Considering it's a postal company What a useless company it is! waiting for a package for almost two weeks now after being dispatched tried contacting royal mail customer service to get told this service isn't available and know way of leaving a message. Definitely will be using a more reliable provider next time .

Really disappointing and bad service, my international tracked and signed shipment from UK should receive Dubai in 10-14 maximum days as per the order and after 1month still it shows status as item will be now leaving UK and tracking link is even error. I suggest you never to use royal mail service for important documents. Even they dont provide proper section for writing personnel complaint in their website.

I live in London and often make purchases on Ebay. A small package posted in London on 20th November still has not arrived. - now 8th December. Another posted in Watford on 23rd Nov with a tracking number also has not arrived. When I tried the online tracking I got a message saying "Tracking information is not available for this service"!! I've spoken to our over-worked friendly postman - he's struggling under poor management too - and it appears that there is a 7 or 8 foot pile of mail in the sorting office being ignored!!! That is not what we have paid for, Royal Mail. I heard today of a friend of a friend asking his local postie where his birthday cards were. The response was to the effect that 'We are only doing parcels today'. I believe the cards arrived a week late. This is not the service people are paying for.

Sent urgent cheque to complete mortgage by First Class post recorded delivery last Friday for next day delivery. Now its late Tuesday and not delivered. Never again with this totally useless business who take your money for a service that clearly doesn't exist. No one answers the phone, just automated menus then cut off.

I sent parcel to Dubai via international track and trace 9.11.2020. Last tracking info on 11.11.2020 states package leaving Langley UK. Parcel still not reached destination and no further tracking updates provided. After numerous attempts to contact Royal Mail by phone and online eventually received reply to my email which stated they did not know why tracking was not updating!!! (Really useful information!!). Email also advised I could submit complaint/claim after 14th December as this is date Parcel would officially be classed as missing?!? Thanks for nothing Royal Mail.

I had a medical test that needed to be done at midnight, at home, then posted to the lab the next day. It needed to arrive the day after, or it wouldn't be worth analysing. The first test kit sent to me from my hospital consultant, via the Royal Mail 24-hour service, never arrived. The second turned up three days late, despite the Royal Mail app telling me it was arriving on the prior two days. I did the test, I paid for 24 hour track/trace/signed delivery (using my own contact details for the tracking), posted it the next morning..... then nothing. Nothing on the app, other than a timestamp from a couple of hours later when I assume they emptied the postbox. For the following 28 hours their tracking system said they were still waiting for it from the sender (me). Eventually, at the end of the day that it was supposed to arrive at the destination, I got a text from RM saying they'd just received it from the sender. I suppose they thought the person tracking it was the recipient, who would know no better and think that the sender hadn't posted it. Royal Mail now say they "aim" to deliver it tomorrow. But tomorrow is too late, it HAD to be there today. Needless to say I had no help from RM when I phoned them or tried to get a reply on their Twitter help feed. I'm now faced with going through the whole palaver again, asking my consultant to send me another kit, waiting for however many days to see if it turns up, and then trying to send the sample to the lab which sadly is nowhere near where I live. I waited in for three days recently for an Amazon item. It seems they now use Royal Mail for some of their own deliveries. I was told I had to show proof of age otherwise it couldn't be handed over. I went through the same dance as I did with the medical test; Amazon told me it was due to arrive that day, RM gave me a timeslot, I waited until 9pm, nothing happened. The same the next day. The following day, Sunday, no notification from RM or Amazon, and I had a rude early morning awakening. This company must surely be in meltdown. They haven't got a clue.

What I don’t understand is how Royal mail can charge for a service they are not providing?? I ha e one item go missing and y supplier has had to send another parcel out, I should have received my original parcel 3rd December to my local Argos, surely if they are over a certain timeframe late then Athena customer should get a refund, tracking is absolutely useless, how can a company this large be so bad?

The track and trace system is rubbish. The On line system says it will tell me if a delivery has been attempted not where it is or when I will get it. Have nearly smashed my phone in frustration when using the 0345 number. You cannot speak to a real person and the automated service is not for one with high blood pressure or a short temper. Dire.

I wish i could rate 0 stars. My reason for this is that for the last 7 years we had an amazing post woman, she was called Zuzanna, she was always drunk as a skunk but the mail arrived without fail. Then some jobs worth got her sacked, since then we have had a sting of temporary post people. Out mail takes upwards of 10 days to arrive. I order a lot from e-bay and if I order packages consecutively for ten days, nothing will arrive until day 10 then 9 will turn up at once. We have had so many packages go missing I now ask the sellers to change the carrier and pay extra just to get things reliably. The other thing that grinds my gears is that our post can arrive anytime from 6am to 5pm. Lets not even get started on the "tracking numbers" that do not allow you to track the mail, I mean what is that all about? We live in a modern machine connected age it seriously can't be that difficult? Especially when other carriers have really great tracking by default. I get the impression that they are just the carrier by default still riding on the coat tails of their former glory when it was a real service. We use to get two posts a day now we barely get one. It's a total joke. Either they need to up their performance or we should all start using other services. I already have, when I have something to post Royal Mail is not my default.

This company really grinds my gears. They are inefficient, unprofessional, and seem to be riding a wave of their performance from the dim and distant past when they actually delivered on a Sunday, and did 2 deliveries a day!! It appears that Royal Mail (as a company) can do no wrong and have received a very undeserved hero status because of this bloody pandemic. In saying that the people on the ground that deliver the post do deserve some credit and aren't responsible for the lateness of the post, they are being led by bad management. I don't believe MANAGEMENT/CEO's have stepped up to the demand and looked at their processes and improved them at all!! I know for a fact they have employed a fresh batch of sorting minions for the Christmas rush (and make you go through millions of hoops before you can even get through the front door, and then give you the arse for no good reason after you have toiled away for a week when promised a 2 month assignment.......) I suggest we take a look at how we get our mail delivered, as there are many up and coming (and pre existing) companies that have looked at their processes and meet the current demand which is going to increase going forward.

Track and trace is a absolute joke, if you not going to operate it correctly then simply remove it. Overpriced service for total incompetence.

2 parcels posted at the same time at the same post office to the same address over a week ago. One standard 2nd class the other signed for 2nd class. Only one parcel has arrived!!! And its still the signed for parcel which is delayed./lost/stolen......who knows!!!! Telephone customer helpline is dreadful and tells you no more than Google!!!!! Really unhappy with the service right now & looks very likely that my daughter will be without any of her Christmas gifts this year.
