Frightening books for elementary kiddos. The thrills and chills section of demon possessions is worse than anything I let my kids be exposed to. We are banning these books fairs from now on.

Something happened with the payment, so they send me an email asking to pay the invoice again by phone. I did it. One week after this, they emailed me again charging one more time, a different amount. I sent a copy of my credit card statement and the a person named Andrea Roland insists that it is a different thing, while I didn't ordered anything else. I asked for a copy of the order and she sent the one that I did and already paid, in the previous amount. So awful. Never more.

This is my first purchase of books for my daughter (kinder) and I am very disappointed in how the process is. I can't pay through the school, teacher asked we all pay online and the order will be sent to the class. A month later I find out they never took my payment and there's no way to just pay it online, you have to call them directly. They have my information on file and I know I had the money even when I received the books already. So why do I have to go through the process again in going through my payment. Once I pay this off I will stick to onsite book fairs/ book stores or even just a library.

I usually order Christmas Favorites for my students. Unfortunately, this was not what I expected. Santa's Underwear is very inappropriate for children. There is also an image of Santa's behind on one of the pages. I was shocked and disappointed. When I called Scholastic, they refused to exchange just these books for other appropriate texts for my students. Scholastic has changed tremendously since the Pandemic. Sad.

Terrible customer service. They didn’t send the most important and pricey part of my order and never responded to any of my emails. Tried to take their survey from their email and surprise surprise their emailed survey don’t open in any browser (I tried all of them). They don’t want feedback, they want to steal money.

I looked at the Scholastic Book Club flyer that my grandkids brought home...There were very few, if any, books that I would buy for them. I am so disappointed with the selection of books and the price is way too high. My daughters also agree.

The app and the website are extremely hard to use. Very confusing and hard to navigate through. Puts me off buying books at all!

I’ve been a customer since 2001. Over the last few years I have observed how the quality of the books offered has decreased significantly while the prices have steadily increased. Gone are the $1.00 books. The parents of my students cannot afford the outrageous prices. Book order forms are filled with poor literature. Many of the books are tied to movies or cartoons. Where are the Newberry and Caldecott books? On the rare occasions that I do have parents submit an order, which allows me to earn $10 of free books, it’s a struggle to find one that I want in my classroom. Now Scholastic is pushing teachers to campaign and raise funds- asking more from parents and others- to purchase books. This company is disgusting and has clearly demonstrated that they do not care about children.

Books like five nights of Freddy should not be available to our children they are not educational and the fantasy story telling is undermining our Children’s beliefs and giving them the wrong imaginations of wickedness it’s filth take it Down

Run away from Scholastic Book Clubs... run, run as fast as you can. These folks are rude, their accounting department double charges, and then only offers a credit for more purchases on the overcharges (no refunds!), and they take months (and months!) to send out orders. I regret the day I ever heard of this company. Ugh.

I have stopped ordering from the Scholastic Book Club, because they have REPEATEDLY failed to deliver my orders. Their customer service is appalling; they always refer me to the school and of course the school staff help as much as they can, but it’s not their responsibility to chase up these orders. Now I purchase the books my kids want from elsewhere.

I have been a customer since 2001 and have never had issues like I did this past school year. Every month I had to deal with missing books, delayed orders, wrong item sent, etc. Teachers don't have time during their recesses to deal with customer service, requesting for their mistakes to be fixed. I also had an outstanding balance, which I know was not my mistake but probably a charge for a missing book they sent separately. Totally frustrating to deal with......

At the beginning of the year Scholastic was sending our teacher orders to the wrong address. After countless hours on the phone, it was still not resolved. I ended up having to physically go and pick up the books myself. On top of that, my order included books I did not order. I only placed one more order after that, which was placed at the end of the year and I had them sent to my home address. The order I placed was for a set of 10 books of the same title to give as gifts. When I received the books, I noticed on the first page a boy was saying that they hates school.😩 On the second page, the child said they hate another classmate. This is not something I wanted my first graders to read. I called Scholastic and they said I could return them but I would have to pay the shipping. I indicated to customer service my dissatisfaction and said I probably won’t be ordering anymore and she said “ok”. Not I’m sorry this happened or let me try to make things better. I have been ordering from Scholastic for over 15 years and I have never had this much trouble. I doubt I will be placing any orders very soon.

I ordered my sons books in September (Halloween/fall books) and we did not get them until December. The books were paid for at the time of ordering them. Now it is April (seven months after ordering) and they are saying I owe for the books. I’m definitely not troubling myself with this absurdity and we won’t be ordering from scholastic book fairs ever again. The books are over-priced anyway.

Overcharged several months after placing multiple orders similar to other reviews. Company refuses to return phone calls or respond to emails. Considering forming class action suit as it seems this is intentional given their lack of response.

This company has gone completely down the toilet. I have been a member since 2006 and ordered all the time. A few years ago some of my colleagues started have issues with Scholastic saying they didn't receive part of the checks sent. When they tried this with me, I had made a copy of the order and all of the checks that were mailed together. They didn't charge me further. I now have an order that has been "In process" since January. I have e-mailed 3 times and have gotten a zero response. I do not have time to hold on the phone for an hour while trying to teach. They were already losing business to tablets and I pads, but if this is how they are conducting themselves now, they will be out of business soon.

Horrible company. They refuse to refund my 9 year old daughter's money after they said they would. She attended one of their book fairs but put way too much money in her eWallet account. After countless calls including being kept on hold for OVER AN HOUR they said the best they can do is a gift certificate to buy more of their books. They are keeping her money. If you ever buy from this company which I DO NOT recommend at all, definitely do NOT use their "e-wallet" account because you can kiss your money goodbye. Next time I will go to Barnes and Noble. Also I did not get a refund it's impossible to get a refund, so the form below asking me "how easy it was to get a refund" is completely pointless, just like buying books from them.

Delayed shipping books for two months due to china delays. Has been constantly removing money from my bank account for the books for four months. Today they took out another 480 for I don't know what.
