“Had brilliant customer service. I also saw that they had members of staff that could speak different languages for customers that could not speak English which is brilliant!!!”
“I bought a pack of Taste the Difference Rich and Creamy Prawn and Lobster Mac and Cheese. At £6 for one serving it was quite expensive. I found 6 small prawns, and the amount of lobster it contained was no more than a square inch in total. It was very bad value for money.”
“I bought a pack of six taste the difference the meaty one pork sausages. I oven cooked them , I got out half way through and they were swimming in water, took 5 sheets of kitchen roll to mop up. They looked pallid and grey, my son said they were nasty and only ate two, was planning to use rest for his sandwiches the next day, but I threw them away as quite honestly inedible. I only purchased them as you had sold out of porky whites. Will not be buying again, sorry.”
“I bought a packet of Sainsbury's Extra Lean Diced Beef 600g priced at £4.65.
No doubt their packaging is within the law but I find it very misleading. I was not buying 600grams of meat, the actual meat weight was only 530grams therefore the price I paid for meat was £8.15 per kilogram rather than the stated unit price of £7.75 per kilogram. I will in future buy my diced beef from my local butcher as you get the weight of meat you ask for.
Putting it another way, when you buy this Sainsbury product you are paying £0.54p for the packaging.”
“I shop weekly at Sainsbury’s store in Street, Somerset where the staff are always helpful but this week they went the extra mile which prompted me to write this review. There were no Linda McCartney burgers and I complained as this was the second week the shelf was empty. The store manager, Paul, attempted to locate them in the freezer storeroom but couldn’t so he promised to ring me when these were in. That evening I got a call to say the burgers were in store and they would be delivered to me at home - all free of charge! Can’t beat that for excellent customer service!”
“My shopping experience at Sainsbury’s Wolverhampton last week was very disappointing. My husband and I decided to have our lunch in store before doing our weekly shop. Big mistake, we waited 25 minutes just to give our order, another 10 minutes to get coffees and another 10/15 minutes for our food, which was reasonable apart from the coloured water called gravy.
Then we did our shopping where basics such as a chicken was only available with the next days date, quiche Lorraine the same days date, and several empty shelves including the frozen section.
This was Friday afternoon a popular time for doing the weekly shop, we don’t know what has happened to our favourite supermarket which over the past few months has deteriorated. It may be they are short staffed I don’t know but we may have to go elsewhere if things don’t improve soon”
“Was most disappointed with the service I received in hedge end store. Bearing in mind I have difficulty walking I asked a lady in the xmas isle for hot water bottles ..... thought it might help my back. She said go to pharmacy ... went there she directed me back tothe xmas isle. I found one there and then went to customer services to order more she sent me to another desk ... 10 minutes later a customer assistant appeared and said I couldn’t order them!!! Came home went on Amazon and 4 hot water bottles have just been delivered ..... ...”
“Yesterday 06/11/18 I purchased my weekly groceries at Sainsbury’s Sprucefield shopping centre, part of my purchase were 2 lots of pink lady apples dated 13/11/18. Unfortunately not one of the 12 apples were in good condition with all of them badly bruised leaving me very disappointed in the quality of my purchase”
“Went shopping at Sainsbury's Maypole Sunday for Christmas cards wrapping gift tags etc plus pint bottle of rum and a few small gifts, we went through a maned checkout who was under pressure from queues and paid the £107 bill saying to partner that was a lot. Today checking receipt there was an item ' TF Ultra asst' at £21 ' not having purchased anything dearer than the gift bottle of rum I went online Sainsbury's to find the code, 45 minutes of searching and on line chat followed by phoning I returned to the shop. Customer services could not find an item for sale with the code on the receipt and suggesting the it could possibly be a SIM card or memory card and saying sorry I can't help you any more as you should of told the cashier at the time. So buyer be ware, always check your receipt while in store Every time. They won't even find the code from the programmer, I'll put this down to experience then.”
“I ordered online and they then turned up without standard vegetables like onions and courgettes due to them being 'out of stock'. I live in central London... never had a problem like this with Ocado. Will not be using Sainsbury's delivery again.”
“Well done Sainsbury on having a whole range of products with NO PALM OIL.
Saving the orangutan is something I strongly believe in and have for the past 6 years not bought any products with PALM OIL in them. So now even the sweet mince meat is palm oil free. You should make this public and put no palm oil on your labels. As there are many people like me that what to save the forests .

“Cannot understand the negative comments about sainsbury's online or store experiences. I have done both staff friendly and polite. Maybe treat people as you would expect to be treated.”
“Having just been in hospital I thought I would place an online order, as I have done before. I was locked out of my account, as I have limited vision I phoned and after about 20 minutes spoke to someone who gave me a new pin. he said I could answer audio questions as I am unable to see the pictures very well. My hearing is perfectly normal but I listened to the audio repeatedly but still couldn't understand the muffled sound. I then tried to contact help again , after 40+ minutes my phone battery ran out of charge. Still have no food ! Thanks for making life even more difficult.”
