SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. SAMi will not only reliably alert you to abnormal movement, but automatically records high quality video and audio of the event, providing invaluable video evidence for Neurologists, Epileptologists, and other Healthcare providers to accurately diagnose and prescribe effective treatment plans. “I am 37 years old, living alone with epilepsy. My doctors have advised against living alone, but I don’t want roommates, so I wanted an innovative way to stay safe with my nocturnal seizures. I came across SAMi after a Google search. From the beginning, I received world-class and caring customer service. It is clear that this company is mission-driven. The kit has everything I need and works flawlessly for me. It’s sensitive enough to small repetitive movements that it will sound the alarm after my chosen time of 22 seconds, but it’s not so sensitive that it goes off at every movement. They thought of everything, such as being able to adjust timing and level of sensitivity. It’s obvious that this was developed by people who have experience with someone with epilepsy. The kit was easy to set up, and I’m not technologically inclined. I’m so happy with my purchase and grateful for this technology and the support of the leadership at the company. I’m also very grateful for the Danny Did Foundation who helped make this possible for me.”

“Our epilepsy team doctors at NYU Langone Epilepsy Center in New York City recommended the SAMi sleep monitor for our 7-year old son who has epilepsy and I can't say enough good things about it! It was easy to set up, the app is reliable, the videos are super sharp and can be sent to the doctor for review. We also love the remote monitoring feature, which means that we can see our son if we're outside our house (at dinner for instance) and our son is at home with the babysitter. Instead of having her tell us if our son is having a seizure in his sleep, we will get alerted right away, even though we're not at home and can act accordingly. We tried several seizure monitoring devices before getting the SAMi and none of them play in the same league. Also - the customer service and support team are super responsive and professional. This gadget is a must have for any family caring for a loved one with epilepsy and it's the first device that has allowed us to have a good nights' sleep --- all you epilepsy moms and dads get what I mean here 8)) I would give it six stars if I could - it's outstanding!!!”

“Even though we have an ipad already, I used my HSA to buy the whole kit and I don't regret that. I just wanted something easy for peace of mind. Set up took less than 10 minutes right out of the box. My son had a sudden tonic clonic seizure during which he went into respiratory failure and I have been terrified to sleep since. This device is brilliant and the only reason I have been able to get some rest, knowing I will be alerted and can get to him quickly should it happen again in the future. It doesn't take long at all to learn and work on tweaking the settings for what you need- and right now I don't mind being woken up just from his normal tossing and turning vs potentially sleeping through an event. The auto record feauture, the ease in turning on and off the alarm, the different volumes and types of alarm sounds, and the ability to turn the screen to dim sets this monitor apart from anything else. It really is a genius creation and I am so grateful to have it. Thank you for making this, not just for your own child but so all of us parents could do the best we can for our kids.”

“Just received and set up our Sami Kit. If you are on the fence about this - don't be! Just buy it. I haven't slept in a year and can finally look forward to a little bit of relief. The picture is so clear it's amazing! The set up was nothing. It took about 10 minutes. My mom got this for us and she said the customer service while deciding to purchase was patient, kind, available and wonderful. I'm close to tears writing this. If someone you love is having nocturnal seizures you need this.”

“This is the best camera for seizures on the market. This company thinks of everything in their package. Even strips for hiding the cord. Just such a well-designed and thought-out device. After one week I got the camera set perfectly with very few false alarms. This momma can finally sleep in her room again!!!”

“We are having a hard time using the router since we already have one in our home. Using a second router is affecting our Wi-Fi and security cameras. We will have to trouble shoot to see how we can make it work. Otherwise, I loved the clarity of the camera and the alarm system.”

“We have found the SAMi to be high quality, easy to set-up and the pre-installed app if very logical and easy to navigate. The picture is excellent day and night! We have quickly gained added peace of mind from having SAMi keep an eye on our daughter at night. The only small negative is the range for the wireless signal but that's more on us than the device. Overall, very pleased and grateful to have this wonderful tool!”

“SAMi has saved our daughter's life on multiple occasions by alerting us of nocturnal seizures. I can't imagine a night without it. Our daughter was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome at 4 months old. She is now almost 4 years old. SAMi was one of our first purchases after receiving her diagnosis. I highly recommend this product to any parent. Thank you to the SAMi team for everything!”
