ZERO stars is what I really rate this company. I bought an RTIC cooler because I thought I was buying something durable, rugged, and built to last. Instead, after two uses, I’m left with a broken cooler, a denied warranty claim, and worthy warning for anyone considering spending their money with this company. After doing a good amount of research, I purchased an RTIC hard ultra-light cooler in October 2025. I chose it because RTIC markets its coolers as tough, durable products built for real outdoor use. It wasn’t inexpensive, but I figured I was investing in something I wouldn’t have to replace for a long time. This cooler was used twice. The other day, while empty, it fell from an 18-inch porch and the hinge broke, making the cooler essentially unusable. I reached out to RTIC to have it covered under warranty, only to be told it was not covered because they consider it “wear and tear.” An empty cooler falling 18 inches should not destroy the hinge on a product marketed as rugged and long-lasting. I’ve owned less expensive coolers that have lasted for years and have survived far more, including falling from a tailgate while full of ice and drinks. If RTIC does not consider this type of failure a manufacturing defect, I would genuinely like to know what they actually consider defective manufacturing, especially when the failure happened after only two uses. I am extremely disappointed in both the product and the company’s response. I paid over $200 for this cooler because I believed RTIC was a reputable brand that stood behind its products. Based on this experience, I was wrong. Do NOT purchase from RTIC if you’re looking for a cooler that is actually built to last.

Buy personalized 1 half gallon bottle and the lid broke. Thats not the problem. The problem is not being able to order a new lid. Its been over a year. Do not recommend.

Have the roadtrip 16qt and the locking mechanism/latch broke out of it completely. Submitted a request/warranty claim with photos and no response. I’ll definitely spend the extra 100 on a yeti this next go around.

I've had a cooler for quite some time now; however, I have realistically used this cooler no more than 15 times. 15 times is probably too much. The zipper broke. I have lubricated this cooler few times and it never really worked. Zipper broke and now it's basically useless. RTIC does not stand by their product. They basically could care less that I spent a good chunk of money for a piece of junk. Never again.

This company WILL NOT stand behind their products. After one year of use the zipper broke on a soft cooker. Called RTIC and was immediately denied any repair or replacement. I wouldn't spend one dollar on ANY RTIC products for the rest of my life. You shouldn't either unless you want to get screwed.

I received a quote from RTIC for customized coolers for an association (10 coolers). The quote included shipping and taxes ($0 for both). I accepted the quote and worked on the logo. Once I accepted the proof, I paid. After clicking Pay, RTIC added $426 of shipping charges, hence not honoring the quote. It is bad business, potentially illegal, but they did not want to honor the quote. I had to cancel the order as $426 of shipping was not in the budget.

Zipper broke on their 15 can cooler after 20 months of light use. RTIC would not repair or replace under any kind of coverage or decent customer service. Said they only have a 90 day warranty. Offered 20% off another one. This isn’t a disposable cooler. It should last more than 90 days or 20 months. We had been loyal customers, purchasing mugs, cups, and thermoses over the years. Had problems with some of them but they had covered it usually. Cooler is now unusable. No respect for our long term loyal service. We are now done with RTIC and will not make any further purchases there. They were perfectly fine to lose us over one defective bag and poor customer service.

I paid about $35 for a can cooler that worked once or twice. The lid does not lock onto the cooler making it completely worthless. The fix is easy and cheap. Send me a replacement plastic ring that fits inside the top of the cooler. The response I got from RTIC. Sorry. Your warranty is up. Hope this isn’t an inconvenience. LOL It’s way more than an inconvenience. It’s a ripoff.

When they changed the design of the tumblers, they failed at nearly every turn. The cap is bulkier and has a cheap looking colored flip top on it that makes the entire cup look cheap. The new ceramic interior tumblers don’t fit the existing handles, so now all of our handles we already set have are useless (a slight change that clearly was meant to force customers to buy more of them. Decent cooling - my ice stays somewhat solid for about 5 hours but definitely not as long as they used to.

Their customer service is horrible. Their online system reverted my delivery to an old address even though I had entered the correct delivery address. Now their customer service -- automated -- won't even call FedEx to correct the delivery address. I had to ask for the tracking information in order to find out the packages are on the delivery truck. FedEx offers assistance but only if the shipper calls. Then FedEx is another hot mess, they won't even let me speak to a live person.

Backpack cooler only warrantied for 1 year. Known defect in zipper pull. Company sells replacement for $15 shipped. They expect you to pay for the same low quality replacement part after a year. Would cost the company probably $4 or so to retain customer confidence. Customer service representative very unpersonable. Spend the extra money on a better product and company that will stand behind thier product.

I've bought several tumblers and did the refer a friend to my sister. She couldn't get an order right so we used my phone. I'm blocked as fraudulent and didn't get my $20 for referring. The sorry customer service doesn't care. We've done several purchases. I doubt Yeti does that

The Zipper has always been hard to use.. We have had our Arctic Soft side 2 years. Have not used that much , Zipper has popped lose.. Atric says Sorry you will have to just replace the cooler. For an $80 cooler ... O would expect it to work better and not break. I should have returned it when we first got it.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with a recent customer service experience regarding my 30‑Can Ultra Tough Soft Cooler, purchased in 2020. For several years, this cooler has been my go-to choice, outperforming other brands in keeping contents cold and holding up well under regular use. That’s why, when the zipper recently failed, I was hopeful the repair could be covered under warranty. I was surprised to learn that my cooler no longer qualifies, but I was even more dismayed by the response I received. The representative told me there was nothing he could do and suggested I throw away the cooler and buy a new one. This solution feels wasteful and dismissive, especially since the cooler is otherwise in excellent condition. As a loyal customer, I expected a more empathetic and solution-oriented approach. I understand that warranties have limits. It’s disheartening to feel that a brand I’ve trusted for years doesn’t stand behind its products in situations like this. I chose RTIC for its reputation, but after this experience, I would like to know if I should have invested in a cooler with better long-term support, like Yeti.

Buyer beware. I purchased 2 20 can soft pack coolers for holiday gifts in September of 2023. They were not given to the recipients until December of that year. The zipper on one of them is alread broken and will not work at all rendering the cooler completely unuseable. The zipper on second one is barely functional requiring 2 hands to operate. Reached out to support and the only response was sorry charlie - warranty is only 1 year - which I new when I contacted support. Poor quality coolers. Buyer beware. Neither cooler lasted more than 14-16 months.

I ordered a customized 16oz colster with my name on it. RTIC's website showed now writing on the opposites side of the raised logo. I had my name printed there. When the bolster arrived it was not as advertised on their website. RTIC would not replace the bolster or send me another as they initially said. They refunded my $5 customization fee but would not correct the issue created by their own website. This is the last product of RTIC I will ever buy from this company. They have cheap prices which is great but terrible customer service. Really disappointed in this company.

Loved my coffee mug but the swivel flip up broke. My issue is this: I contacted Rtic a couple of years ago they said they were out and hoped to have replacement soon. I have since checked back several times- same answer. Discouraging to keep heating the same thing even now. Going 3 years for replacement? Seemed like the answer was standard protocol without merit. Frustrating
