“This was the 1st time I used the company and was impressed by the speed of delivery. They also use the connect delivery service so was brilliant at getting delivered to local coop. Laptop itself is probably a 3.”

“DONT LIKE IT. It is difficult to open the CD apature. The touch control/click panel is not as good as the clicking a button. Seems quite basic.”

“not being a technology person i bought a laptop, norton and office university as ive got two kids at high school, not knowing that you cant use office university unless you actually go to university. i tried to install it and obviously wouldn't let me so i rang save a laptop to return this item and the lady told me in no uncertain terms that it was my fault and they would not accept it back. she told me to find someone at university and sell it on to them- hmm very helpful. i now had to buy office again online- i think their customer service skills are shocking and would never buy anything from them again!!! shame i already nearly spent £700 with them!!”

Dear Mr Francis, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the response you received when trying to return your Office University. Unfortunately, the information you have received is correct and once software has been opened it is non returnable under Distant Selling Regulations. If the issue had been reported prior to the opening of the software we would have been able to assist you with this. “Ordering process was relatively easy with plenty of information. Only problem I had was that they held my order for a security check on my credit card. I ordered a laptop at midnight so my card company and refused the first attempt as it looked wrong for my spending profile. Then save on laptops made me ring them to confirm all was in order. Slowed the order by over a day but taking security seriously can only be a good thing. The ability to have the laptop delivered to a local shop was excellent. Meant I didn't have to wait in or suffer the limited post office opening hours. Laptop arrived in good condition and all as ordered.”

“Very happy with the price and delivery of this product I have a couple of issues with the product nothing major but like the charging you cant use the tablet whilst on charge. The stand would of been good if you could have it all connected like a little laptop but other then that love it.”

“I bought a laptop that was dead on arrival. Rather than accept a return Save On Laptops insisted that I organise a replacement from the manufacturer which they would then refund me for. I had conversations in which I was stonewalled, lied to and patronised. (With the notable exeption of one member of staff who did what she could to move things on). After 78 emails, numerous phone calls, the involvement of organisations in Birmingham, London, Germany, Bratislava and two courier companies, I received a refund. I paid for the laptop on 10 January 2014. I received the refund on 2 April 2014. customer service is only as good as it's success in handling problems. If the starting point is that of contempt for the customer, then success will not be forthcoming. I will leave it to the reader to ascertain whether I shall be using Save on Laptops (trading name of Box Limited, Birmingham) again. L Harding 25 April 2014.”
