Plants ordered and paid in March & April Still waiting 🤨 No communication until I had to phone mid June Won’t be using this company again

Placed an order for 2 plants on 19th of April with at the time delivery was stated to be early May. No plants arrived and not contacted to say why. Expected delivery date now been change 6 times and only found this out by looking at the plant that I ordered on their website. Did email and got an auto response saying they too busy and don't expect a proper reply for 10 working days. Tried looking on their website which now says I haven't placed an order along with message saying they had website problems so doing new website and hope to sort soon. When finally did get hold of someone, all I got was delay is due to weather. Feel that they are not looking after their customers and no customers support yet I am still getting their emails encouraging me to order more plants. Would be nice to get the once I ordered 1st

A friend ordered a gift collection of narcissus at Christmas. When they arrived, late, they were wet through with small insects in them. Managed to salvage a couple but very disappointed. A friend had to use social media to get the customer service to do something. Tried them again for some vegetable seedlings & only part of my order arrived with no explanation or expectation given as to when I will receive the rest of my order. Their catalogue is impressive but the customer service is absolutely appalling.

Really bad experience in all departments. Ordered 3 plants in Jan to be delivered in season (early May). Plant pots arrived all broken, basically as a bag of loose soil. Called customer service for refund and was told to send an email with evidence/ pictures, sent those with auto reply stating that due to period of extra busyness, we will respond in 9 working days. Got no response and still chasing for full refund. They are happy to take your payment but no responsibility to deliver with quality. With pandemic now being with us as a daily thing, that can’t be an excuse for lower product and customer services quality anymore.

It is now nearly mid May and the Alstroemerias I ordered at the beginning of March still haven't arrived. Why the delay? Will i ever get them. You are a very expensive firm and I expected a better service.

A very disappointing experience for my latest order. The only half decent plants were 3 bare rooted roses and the lily bulbs looked ok. However the snowdrops were dry and half dead, the geranium, was so small, at £9.95 hardly good value, whilst the thalictrum was not only damaged by frost, it was damaged by poor packaging too. It is still currently sitting on a windowsill trying to recover. No response from them either when I complained. Nothing like the glorious specimens in the catalogue. I certainly won't be shopping with this firm again. Definitely gone down hill.

Very satisfied with plants, seeds and other accessories. I had one problem of plants looking very unhealthy, sent picture of the plants. I was refunded straight away. All goods were well packaged.

All too often there are severe delays in orders. So I get a sweet pea root trainer kit but no sweet pea seeds. All ordered at the same time and shown as in stock. Same with jute netting for sweet pea iron frame which suddenly disappeared from order and now shows as unavailable. Living off the Sarah Raven name but very mediocre customer service especially given price points of products.

I placed an order on 24 September for 2 terracotta bulb bowls (website now stating that these won’t be available until March) despite one phone call and numerous emails as they are no longer manning the customer service line. Additionally I placed an order on 9 November for 3 zinc planters and have still not received them despite emailing the customer service line and being advised I should receive them in the middle of December (website now showing that they won’t be available until January. Shockingly poor customer service. Other companies have coped well but not Sarah Raven. Most disappointing.

Having been a customer for years I'm disappointed - ordered £150+ with of bulbs in total and an order for a 90 bulb collection was not delivered (although all paid for). Now told that that collection is out of stock... spent a month preparing ground for it. When I contacted them the first person I spoke to didn't seem interested - not even an offer of a refund! Value of bulbs is 46.50... called again and wanted to know how they are going to resolve it. Apparently 'someone from senior management is going to call me'. I hope so. Its put me right off after so many years.

I've bought from sarah for the past 3 years not had any problems till this year, and I'm very dissatisfied I've spent over £150 on various plants most of which did not yeald any flowers at all the others were poor and only gave me small amounts of blooms, I had other plants from other companies which performed very well. Also having ordered bulb compost. grit and other items back in sept I have to press only received 1 item, disappointed that I'm not getting replies to emails , I'm aware this has been a difficult year but I feel sarah raven has not given good service this season. Wont be ordering again as I feel I've spent a lot of money for very little or in the case of my compost order NOTHING. sad you cant reply to my query emails.

Very poor service and communication from Sarah Raven company . Still waiting for part of an order placed almost 2 months ago. The payment was debited from my account at the time of ordering. Have had to email several times for updates as no communication from the company and still awaiting a reply to my last email. One part of the order arrived poorly packaged. Very disappointed . Will never order from them again .

Dahlia Nicholas failed to flower plenty of foliage not a sigh of any flowers again very disappointed appears the virus has even affected this years blooms Poor

Dahlias bishop of Auckland both grown in barrels very inconsistent and flowers look washed out very disappointing after a long wait expected them to be lot more healthy dahlias are normally reliable the are very unsatisfactory

I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with the order I received from Sarah Raven. A friend introduced me to the website. I ordered some sweet pea. They came well packaged, larger than most plants I have received this summer. They are healthy. Very happy indeed. Now ......... let's watch them grow!

I ordered some slug wool pellets from Sarah Raven on 23 May and whilst the payment was taken swiftly and processed, the order no. 1745089 has still not arrived. Impossible to speak to anyone and email response blamed Covid19 and reduced customer Team for lack of information. Most unsatisfactory. Don’t know if I shall ever see the goods and I needed the slug pellets weeks ago! They have now wreaked havoc on my plants! I shall never order from SR again! And warn others not to do so either. Hit and miss with orders recently, some plants great and growing really well others like my much waited for dahlias a re disappointment the 3litre size not the pushy health plants I was expecting, a single shoot about 5cms tall! Leaves damaged and eaten ,ones covered in small bugs too. I think they have over expanded.

Ordered hanging basket plug plants in April, arrived in great condition at the beginning of May as expected (despite Covid) and all plants have grown into healthy beautiful plants, my baskets look lovely! I've also ordered salvias, geraniums and dahlia tubers in the past and all plants were really strong and healthy and have established really well and keep coming back year after year. Can't recommend Sarah Raven enough!

Order number 1684276. How lovely to open the Telegraph this morning and to see Sarah Raven’s smug face smiling at me from her beautiful garden - whilst her over promoted business takes advantage of thousands of disappointed customers during Covid 19. When I placed my order with Sarah Raven over a month ago the plant was showing as ‘in stock’, which means, by their own terms, it should have been available for dispatch within 2-4 weeks. So where is it?! Apparently ‘poor’ Sarah Raven has had so many orders that they are overwhelmed and massively delayed in fulfilling them. Unlike more responsible - and less greedy - online plant sellers, Sarah Raven did not start to restrict their daily order numbers to ensure a reasonable delivery time. As many have stated here, and with one or two other online plant suppliers, Sarah Raven has also totally shut down the ability to communicate with them in any reasonable way. Emailing them, as I have, yields no response. However we all note that they are dedicating staff time in order to reply to (or I am sure delete) bad reviews. Disgraceful. You should be concerned about your customers waiting for weeks on end for deliveries. So Sarah, I would like you to fulfil my order please? Stop using Covid19 as an excuse for disgusting service. You are not key workers. You sell plants. Stop being greedy and get on with it. I will now be writing to the Telegraph, Gardeners’ World and other publications to point them to all the terrible reviews and to show them how greedy and grabbing Sarah Raven’s business is in taking more orders than it can fulfil and that her media image is not at all what her business represents. WARNING. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM SARAH RAVEN.
