“You need to know shona-joy.space is offering your clothing at reduced prices. I ordered a dress from them which worked out $200 NZ. I received a cheap necklace in it's place valued at about $5. When asked for refund, no correspondence at all. I am letting you know as I have purchased from you in the past and the service has been excellent and the clothing has been exactly what was ordered. I have tried to write this review on their website, but no where to do it. I just though you should know. Thanks Kay NZ”

“If you live in Canada, I don’t recommend you to buy a dress from Shona Joy because you will need to pay for CUSTOMS DUTY FEES. I had to pay 100.91$ Canadian dollars, which is excessive. When buying online on the Shona Joy website, you won’t see any information related to custom duty fees. You think that everything is normal because you already had paid international shipping costs of 25$ USD but is not; you will receive a bill from DHL for taxes and duties. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel I had an honest transaction with Shona Joy.”

“I’m wish I had looked online for reviews on Shona Joy before ordering a dress online. I tried to return it within the 10 days and the website said I was not eligible for a return. The reason I wanted to return the item was due to the poor quality for the price. Beware, do not purchase from them.”

“Poor quality materials and make of all dresses. I have made the mistake twice now and neither time would they accept a return for a faulty item. I will never recommend SJ or buy from them again. The last dress I bought was the Isola dress and it just fell apart on me after wearing it for just a couple of hours. Very disappointing.”

“If I could give Shona Joy 0 stars, I would. I've never dealt with such terrible customer service—the lack of transparency and poor communication is appalling. I ordered what was supposed to be my wedding dress on July 4, 2023, and it had arrived very quickly on July 9, 2023 (I live in Canada). Unfortunately, the dress did not fit and I returned it via Canada Post the very same day I had received it in the mail. Here we are, on August 14, 2023, and I have yet to receive any confirmation or communication in regard to my refund. I have contacted their customer service team twice and on both occasions I received standard replies providing me with information about their returns that I have already seen on their website... I have never had such a terrible experience with a merchant before. I have tried to remain patient, but it truly feels like they are lying at this point and how am I to know. The dress had arrived so quickly when they shipped it, there's no way they haven't received the return back by now. I wish I had seen these reviews sooner. I would have never ordered from them. As beautiful as their dresses are, go find the dupes or order through Reformation. Better yet, don't support these scammers at all.”

“If I could give one star, I could! Not sure what is going on with this fraudulent company, but they are running some sort of scam. We paid $400 for a dress. It showed up FAST—too fast for a company that claims to be from Australia or New Zealand. Then, they made it IMPOSSIBLE to return. Do not buy anything from them unless you know for sure you need or want it. We wasted $400 on an unusable dress. They have figured out a way to trick credit card companies, too. They claim you can return things and dispute your disputed charge. When I really pushed it, they gave me an incomplete foreign address. More wasted time, a trip to UPS, and I am told the address is not usable, and if it were competed, I was likely looking at $300 in shipping for the return! Never again, never again! I can’t even imagine who is able to afford ordering from them with the risk involved. I honestly think “they” are some company set up in some US location, pretending to be in AUS/NZ in order to block returns.”

“I would not recommend buying a dress directly from Shona Joy, the return policy is awful. I wanted to see 3 dresses for potential bridesmaids and little did I know I would be spending close to $309 for shipping alone to return them. The WORST return policy.”

“Do not order anything from Shona Joy. They are an absolute scam. I bought 3 dresses, one of which I needed to return, and one that was faulty. They refused to refund me for the dress that was faulty. The one that was too big was apparently a ‘sale item’ ($340 down from $380 mind you) so therefore I could not return it. The one item I did return, I had to pay for via registered post. This company is honestly the biggest scam and there’s no way I would have bought anything if I knew I would have had these issues and wasted so much money.”

“So disappointed. I ordered the Lana midi dress in green, which looked incredible and was quite expensive and it did not reach my expectations at all. It looked cheap and wrinkled and the fit was horrible. The upper part too tight and the lower part too loose . So I had to return it. The taxes for it to come were £80 and to return it I have to pay £50 and choose my own provider. This is horrible customer service in my view.”

“I bought a dress recently from Shona Joy which I had to return back as it was too big. When I asked Shona Joy for a refund/ exchange they refused and said that the dress was damaged by me. I flagged that while trying it on for the first time the zipper was extremely stiff and got caught on the material. They accused me of wear and tear (even though I wore it once to see how it fits). They refused a refund/exchange and instead returned the dress to me. Just a warning to other buyers - DO NOT spend your money on this brand. It’s low quality and poorly made. I believe they tampered with the dress as when I received it back, there was damage on the edge of the dress which wasn’t there when I returned it. They don’t want to lose a sale and it seems like they will go out of their way to avoid a refund/exchange. Please be wary when purchasing”

“Very terrible quality dress!!!! I wore a dress from here for a wedding and for the entire day it was just falling apart. The hem somehow ripped and the threads all over the dress were coming out. A stitching also broke and I had to hunt for a safety pin. Worst experience ever. To all ladies, never buy recycled polyester dresses. It didn’t even last me an hour without fault. Will NEVER buy from here again!”

“Awful customer service. Sent me the right dress, wrong color and did not returned the money. NEVER BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN. My friend that buys from them all the time got so mad (it was for her wedding) told all 12 bridesmaid to don’t order from there and she changed dresses. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE”

“Disgraceful customer service. I didn't ask for a refund, all I asked to do was swap a dress as I thought a bigger size would look better. Their reasoning was due to fabric quality they can't. Then it was a discount period not sale and they identified it as a sale and eventually we got around that and the girl offered a credit note but the dress was no more and it would take days to get and I needed the dress for a special occasion. I can understand no refunds but declining a dress swap makes no sense, especially when the brand is offered on The Iconic who swap, refund. It makes no sense in this day and age. Disgraceful customer service and let's not forget patronizing customer service. Lesson learned and I will never buy directly again.”

“Worst Customer service I have ever received. Purchased a skirt that was 10cm under spec in the hip (which was over 2 and a half sizes smaller) then it should have been. Waist measured to a size 8 but the hip measured smaller than a size 4 according to the size guide. Don’t trust the size guide it means nothing. Shona Joy said that it’s in tolerance and won’t accept a return. I will never buy from them again due to the lack of customer care given.”

“Worst customer service ever. Bought 4 bridesmaid dresses. One arrived damaged. They had the audacity to say I’d caused the damage due to the fact it would not have left their possession damaged. I advised them on day 10 and was told that they would not offer a refund. What a joke! Do they think they’re above the consumer law?”

“do not shop here especially if you live in the US. horrible customer service and they make you pay for your returns and I had to spend $130 to return back to Australia. also the quality was subpar and the fit is not accurate. im always a size 2, I ordered 8 dresses and none of them looked nice”

“I purchased my wedding dress last minute from here as I had a crisis with my original dress and can I just say the shipping was so fast, the quality was amazing and customer service was so helpful with all of my questions. I can't wait to get more use out of my dress and shop Shona Joy for any future occasions!”
