Supposed to be on a pre xmas delivery. Lie after lie after lie promised a loan sofa yet another liethat was booked in after they break up for xmas so i couldnt ring and complain. On purchase i wasnt told about a delivery charge. The salesman Brian is a compulsive liar and a low life. I will never even consider walking into an scs again once ive finished complaining to that little weasel Brian.

Shocking customer service Stockton-on-Tees branch, let down not once but had the cheek to let us down twice!! Worst customer service ever experienced!

I bought my sofa and chair, cash, for it to be delivered that week, after 4 phone calls I made I then get told that a member of staff had sold my chair, and I would have to wait till the end of January for new one to be made.

Ordered a carpet weeks ago..paid more than £400 up front ..delivery and fitting was arranged.. then cancelled due to the carpet not being delivered to them. Fitting rearranged..inconvenient but however just desperately needing it done. Was due to be done again tomorrow (Saturday 10 December) just had a call a few mins ago ( Friday 9th Dec) telling me that yet again it hasn't been delivered and it will be Monday they receive it BUT its going to be the end of the week -if I'm lucky- before it's fitted! Husband is unaware of this setback as he's currently travelling home from working away, specifically to remove furniture etc for our carpet to be fitted tomorrow!( 6 hours travelling!) as well as Losing pay ..I've taken two days off work now to accommodate this carpet ..I have children and can't even put our Christmas tree up.. disgraceful, stressful and costing us even more now! Never ever again ..wish I had went elsewhere now!

Appalled by lack of service throughout - 29/6/2016 ordered 4 seater curved power recliner + 3 seater manual recliner (Ralph) from Harlow SCS Store. Salesman stated the 4 seater sofa we were sitting on in store (curved) was the only 4 x seater available in range when we questioned the order form didn't state 'curved'. When order arrived 18/9/16 (after delivery delayed due to SCS error) a 4 seater straight sofa was delivered. We went straight to the store to be challenged by another salesman who stated we should have checked there was no straight 4 seater in range rather than taking original salesman's word for it! Eventually original salesman admitted fault & curved sofa was ordered. Again another delivery delay but SCS did try to take old (wrong) sofa 4 x days before delivery of new which we disputed. Eventually correct sofas delivered after a great deal of stress/delay and absolute anguish!!! NEVER ORDER FROM SCS unless you are in for a fight!!! To top the lot we have been told within terms & conditions it states SCS never offer any form of compensation... AWFUL COMPANY!!!!!

i visited scs to purchase a 3 piece suite,as i am disabled and in a wheelchair,i was concerned about being able to get around the store,what a pleasant surprise i had ,andy the salesman there moved furniture around so i could see every item.,he helped me choose ,try every thing and went through all pros and cons ,when i finally found the one for me he offered me a welcome cup of coffee whilst he explained all details from paying to deliverary. i was treated like royalty,

Sofa bought within 12 months developed a fault with the cushion. First engineer who can to look at it said there was nothing wrong with it, so I requested another engineer to assess who said the cushions needed to be replaced. Cushions arrived within agreed time frame repair completed but leather had sagged. Contacted SCS who denied poor workmanship, contact Barclays who sent out Servico to conduct an independent report. Sofa had been damaged, leather torn on the underside of sofa resulting in sagging leather, additional staples put in which have caused injury... Still SCS state it is my fault for not dressing the sofa. Thankfully Zb Barclays are going to get it repaired via Servico at no cost to me as SCS have denied the repair has caused further problems. DO NOT BUT FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!

Great service in Wigan by Di Vicars - really friendly - not pushy and gave lots of options - only went in for a look around - bought Dayson corner range - really pleased with choice

Bought £899 sofa had 3 people come to try fix as it sags so much, long story short told my fault for not dressing and plumping up every day. In dispute will not leave this here . DO NOT BUY FROM SCS !!

Service of staff once you have ordered your sofa is appalling. I purchase 2 x three seater sofas from the Luton branch. The first the member of staff at point of sale was helpful and caring for mine and my girlfriends needs. We were told that the maximum wait time on the sofa being delivered would be 10 weeks, but it is likely to be sooner. Happy with this timescale of waiting we placed the order and looked forward to our delivery day. 11 weeks later we get a phone call to announce that there is a delay with our order of approx. 4-5 weeks. I couldn't understand why this was as we had phoned only 1 week pervious to be told the sofas would be in store that weekend and we should have them within the next 7-10 days. Unhappy with the communication I requested the a loan sofa be delivered for the interim period. After multiple phone calls over the follow week we declared that we would be cancelling the entire order and at this point the manager finally got involved to organise a load sofa and stated we receive it over that weekend. I had previous explained that the sofa would need to be comfortable and large enough for my girlfriend to relax on as she would be have serious surgery and needs something adequate to recover. I was assured that it was taken into account. I have just sent the delivery drivers away with the "loan sofa" after a 40 minute wait while phone calls were made to the store about how unbelievably inadequate their provided sofa was. I had been offered a 2 seater orthopaedic bench style that would be seen in an old peoples home. At this point I have to say the service provided by the two driver Matt and Steve from the Coventry Distribution Centre was exceptional! They cared a great deal about my situation and were embarrassed by what had ben offered. I phone the Luton Branch in order to speak to either the manger who had authorised the sofa or the Admin Manager who had previously been dealing with the compliant to be told for the umpteenth time that neither were available. I was informed that an acting manger was in store but he was with customers. I asked for him to be interrupted to which the girl on the phone did go and ask him I am told but his response was "I am with customers, he can wait." - Top marks for customer satisfaction Tom (Luton Branch). The driver then phoned their depot to put some urgency on the store and yet 20 minutes later I had no phone call. I rang again and Tom answered the phone but I was told that nothing can be done as the manager isn't in until later. I hope that the customers he was dealing left the store without a purchase and went across the road to DFS which I wish I had done to begin with. I would strongly suggest anybody thinking of using this store think twice, the price may well be good but the likely hood of a stress free wait and a satisfied result will near impossible. I would hope the cancelation process is far swifter than the ordering of my furniture, but won't be holding my breath. Unreliable, inconsiderate and embarrassing once you hand over money. Again thank you to the delivery men on the day, two fantastic guys that understand how a customer should be treated.

My parents bought a stair carpet with underlay. The fitters decided not to put the underlay down as they said what was down was perfectly ok. No refund for the underlay - just stuck with a massive roll. The carpet has 2 massive track lines and a flaw in the weave. Been into the shop many times but each time they get fobbed off with another story. The best one yet is "although we sold it to you its not our responsibility if its faulty its the company who made it." Can you imaging going to a garage and buying a car and when it goes wrong being told not our fault mate go see the man I bought it off previous to selling it to you. This firm's aftercare is shockingly non-existent - the stress over this damn carpet has been a significant factor in my Mum's ill health. Once they've got your money they don't care. They really shouldn't be able to get away with it

I concur the aftercare service is shockingly poor, don't bother ringing the shop you purchased the goods from either as they are not interested, all you are told is contact the after care service, don't ever expect a call back from them you have more chance of the queen calling you inviting you around for afternoon tea and cakes and to have a chat about how poorly her successive governments are at running our country. SCS stands for sofa and carpet specialist more like shocking customer services.

The worst company for after care brought my sofa back in 2013 and still waiting for them to repair it. 1st they sent the wrong size 2nd they sent only 1 pc 3rd they sent wrong color. why they cannot give me a replacement. nobody from SCS has contacted me, i am having to do all the ringing round. thinking of taken them to court. STAY WELL CLEAR.

Do not buy carpets from SCS, save your money & your stress levels when you realize how poor quality they really are. Customer service is non existent! About to go into battle again over unacceptable quality, the phone was put down on me by Nigel mid sentence! We have to write a letter& take into store!!!! Really! Disgusted!

On 2nd carpet this year, 1st a line fault, cost us time & money, c/s was non existent at Coventry store! Now this carpet which cost nearly 1000.00 looks as though been down years! Now having problems again trying to sort it. No one wants to know. Got the money, now go away attitude! Phone put down on me while still talking. Nigel obviously never had c/s training!! Save your money, go anywhere but SCS!!!!
