“Extremely Poor Service & Lack of Transparency
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Sandicliffe following the purchase of my vehicle. Within two months of ownership and having driven less than 300 miles, an engine warning light appeared on my dashboard. Concerned, I took the car to a local dealership (Sandicliffe is a 45 minute drive for me) for a Vehicle Health Check, which flagged £1,600 in urgent issues and £700 in advisories. The dealer informed me the vehicle wasn't safe to drive, and were shocked that Sandicliffe sold the vehicle with such damages. This was extremely concerning given that my 8 month old daughter had been in the car with me numerous times since purchasing the vehicle.
I raised these concerns with Sandicliffe, and Martin Hines (Service Manager) assured me that a thorough Vehicle Health Check would be conducted so they could assess my vehicle themselves. However, the entire experience has been frustrating and unprofessional. Despite being informed that my vehicle was ready for collection, I was given no documentation detailing the work carried out, no Jobcard, no Service Invoice, and no formal Vehicle Health Check report. This lack of transparency is deeply concerning, and I question whether it is even legal to withhold such records. I was left with no clue as to what work had been carried out on my vehicle, or the results of their own inspection (vehicle health check).
To make matters worse, when I requested copies of the original prep and reconditioning records from before the sale (I wanted to see whether any of these issues were identified), I was told they had already been archived, despite the fact that I purchased the vehicle less than two months ago. This raises serious concerns about how Sandicliffe manages and retains customer records. I have no doubt the records exist, they simply wanted to withhold the information from me.
I was also promised a call back from Martin, which never happened. I was informed it had been escalated to management and would receive a call back before the end of the week, this never happened. The complete lack of communication, failure to provide essential documentation, and overall disregard for customer concerns have left me feeling misled. This is not the level of service I expected from a dealership of Sandicliffe’s reputation.
I strongly urge management to address these issues and improve their customer service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Sandicliffe and would advise others to be extremely cautious before purchasing a vehicle from them. They're nice as pie until they have your money in their back pockets.”
“Called 4 times, long waiting to be answered, then cut off on the transfer, just wanted to check they had a model in the showroom before we visited, buying a new car from them and they can't even answer a simple query does not broad well for long term customer service so we will buy from elsewhere.”
“I brought my last car from sandicliffe nissan Nottingham 7 years ago, a Nissan juke, I exchanged this for a Nissan qashqai recently. I met showkat who helped me through the whole experience. He was very helpful, not overbearing and honest and upfront about everything, I was also introduced to the branch manager who was also very helpful. The whole experience was enjoyable and I would recommend buying a car from Nissan Nottingham.”
“Worst customer service and communication if you have a disability or helath issues rather than physical internal and brain injuries you explain amd you have to go through the contact centre and non responsive even if u ask them ti assist with needs trying to get a appointment and car with these people is a stressful and non communication journey ajd when you do speak they just palm you off like a mug absolutely disgusting , should not be doing motability with the system they have personally as im affected by there actions”
“I left a £500 deposit on a car where the deal did not go through back in February 2023, 6 months later am still waiting for my deposit. I have written several times but still no reply from the management. The log book was sent to me before taking delivery of the car which did not go ahead. I sent the log book back immediately but Sandicliffe say they never received it so they are holding on to my deposit.”

“When I was purchasing the car they were lovely.
Once they had my money - they became rude and arrogant.
Contacted over two weeks after collecting my car to say their was an outstanding balance (news to me - I paid everything I was asked).
Trying to get their “free” one years warrenty was like pulling teeth. Constantly making promises to call back / email / sort and they failed to do so.
When question on the above Tony (the branch manager) became abusive and rude.
I’d shop elsewhere.
I certainly won’t be having this or my other car services by sandicliffe in the future.”
