pm!!!!!!!!!! Royal Mail don't deserve to be in business.....they've had enough time (YEARS!) and money, to develop tracking systems to compete with rival parcel companies like DPD/Amazon/Evri, who can pretty much pinpoint delivery windows and keep recipients adequately informed without any extra cost to customers. Third time this has happened in 12 months. Even worse when last delivery (like this one) is arranged for weekend and you have to wait till Monday (when you're back at work) - after organising deliveries the week before, for when you're going to be in!!!!*&^%^$£$@/!!!!!”
