Very disappointing, left feeling like they were trying to get every pound out of us. Their customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful. Would not recommend.”

“Wouldn't even give one star if I didn't have to. Where do I start with this horrendous company which have caused me nothing but stress and anxiety to the point of panic attacks. I paid over the average per month for a single parent 2 bedroom household of ÂŁ85 per month. They were informed numerous times of the faulty meter and out of the 13 months of living in my previous home, no one came to fix it. When I moved out they then sent a final bill of over....wait for it.... ÂŁ4,000!!!! I was getting harassed by their debt collectors until I took it to the ombudsman. They then lied and said the meter wasn't faulty (everything is on record that it was, even a member of their team told me it was and the local council informed them too). They then said I wasn't due the ÂŁ4,000 anymore (surprise surprise after stating I've spoken to the ombudsman) but I was due ÂŁ937 on top of what I had already paid to them in the 13 months, taking my bill to over ÂŁ2,000 for a year!!! They thought I was zipped up the back due to my vulnerability and additional needs. They took advantage of this. No apology for the initial ÂŁ4,000 mistake either. Very aggressive and condescending emails. Still waiting on ombudsman sorting out this incompetent company.”

Spark is a scam company that overcharge you, prevent you to switch to other suppliers (they stopped my switch 4 times despite having paid all their bills) and that it is impossible to contact except when you have to pay their very expensive bills. Then they want proof it was empty, they ask for a picture of the reading, now I have it, they do not want to see it. “Spark Energy should be avoided like the plague. They will take unauthorised amounts from your account, up to x3 the agrees amount. They will ignore meter readings and estimate that you owe them up to x3 the agreed bill. I have been harassed up to 12 x a day for money I don't owe. I even tried to leave and they stopped me leaving as a result of an imaginary sum they said I owed. If you use this company you are opening a big can of worms for yourself.”
“When you ask to close the account and I’m credit, they than add readings to your final bill so they try and avoid the amount that your in credit. When you have proof of the readings on the meter and also the credit that you have they ignore you. Absolute con artists even with evidence from their own staff of the credit”

They've tarnished my once perfect credit score through their consistent incompetence, even worse, after spending 12 hours a week on the phone for over a year, I blame this company for seriously impacting my mental health. Breeching legislation and their contractual obligations is common practice. Charging what they want, when they want is standard practice (as a single homeowner, I was regularly left without food or essential items due to random 200%increases in direct debits) Which, Martin Lewis, OFGEM.... Please bring this company down, they are literally destroying lives!! (Ps. I'm a professional and one of those folk who would say with confidence 'it only happens to people who do something wrong or who don't pay on time') it did happen to me and it could happen to you too. Avoid this company at all costs!”
