I wish If there was another bottom to choose from, I definitely would choose 0 starts or maybe -0, The worst company I have ever seen, and worst customer service disappointing

I had a very bas experience with scottish power. Our application to switch from electricity to gas meter is pending for eight weeks. The engineer did not show up in the three give appointments, each time with an unacceptable excuse, fell sick at the last minute, the address was wrongly recored... We made three complaints but in vain. I could not imagine worse

Staff on the phones are downright aggressive, rude and condescending which really doesn't tally when the company has inaccurate information from their take over of Extra Energy three years ago... Maybe investing in customer service training and administration would be a better cause for their money rather than accruing more energy companies?

The Scottish Power smart meters triggers the RCD to switch off, leaving us without electricity in the following scenarios: - every morning between 4-4:30 AM (as seen in this video; the beeping sound is from my UPS that alarm) - every time we top-up (WATCH https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MBOD...) - randomly, sometimes multiple times per day in very short periods of time For some reason, Scottish Power refuses to acknowledge this fact and to replace our smart meters back. There is nothing wrong with our home network or the appliances, as this happens even if we turn off all the consumers. Besides, we have never had any issue with the old analogue meters. We've reported this to SP and begged them to take their smart meters back. Almost three months have passed now - they still didn't do anything yet. They simply do not care about about their customers, the appliances that get damaged due to this power cuts and most important the stress and health issues that this and the lack of sleep is causing us and our kids.

Here is my experience with Scottish Power. Please do your research before even thinking of joining 1. They consistently overcharge me 2. The customer service team relies on ignoring me for as long as possible 3. They attempt to take money from my bank account without permission when iam no longer a customer until i made my Bank class them as dangerous 4. Refund - months 5. Using the Ombudsman they attempted to delay, every single time 6. They then ignored the rulings of the Ombudsman and stalled for time by making 'errors' 7. They attempted to stop me changing suppliers by saying I was in debt until I proved otherwise I had written evidence on EVERYTHING. I never thought they would call me back which they never did I got ready for a long fight In researching Scottish Power and their workforce I was shocked and disgusted I am still waiting for them to adhere to the Ombudsman’s ruling. I have been waiting for them to settle the complaint since the beginning of February its now nearing the last week of July

SP sent debt collectors to my door for a meter that was removed from the property 6 months before I moved in. They forced me to pay a bill of £1500 and told me the charges were just my usage. I had never received a bill in 18 months. I spent months complaining to get my money back. 5 Feb 2021 I submitted a complaint, they still haven't dealt with it. 17th March 2021 I escalated to the director support team, to date NO-ONE has called me back. For 12 months I have been receiving letters at the property for a person who moved out in November 2018. I have sent everyone of these letter back, and today I have received another letter for this person saying debt collectors are again going to come to my door. The staff are incompetent. The systems aren't fir for purpose. The management and directors DO NOT CARE. Worst company I have EVER come across. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Go onto Twitter and #scottishpower and read the HELL that they put customers through. Disgusting!

STAY CLEAR OF THEM IF YOU ARE A SMALL BUSINESS. CUSTOMER SERVICES IS SHOCKING. PROFITS BEFORE CUSTOMERS. Wish I read reviews before signing up.

I always wonder why customers give 1 star as feel it might be unfair and unjustified. However, until you experience such poor service, I understand why. Five members of staff over 2 hours don’t know the terms and conditions and can’t explain to customers their rationale for not conducting work covered by boiler insurance. A customer adviser should be able to find out and explain to customer why work was being refused despite the policy terms and conditions covering matter. I strongly do not recommend Scottish Power boiler care/Domestic and General/City Technical Services.

Been ongoing for over a year even emailed letter and info last october no reply spent all day today ringing. They vut me off twice then made me wait 35 mins holding on just cut me off again . This company has no service at all in any way do not ever use the poorest of service they must have very lazy staff.

AVOID. DO NOT USE. EVER! After being a faithful customer for a number if years SP have now, due to a 2 year old system error, raised a credit default against me and despite assurances 2 months ago it'll be removed, have reissued a letter today saying yet another will be raised. Never ever use this cowboy company. The sooner Ofgem remove them from the market the better!

wow just wow - there is a reason somepeople work on the telephone worst customer service expirecnce ever encounted. avoid at all cost, will never deal with them everagain just cannot even be bothered to explain how much people there do not giv a shi about there job, just love to pass the buck and send you on to the other department. just so poor, we have a business and will never use them again

Incompetence to a whole new level. Years of trying to tell them I no longer own a property which they are still trying to bill me for nearly 5 years later. Threats of court action, multiple debt agencies contacting me, all of which have accepted the proofs I have given them that I AM NOT the owner OR occupier of the property, yet Scottish Power fail to resolve this. They have also attributed a default to my previously immaculate credit file for this energy account. Anyone thinking about using Scottish Power STAY WELL AWAY

Fitted a faulty Smart Meter which does not record meter readings, either at the meter or on the IHD. However, they keep demanding meter readings. Daily emails in poor grammar sympathising with my problem and offering to help ... after I have sent a meter reading! Disingenous complaints process.

Customer service is the most incompetent and inefficient I've ever met. I have been trying to transfer gas and electricity from my previous house for over four months. Over 20 phone calls, emails. chats nothing happend. They messed up my online account, without acces to my account I have no bills, I can't pay. I'm warning you if you want have just problems and waste your time choose Scottish Power.

Scottish power would not send someone to read my meter .I could not give them a reading as my meter was situated to high and had a cracked and I am disabled glass so could not read it ...after 100s of phone calls and emails to resolve this still they did not send anyone to sirt this out.so I carried on paying estimated Bill's for over 2 years ...finally they gave me a smart meter but then decided to estimate what i should have paid the previous 2 years .under the guidelines nobody should pay estimated Bill's over 12 months old .this is the worst energy company ever.no customer service at all.full of fraud .I've now left this despicable company and recommend that you avoid this company like the plague

It is impossible to get this appallingly incompetent company to understand simple English. I have had an electricity meter since 2011. The serial number in the SP database is now wrong (I don't have three days to explain how or why...) I cannot therefore enter meter readings because the 'system' will not accept these readings as the meter number is wrong. Can I get the serial number changed? No, not a hope. Every Customer Service Adviser treats the issue as a new problem, goes off-line and is never heard of again. I have to repeat the process ad infinitum. They would have to work hard to reach the level of abysmal.
