“Royal mail don't bother to collect if they has nothing to deliver to you. Many times happened they didn't come to collect and sent emails with "We was unable to collect". Useless service. Better go in person at post office or use other courier”
“Our post delivery doorstep people are lovely. However the Post Office postage system is a shambles. Why try to communicate with customers and say something will be delivered tomorrow and on the day say it is going to be delivered. Then later send a message to say, sorry no delivery today. Promises, promises, doesn’t make a good business model. You are certainly no competition for other parcel delivery companies. A one off sorry is fine but when it is every other parcel something is wrong. Very disappointed I didn’t get my parcel.”
“Our delivery person is 5 star. He is pleasant and reliable. It is unfortunate that the Royal mail system isn't as efficient. The tracking and information systems are no better than a start up company with no budget to provide customer with a good tracking system.”
“The service is going from bad to worse poorly trained staff no customer service at all emails not answered for days and then a total rubbish answer and they wounder why people are starting to use other courier companies
Sending a parcel in the post office is so much more expensive than buying online and dropping it of delivery drivers to keen to put the not in card through the letter box when disabled and cannot get to the door quickly even shouting that I'm coming to the door only to see the red card drop and the van disappeared electric vans now so you don't even here them sneaking up the yard anymore”
“What's the point in providing a tracking number when it never gives any update on delivery even when delivered it still says out in transit! Useless service and to think how the royal mail whinge and whine about other parcel company's. But they seem to have nailed it! Why the hell can't the company who started the whole thing in the first place?”
“The most horrendous delivery company I have ever had to deal with. I paid for the highest possible fee to their associate Parcel Force to have an item collected from my house, a postman shows up asking to collect it and then tells me that he will not do it because he needs a van. I took the item myself to the post office and when I sent the complaint to both companies they kept passing the buck to each other. None of the companies takes responsibility for mixing up the delivery. Royal Mail gave me a tracking reference for a delivery to a complete stranger, lost track of the actual item I had posted and top of everything when I subsequently called their customer service to ask what they had done with the item the woman who answered the phone had the audacity to say that it was my fault since I chose to leave the item with a complete stranger! Since when did one of their Postal branches became "a complete stranger" I don't know. Since I now have to escalate the complaint I would strongly suggest anyone considering using their services to avoid the headache (and money loss) by finding a different carrier.
I cannot believe that Ofcom does not keep a tighter rope on this company and its affiliates because it is just unacceptable that they are allowed to lure unsuspecting victims this way.”
“Disgusting service... Royal mail you should be ashamed!!
You've cost me £650 by not delivering on time.
I used a before 1pm guaranteed service on 22nd of June I'm still waiting on the 24th... I'm looking for an alternative company now, even if it may cost me a bit more.
Terrible service, I'm surprised the Royals are still happy to be associated!!!!”
“Tried to tell RM where to leave package if not in, via leave in a safe place option.filled in info, email came back.if not in will deliver
Tomorrow.
Not what i requested.”
“Royal Mail tracking is utterly useless. The only informaion I get is that a tracking number has been provided. After that, nothing is updated until well after my item has been delivered. This happens every time I purchase something on the internet. When I try to explain this to RM they ask for the tracking number of the item I'm enquiring about, even though I've repeatedly told them this happens with every item I order. Every other delivery company keeps their tracking up-to-date exeept RM. Useless.”
“Quicker to get deliveries by a pigeon with one wing
can they employ pigeons? I mean it would be quicker, if you pay for a service time after time to not get the service you pay for? Do not know a company with a worse track record for failure? royal failure should be the new name, yet again pay for the same day service, we tried to deliver? they employ ghosts now, no one on the CCTV? must have been Casper, shambles of a company one I always try to avoid for sure, total rubbish,”
“I paid £8 for next day guaranteed 1 oclock delivery but the item did not arrive at the destination for 4 days it is a disgrace call yourself royal mail should be called don't know what you're doing meal”
“It is pointless to track your package the royal mail I have entered the tracking 05097A8F845 the no I was given by the seller and according to the royal mail the tracking number doesn't exist so the service is pathetic”
“Appalling service, special delivery guaranteed before 1pm is as reliable as a spring weather forecast.
Took morning off work to receive a valuable item before 1pm. No updates on what the issue was nor any updates so far as to when it will be delivered next. Utter complacency are the only words to describe this shabby delivery service.
Avoid at all cost!”
“So now they have started taking photos as a proof upon delivering parcels, capturing my legs/feet and a bit of inside of hall. Just like the other couriers do.
When I complained to customer services I got a very silly response -saying that they would never capture door number or face. So taking pictures of my legs/feet and a bit of inside of hallway without my permission is alright then? I AM LIVID!
I think my days of online shopping are done now! It's time to return to physical stores once again!”
“Around 70% of international parcels i post with Royal Mail usually get sent back tofor no apparent reason. Forms are 100% filled out with the correct information also provided. Also impossible to contact the international customer service team. Only method is via email and response is very slow. Half of the times you dont get a response. Other half usually the response is not helpful and then when you reply you have to wait another 2 weeks to get a response. Things as simple as the whereabouts of the parcel due to a major delay in the customer receiving , why parcel has been returned, how comes tracking not showing movement for a month, why cant the international posted parcel be tracked when it arrives abroad etc. Aloy of returned parcels seem to be with a partner company of Royal Mail called Anpost . This Anpost company are useless especially posting to Ireland they return every single parcel for no apparent reason. They apply a sticker and dont even tick the reason for return and thats because no reason exist but simple just wanting to return all parcels to the UK. Royal mail needs to Provide a online chat so customers can speak directly to the international customer service team regarding issues also . A response 3 weeks later is no good when the customer parcel is lost and they have been waiting weeks past the delivery date already. Also contacting Royal mail customer service by phone you always get this vibe that the customer agent doesn't want to help and cant be bothered. Also many questions they can never answer and you are just told to fill out a form online for everything. Too many issues to mention just improve everything........”
“This is not a delivery service, this is utter s**te very slow and inconsiderate to top it up + staff are not helpful at all, and after 3 days of ups and downs I've basically cancelled the order and asked for a refund, and that's maybe the only thing that they good at, paying refunds back. The stress and complexity of things that these guys involve into their deliveries it's mind-blowing STUPID. You wouldn't think that at this day in age, anyhow, hand on heart, every single time I've used royal mail there was a problem of some sort along the line.
I really mean this : NEVER in my life I'll use their services again !”
