SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. SAMi will not only reliably alert you to abnormal movement, but automatically records high quality video and audio of the event, providing invaluable video evidence for Neurologists, Epileptologists, and other Healthcare providers to accurately diagnose and prescribe effective treatment plans. “We have only had our SAMi for a little over a week but it is a game changer. My 3 year old son has focal seizures in his sleep with very minimal movement. The alarm is very customizable and the picture is excellent. SAMi picks up even the smallest movements and records so we can ensure seizures aren’t being missed. I got the first full night of sleep in my own bed in over 4 months thanks to our new SAMi camera!”

“I’m still amazed at the technology that is allowing the SAMi monitor to do what it does. It captures crystal clear videos when she is moving and stops recording when she stops moving. I’m still trying to figure out the alarm because it’s going off when there’s no seizure activity. Everyone (tech support personnel and fellow users) is helpful so I’m confident we’ll get it worked out. Witnessing a nighttime seizure was scary. I hadn’t previously known she’d had any. The SAMi is allowing me the comfort of knowing about the next one.”

“We are very thankful and grateful to have this system. It has allowed us to move our tween daughter back into her bedroom and still monitor her safely. The camera is very clear and picks up all motion in great detail (red outlines are a great feature) which is good becuase her seizures were often more subtle than most. As a software developer myself, I really appreciate the iPad mobile app's design and functionality. It is a great example of a purpose-built application for piece of hardware. Everything is laid out in a logical manner from a monitoring perspective as well as when reviewing and managing the recordings. There are a ton of configuration options as well so you can fine-tune the sensitivity of recordings, schedules, camera settings, etc. This was really well executed and has been an important part of us returning to normalcy.”

“We ordered this for our daughter,who has very long seizures and almost always needs rescue meds to stop them, when her old monitor failed to alert to a nighttime seizures. The first night we set it up , the sami alerted to a seizure and enabled us to get to her so fast that we able to stop her seizure quickly with a vns magnet rather than rescue meds. The peace of mind to still be able to sleep knowing that we will be truly alerted if a seizure happens is truly amazing.”

“My camera was working great and then all of a sudden stopped. So I contacted SAMi and I just need to RAVE about how great Matt’s customer service was! He took a late night phone call to try and sort it out but after we couldn’t get it going, he sent me a new one right away and has just been so much help! I love the SAMi monitor and the peace it gives me at night! I highly recommend this system and cannot explain to you how great the customer service is!”

“There are no words for the peace of mind this system has provided. Before SAMI the anxiety I felt prevented me from getting sleep. I was so worried my daughter would have a seizure and something bad would happen and I wouldn't know. Now I know that SAMI will wake me. And being able to see her and hear her when I'm another room is PRICELESS”

“I bought the entire set so it can also travel with my grandson. I bought it for my daughters family as her son had a severe seizure. They are very happy with it thus far. It has eased her stress so she can sleep knowing he’s being watched. Thank you for providing a great product.”

“Super impressed! So easy to set up and use, even with my minimal tech skills. Best sleep in well over a year, since my son's first seizure. Such a game changer for me, especially as a single parent. The lights don't bother my kiddo, like the ones on a traditional camera I had tried. He doesn't notice it's there, and I get wonderful calm and peaceful nights. Thanks SAMi! Y'all are awesome!”

“We absolutely LOVE the SAMI camera. It was obviously designed with care. I have slept so much more soundly in the past 2 weeks I've owned this than I have in months. The first night with SAMi we had a few false alarms, but that was no problem because I could sleep better knowing that the system would alert us if necessary. And after making some adjustments, we get almost no false alarms. Now that I see this camera in action, I am SO glad we chose this option over any other device. I love that it shows a recorded history of any movement throughout the night, so you can review it in the morning and make sure you didn't miss a medical event. I'm so grateful for this device and highly recommend it.”

“We are very happy to be able to monitor my child's seizures during the night with the SAMI device. My husband had no trouble setting up the device, although he does have experience in computer technology. My only complaint is we would have referred the I-Pad Mini rather than the larger I-Pad which came with the device. The large format is not conducive to sitting on a small bedside table, which is where we need it. The I-Pad mini would be much better size for this, and still large enough to view the seizure activity.”

Hi Judy, From time to time, we have iPad mini's available for purchase but must have been out of stock when you purchased. You can always purchase an Apple iOS of your choosing and download the SAMi App to that device for monitoring. Best, Trevor

“SAMi has been an amazing addition to our home because it gives us peace of mind that we couldn’t get before. SAMi has done a great job alerting us to movement while our daughter is sleeping, which has allowed us to catch seizures that we wouldn’t have caught otherwise, which allowed us to intervene and help her. It’s also allowed us to get more sleep, knowing she’s being monitored. Extra sleep is hard to come by in our household and is extremely valuable. Customer service has been impeccable and we’re grateful for the whole team and all that they do.”
