Ordered books 9/2021 did not receive them until 11/2021 after trying to contact customer service multiple times and no answer. I paid for books at the time I ordered like I do everything on the internet. Received an email last week saying my card would now be charged for the books 6 months later!!! Do not order from this company. Now I am told to return the books my daughters have been enjoying for 6 months. What kind of heartless company is this? Some people are on a budget ridiculous. Never giving money to them for bookfair or online orders again. Very disappointing.

Teachers beware: If a family orders an item that doesn't meet Scholastic's requirements for free shipping, the company charges YOU, the educator, for the shipping costs. Personally, I think this is absolutely shameful. Before you enter orders online or send in flyer orders, be sure they're not going to charge you out of pocket for the shipping!

I order my kiddos books clear back November 6th and just no receiving an email almost 3 months later stating they only book partial of the payment and they are gonna be taking the rest out of my account..... That is not okay. Yes i have the money to pay for my books I received but not everyone will and at a time in my life i wouldnt of had the money to pay the rest. What if they took my bill money??? and then have to hear we are so sorry it was our systems fault????? How does that become my fault??? The company should of lost out.... NOT THE CUSTOMER almost 3 months after GET REAL...

I find it odd how scholastic charges there customers. I placed an order back in early October. Received those books sometime in November and have just now been charged for them, 3 months later?! I swear I was already charged for them. The way the charge customers and ship the items is not matching up. I feel like I was scammed into something here. We will not be using scholastic book club again. How can you charge someone for something they already were charged for and have had for months or weeks already. Just take the initial charge and keep it! Don’t do a customary charge, disappear that and than charge when you feel necessary.

I have been ordering from Scholastic for years, but this year takes the cake! I had orders taking 2+ months to arrive. I also had a pending balance on my account randomly. I tried to inquire about it, checked my account information, tried chatting, calling, emailing, with no help. I finally get ahold of someone and they say that it will resolve itself and go away in a short while. I wait and wait and nothing changes. I try to email and chat again. No responses. I just chatted today and they are trying to say now that it is my bank's fault. I asked them why I wasn't told this before and they could not provide me with answers. BUT apparently my bank account will work just fine to pay off the balance they claim that I owe, but just not my orginial order? Make it make sense Scholastic!

Slow shipping like 3 months. You cannot get a hold of anyone about an order. I will not be ordering anymore.

I will not be ordering from scholastic in the future. It is going on 2 months and still have not received my order. These were Christmas books and it will be way after Christmas before we get this order, if we get it. I have used scholastic for many years. This will be my last year and last order.

The level of unprofessionalism demonstrated by this company is astounding. I have sent several emails regarding an order with no response. They guaranteed that if an order was placed by November 5th that it would arrive by December 17th. Why it takes them 6 weeks to deliver books is beyond me. I have initiated several chats and every single agent was disrespectful, unhelpful, and left the chat before my issue was resolved. I also have an unexplained pending balance on my account that none of the agents seem to know anything about. I cannot emphasize strongly enough how incompetent Scholastic employees are. I would award zero stars if I could.

I have texted, emailed and called multiple times about my book order over six weeks ago only to be treated with disrespect and no answer to when my order will ship. I had purchased books for every student in my class for Christmas, which will not arrive, and there is no date when they will ship.

I placed a order on 10/27 have reached out multiple times to see where my order is and I get no response from them at all. I’ve messaged on Facebook, emailed and called only to be placed on hold for over an hour to the point it disconnects. They are thieves.

It has been almost a month since I placed the order. They have not been shipped yet. There is no contact number or Email listed under their "Contact Us". Absolutely ridiculous. 30-45 min wait times for phone calls just to hear the lady is on a different branch and cannot help. The email I finally got bounced back as undeliverable. They look like a complete scam!!!

When deliveries are taking 2 plus months to get in and tracking is not available there's something sketchy going on...and teachers are in the middle of it. Ridiculous.

I usually love scholastic and am a huge fan of classroom orders. However, I have had multiple students order in September and the beginning of Octobrr, and they have not received their books yet. I have tried many times to live chat or call customer service, but the wait times are over 45 minutes long. My students are frustrated and I am no longer considering using scholastic until they can expedite orders in a more timely fashion and have better customer service response times. This is absolutely ridiculous.
