Awful app. Discrimination if you do not have photo ID! Now having to wait for some paperwork to be sent from them. Mobile app worked perfectly ok until new app. Santander are awful. Doesn’t help that I live in a town with no banks or cash points!

Not liking this new app AT ALL! Too many colours - stick to red and black. Too many fonts - so hard to read. Too distracting because of all the above. Can’t do anything without having to really pore over the little pictures and wondering what the heck they are! Why do we need pictures of what our cards look like on thr home page - these should be a separate tab. Too. Distracting! Can’t find anything quickly. Problems trying to pay credit card - input numbers and then it just disappears. Had to verify a payment on my mobile app and because a phone call came in I mid payment I couldn’t find where to verify easily. Thought it would pop up as a MAJOR tab on home page but nowhere to be seen! Old app was so much better! If it ain’t broke - don’t fix it. Same as when they started introducing videos to the cash machines!!!videos?? It’s a bank not You Tube. Seriously thinking of moving banks now on the basis of this totally frustrating app. Sort it out Santander please 🙏 Like other reviewers, am loathe to even give 1 star!!

A month later I tried again to make an overpayment on my mortgage. Since the app was 'upgraded' it can't be done, the app won't let me type letters in, only numbers. So I can't enter my post code & complete the transaction. Why are Santander not fixing this? I walked into town to visit the branch - and it was closed for refurbishment. Why not forget the redecorating and hire some competent IT staff instead ?!!

Zero compassion for mortgage holders My mother is the sole carer for my elderly grandmother who has significant care needs. She has been struggling with repayments. Santander offered my mother no assistance such as a repayment holiday. Whilst she was abroad tending to another family emergency, they repossessed the house, she had no notice of the court proceedings. She paid what was outstanding and now they are asking for all of the monies owed. A horrible bank with no compassion, beware if you are ever on your face they will not help you.

New Santander app takes ages to load and often doesn’t. What was wrong with previous app? Don’t like this new app one bit.

I deposited some money today using the atm . the money took my money . then came up with a message saying hardware problem and kept the money i called. the assistant over . she took my name and customer number and phone number and said the money should be in my account later . it been 12 hours so far still nothing. .

I recently paid off my car and was waiting for them to issue me the title. However, I noticed the delay for about 6 months and had to call them to find out where it was. I recently was told that they sent to the wrong address and was denied. They have to issue me another title send which will take about 7-10 business to get it. This is by far the worst banking system ever.

Unfortunately a big fraud, after more than 18 months I still haven't received any compensation from the bank. I had my account blocked and yet this bank allowed €1000 to be debited from an internet company. To date, I have not received another apology or compensation. Never again!

Everytime I try to set up new payee on my company business online banking gets blocked How on earth can we grow and have more staff Now I have to come back from holiday. Santander is the worst bank in the world. You simply cannot pay new staff and enjoy your yearly holiday

What a bad experience. I have shares in the bank with accrued dividends due to a change of address. I have given written instructions as to what they should do. Apart from acknowledging my request, they have done nothing. My inquiries are met with feeble apologies or promises to chase things up. I want my money but it's like pulling teeth. Are these people crooks or just disorganised?

I rated Santander Spain 1 Star as there is not a 0 Star option. Be very careful with this bank as they will not explain the conditions of their mortgages to you so the first year seems just fine and after one year they will hike up your payment by 28%. I have never been so exploited in my life and they specifically do this to customers that don't speak Spanish. I highly recommend NEVER working with this bank in Spain as they are complete criminals. I have had to go find a new mortgage and pay so many fees to change immediately. I am in shock this is an international bank and cannot believe they would do this to any of their clients.

Garbage bin worth more than these guys. I hope you get The karma sooner than later. 30 day late for $80 dollar carried over to next month, missing up my credit. I paid you 14000 in interest punks. You all go to hell!

I've been with this bank for over 20 years without too many hassles, until recently that is. In the past 6 months I had 2 alarming issues that happened, now in which there is no looking back. In attempting to open a savings account a few months ago, I transferred $1200 from checking into savings. The next day that money disappeared. It wasn't in checking or savings. I called the bank and got a "Well, I've never seen that before! I'll have to transfer you to our customer service line." I was first told that I spent the money and that's why it wasn't there. When I profusely argued that that was NOT the case and proved it through the transfer history, he put me on hold. Upon return he told me, that for some reason, the transfer was being treated as an outside transfer and the money is currently in a cloud somewhere but should return in 5-7 business days. I'm in customer service myself and I know things happen, right? So long as the money comes back, all will be well. It did come back after 6 day. All is forgiven but not forgotten. Then just recently a new debit card was issued because mine was about to expire next month. Problem is, they turned off my debit card without warning before I even received the new one. So, once again, I'm calling customer service to find out why, why, why did they shut down my card when I have yet to get the new one?? First guy told me that it was completely normal and standard practice to do this. When I called back, next guy told me that I activated my new cc which is why they turned off my old one. How in the world can I activate a new card without having it in front of me? Don't I need the 3 digit code on the back and the new expiration to do that? Once again, I'm being told it's my fault when I know that it wasn't. Every time I called, I got someone different with a different answer,. So right now, the only way I can get money out is if I physically go to the bank or use another credit card, which I'll have to pay interest on. Frustrating as anything I've ever experienced. Time to change institutions!!

Have recently joined Santander. Already thinking I have made a mistake. Online chat Kerry stated the bleeding obvious twice regarding my enquiry about a cheque I sent to them 5 days ago that still hasn't been processed. No offer to check if its being processed, just 'you'll know when it's been processed, it'll show in your account' really I hadn't thought of that!!

What on earth have they done with this new app. I can’t understand what money I have got incoming and what money has gone out. Why couldn’t.t they leave it alone. I will definitely be changing banks.
