Absolutely bad! Worst supplier on planet!

Pretty consistently appalling. Probably THE most inept, incompetent unprofessional and downright ignorant business that I have EVER encountered. Not just in energy companies but of ANY type of business over the past 50 years. To be THAT bad is quite an achievement! They clearly put zero effort into customers and a lot of effort into maintaining their colossal ineptitude. Well done you!

I  used to go for the cheapest, it did not work out well: Utility Warehouse billed incorrectly after ignoring readings, I had to pay a £600 bill on the spot. GB Energy went bust less than a year after I joined after MSE had endorsed them on their switching site, I'd accumulated a large credit balance I never got back. Iresa was fined by ofgem on multiple failings, overcharged, went bust. They had zero customer support and never input readings, new supplier had to back-bill hundreds.  Tried Economy Energy who over-billed customers by hundreds, banned from taking on new customers and have now become insolvent. Same with OurPower who have also folded, Toto and Solarplicity, Eversmart, Uttily,Brilliant energy. Gnergy about to go bust, Robin Hood have just had to borrow nearly 10 million £ to stay afloat. Breeze energy, and Delta Gas and Power also rocky. These companies also attract huge fines for not sourcing enough energy from renewable sources which is bad for the planet and back for your pocket. Companies with tight margins over-bill customers to claw back extra cash to try to keep afloat, so there aren't really savings despite them advertising 'cheaper' unit rates. They have little to no support & eventually go bust taking your credit you've built up with them, it's a pattern we are seeing more and more. Nobody wants to have to spend hours, weeks, months dealing with consumer complaints and trying to retrieve back their credit from being over-billed or over estimated readings. Please consider your own mental health,go with a solid and reliable company. Currentlly with Bulb, got £50 for joining *credited as soon as my account went live. Website is efficient, updates quickly, good online presence, reliable support phone & email, 100% renewable electricity, and will install a free smart meter if you wish. Join Bulb and get £50 credit, AND they pay any exit fees from your old supplier. No exit fees to leave, if unhappy you can switch for free - you still get your free £50 it's a win-win. avoid avoid avoid the most disgusting and awful company the customer service is rude and unprofessional, this company is not honest at all. i have been overcharged for last few months and the scottish powre has never take the meter reading from me so they just been overcharged for no reason. as i was talking to customer service who name himself (Brian) and asked him to connect me to the manager then the same person started to talk as manager. do not take any contract or deal with this company (scottish power).

Truly awful and very upsetting. I first had issues with SP a few months ago when I suddenly went into my overdraft on my current account. When I checked this was because SP had suddenly changed my DD from about £65 to £444 and had taken 2 payments so I was £888 down. I called them and sorted this although it took me 7 calls where each person gave me different response. Readings were given and my DD went back to normal. Then in August they suddenly took £308 and in September £338. Once agin I called and this was sorted. I was put on a fixed rate until 2021 at £66 pm. Now I check my online account. My September bill was estimated at £230 so after I laid my £66 the account shows I am in debit by £163.99. How can this be when I am on a fixed rate? So when I hit the Direct Debit tab in the online account is says my recommended monthly DD should be £381.... for a 3 bed semi with only myself and my daughter?? Rant over. I’m in the process of switching

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID Unfortunately not able to give minus stars. Without doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Have sent me 15 bills in the past 6 weeks all showing different amounts. Made several phone calls to them to find out how much I actually owe. None of their staff were able to help and was told that they're putting a hold on my account so that they can investigate. One week later a get a letter from debt collectors.

I switched my energy away from a Scottish Power to Moneyplus Energy due to the savings and better service. Scottish Power continued to take payments from me and even took two payments in 1 month. When they finally cancelled my account they didn’t send my refund for around 1 month. Terrible service and one agent put the phone down on me because I didn’t know my meter number!

After changing my meters to pay as you go and sorting it all out..... 2 yrs later i apparently owe £407 so tried to take it out of my electric meter at £12 a week. I told them I live in a vulnerable household and I have no idea how this could happen especially when I pay as I use it. They don't care that just want the money. I was incredibly distressed on the phone and told him so..... it made no difference. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CAUSE DISRESS TO VULNERABLE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

they ganged my customer after supplying me with false information, and personally I am leaving them A.S.A.P they at time switching, not only got my meter serial numbers wrong, which I had 3 months arguement to get it sorted, they told me I would get smart meter within 6 months, year later still not got it. personally as one of the big 6 I WOULD NOT BE RECOMMENDING THEM TO ANYBODY. IF I DID, IT WOULD BE STAY AWAY FROM THEM AS EVEN THEIR SITE IS SLOW

My god never dealt with a company like this before. Constant emails and letters wanting Meter readings that we have given a week beforehand, even had meter reading man round too. Been in flat 3 months and have supplied readings and paid bills on time. How much more communication does they want. Every 7 days they’re in contact and it drives us mad

They promised to provide meter readings to my old supplier when I joined Scottish Power but they still haven't done so. Even though they lie to me saying they have provided them. Contacted my old supplier today and they still haven't got the readings from Scottish Power. There customer service is non existent. You start a chat and it takes hours if not days before it starts or even finished. So frustrating wish I had read the reviews before I joined them it would have saved me a lot if frustrating and stress and anger

Even 1* is too high! Absolute joke of a company! I raised a complaint at the start of July and am still awaiting a phone call back (now October) even though i have chased this so many times! All i wanted to do was switch away, and they have made it the most difficult thing. They need to learn a thing or two from other companies as they make this so easy! AVOID SCOTTISH POWER AT ALL COSTS

Scottish Power is by far the worst company I've ever encountered, ever! The amount of stress and anger you'll get from dealing with them is just surreal. My case is long (like the ones below my review) and boring. Two months of struggle: calling, mailing, meter reading and still in progress. I just can't wait to sort everything out (not going to pay imaginary bills) and move the f*** away from them. DON'T EVER EVEN CONSIDER THEM AS YOUR ENERGY SUPPLIER, JUST DON'T. Choose any other company but please don't even consider them. You'll save yourself a lot of time, money and most of all your mental health.
