“It seems Sainsbury's find it acceptable to deliver fresh chickens which need to be used within one or two days of purchase. I have called customer services each time this has happened and they have glady issued a voucher for the full cost of purchase (now 3 times!). I was also told that Sainsburys policy is to send out fresh produce regardless of the next day use by date if that's all that is left on the shelf. However what I would like is a 'fresh' chicken with a a use buy date of at least 5 days. Tesco manage to do this and won't deliver the item unless they can guarantee freshness. It's about time sainsburys adopted the same policy. I now buy frozen meat from sainsburys instead - come on, get your act together!!!”
