Buyer beware: Sales team encourage you to complete paperwork for an item if you need to go and check your measurements. If you find that you don't want the item, then claim you have completed the order and that it can not be cancelled. Don't give them any details until you are 100% that you want to buy. This was a very unpleasant experience and I would never shop at SCS again. It was like some kind of trick that was worthy of 'That's Life'

Waited in for flooring delivery that never arrived. Phoned customer services for 2 hours with no reply. Wasted my fitters time too.

What can I say still waiting to get delivery of our new sofas despite a week of phone calls and advising can only take delivery on a Saturday. Been on hold for customer services for about 20 mins. Will not use them again

I am completely frustrated and feel appualed with the service from SCS. We were due delivery and fitting on the 21/1/20 this day was delayed till 24/2/20. We received a call about the delay a few days before and was given no indication how long the delay was for. The fitter arrived on the 24/01/20 and informed me two rooms would be fitted however the remaining areas would not due to damaged carpets. All carpets were removed for the fitting therefore floorboards were left exposed with grips and I have a young family. A date was arranged by SCS after I physically went to the store to demand an update. The store informed me there was a miscommunication therefore the next date was the 14/02/20. On the 14/02/20 the fitter was sick. After I initiated contact again with SCS a date of 28/02/20 was given. I contacted SCS on the 28/02/20, SCS provided me with the fitters contact details. He was supposed to call before 11am to confirm the fitting. I initiated contact,he advised me he would call after 2pm to arrange fitting. I attempted to contact the fitter three times after 2pm no answer. I called SCS; they advised the job will be completed before 8pm. I received no further contact and the carpet is still not fitted. I am deeply disappointed, frustrated and shocked by my experience. I wish I had never parted with my money . My home is not habitable for my two young children, and SCS couldn't care less.

Absolutely awful service, bought 2 carpets for my 2 daughters bedrooms, gave the sales assistant the measurements one room slightly bigger than the other, when the carpets arrived we were told they were both the same size, one is about 6 inches to small for the room, it's impossible to speak to someone on the phone, nobody has bothered to call us back, we have sent emails and no one has returned our emails, it's the worst customer service I have ever experienced, they don't even deserve the 1 star, I would avoid scs completely

I have read many of the reviews to find that we are not alone in taking delivery of an inferior leather suite. Sinking seats within 12 months. A so called repair was carried out by SCS. Surprise, surprise the same thing happened again within 12 months which SCS refuse to put right. Dont waste your hard earned cash on this Company. I have had three leather suites prior to this one, none of which sank! Obviously very poor quality furniture which sinks when you sit on it!!!! If you do want to buy from them, best not to sit on it.

I would not deal with SCS again even if they offered me a million pounds for every seat purchased, I bought a suit from SCS then the seat/arm and back cushions collapsed within the 12 month warranty, they replaced the suit for a La-Z-Boy suit and advised to take out an extended warranty £300 as this covered everything. after 18 months guess what the cushions collapsed again but this problem is not covered by the extended warranty everything else is. SCS said the warranty has nothing to do with them as it is a separate company. but they will send out an engineer to assess it at a cost of £75

If I had the option I would have chosen no stars!!! I had a carpet fitted in July 2019 and I am still waiting for a refund due to them measuring up wrong TWICE!!!!! After numerous phone calls and emails, I have choice to express my frustration on here!! Do not use Scs go else where!!

after ordering 2 two seater settes and carpet paying deposite no corespondence from shop had to go to shop twice to find out why the delays of both items not impressed i think head office should do some staff training at the CANNOCK shop i will not be useing them again ps carpet fitters and delivery men were exellent also iwas going to give them the extra buisness of carpets upstairs and hll stairs and landing but no chance now

Promised soda would be delivered by end of Feb. Now it won’t be arriving until mid March. SCS didn’t even bother to let me know. It was only when I contacted them to check delivery date that I was told.

I’d like to say the aftercare is apauling but it’s not even that good there has to be some actual aftercare for it to be rated and there isn’t- beware once they have your money they care no longer about you as a customer.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Sofa is of good quality and it’s fair enough to get this from them but I would avoid their carpet service like the plaque. I can’t imagine a worse customer service and aftercare service.

We have just taken delivery of our new sofa on Saturday. Distribution centre S0064-4267566-BDC-006-018.The delivery crew DARREN and PERRY were brilliant. Installed the sofa professionally and without damaging anything. Plus the Mrs is happy, always a bonus. Ben.

What aftercare. My staircase carpet as all come away after 6 month of fitting. After going into the shop, ringing and emails numerous times. Still heard nothing. Manger in shop said I have to ring aftercare. So I rang and rang. No reply. Sent emails and yes again no reply. So myself and my disabled partner are walking on a dangerous unfitted carpet on the stairs for well over a month now . Trading standards should look into this company. Very very poor aftercare.

Why advertise you pay for fitting ? Yes you put it on the invoice then deduct it from the total amount due . When the fitter came I had to pay for the vinyl in kitchen & bathroom which was fine but when ask for breakdown of his charges there was £54 for the lounge carpet , I intend to report SCS to advertising standards for false claims in their tv commercials. Worst experience ever! Where do I start? After promising fitting prior to Christmas, it was finally fitted 11th January by complete cowboys. The carpet on the stairs has been cut too narrow- revealing the pink underlay on either side. SEE PHOTOS! Not only that, the fitters have damaged by walls, skirting boards and door frames so badly so that a decorator has quoted £500 to repair them. The cowboys even tried to cover up their damage with pollyfiller- hoping we might not notice the damage to our newly glossed woodwork! It’s beyond belief. After taking in photos of damage to the local store the following day, we have been referred to ‘after sales’ and we are still waiting. We have been promised that it will all be replaced and repaired but 7 weeks later, we are still stuck with horrendously fitted carpet that is shedding daily, popped up door bars (causing a hazard) and damaged walls and woodwork. (We had paid for new door bars but they didn’t even get fitted!) The after sales team are literally IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of. I have now been in touch with trading standards, trying to resolve the issue. Please don’t make the same mistake as us!

Appalling - we bought a suite ready for my husbands 65th they assured us in the branch it would arrive on time, that they would push the order, it was 11 and a half weeks before his birthday. I rang after 4 weeks to check it would come , we had decorated our house throughout, new curtains, fires, other new furniture, flooring, everything completely new, I was put through to head office - who rattled off it would be 12 weeks, it didn’t come for my husbands birthday, they just wanted a sale and told us with reassurances what we wanted to hear, it came a month later after my husbands birthday, so more 15 to 16 weeks delivery. When it arrived in the warehouse, they then couldn’t deliver for another week, I’d never buy anything from here again. They didn’t care.

I received delivery of my sofas this morning I would like to say how happy I was with the staff in Cardiff gate store from the time I walked into store until the phone call I had to say it was being delivered at 7-30 this morning it arrived on time I have to express the service we had off the delivery me they were spotless when they arrived they removed their shoes and were the most polite people I have ever met they assembled the feet onto my sofa put them in position and removed the packaging when they left the men’s names were Scott and Ant I will defiantly use scs in the future and recommend them to all family and friends

Dear Sir / Madam, I am writing to you to raise an issue about: In-store - Flooring The issue that I have experienced was: Ordered and paid for carpets, total £1,438.07 order number S0056-4308296 on 27/1/2020.was sent via e-mail confirmation and fitting date of 10/2/2020 by chris topps. and a price of £211.25 for fitting as we supplied our own underlay.Took day off work,midday no one arrived.Tried ringing no answer so went to the store,was told it was never ordered showed them the e-mail of confirmation i had and was told it would now be the 18/2/2020.Told them that wasnt good enough as I was looking after my disabled aunty as my father was in intensive care I had lifted all the old carpets and furniture was stacked in the garage.I waited instore while they contacted a few colleagues people.It was then confirmed a fitter would come on 12/2/2020,as it was just another 2 days I arranged for my auntie to stay elsewhere as it wasnt safe enough in our house as it was,Took the day off work,midday no one arrived rung scs store,was told it was ordered and fitter should be on his way and was given fitters number.Rung fitter, was told warehouse wouldnt let the order go out no reason was given.went back to store,salesman showed me e-mail sent by warehouse to store saying only part of the order was there so they decided not to let only part order out.After asking what part order was in they said the bedroom,my response was I need the bedroom carpets fitted today so my aunty can come back, if you cant fulfill that request I would like a refund,he made a few calls and I got the bedroom carpet fitted in the afternoon,and was told the remaining order(living room and hallway) would be fitted 13/2/2020,Took the day off work midday no one arrived so went to store,was told the carpet wasnt at the warehouse yet so couldnt be done it would be in by the 14/2/2020 and would be fitted then.I rang the fitter to make sure this had been confirmed with him,he said yes.My wife made a few complaints through the proper channels no one ever got back,sent an e-mail no one has replied.took the day off friday,fitter arrived but there was no hallway carpet,he fitted the living room carpet and I was told the hallway carpet would be fitted on 18/2/2020.My wife took the day off no one arrived.fitter rung me this morning of the 19/2/2020 to say he had got the carpet and was on his way,then he rung me half hr later and his vehicle had broken down.We have still had no return contact from anyone at scs after many promises that somebody would.We are still waiting for the hallway carpet.Last point the fitting is costing more then quoted due to numerous visits.
