My wife and I got new glasses last summer ... hers were bifocal so cost a bit .. few hundred .... they finally gave up the ghost last month after about 9 months ... given my experience too .... see below ... she went to vision express ... turns out ... as she thought ... the prescription was wrong ... new glasses from vision express about £100 less and perfect vision now .... me ... I have single vision lenses .. so 2 for 1 offer ... first pair fell apart after 2 months (not the screw) normal wear ... finally fell apart about 3 months ago ... so using my second pair ... they fell apart tonight ... again not the screws ... just turned to my wife to speak ... arm fell off ! Again ... normal wear .... I also feel the prescription is wrong ... will look for my money back ... yea right !.... but definitely not going there again .... at the time we thought the examination seemed not right ... well looks like we were right then ! ... so angry ... a lot of money wasted

I have successfully managed to sort a product order and I have thanked the online support as well the sort Team leader for coordinating so professionally as I had some urgent problem and they helped me to fix it. It was concern issue as that was an obstacle for work, moving safely and I thank the Edgware Road team, and chat with us option for finally delivering the product with success!

I purchased lenses over the phone on friday 12 june 2020 and had to wait for weeks in the pandemia context before getting an answer !Everytime I called the store nobody was answering the call and I never get my product on time! I had to cancel work plans and it has had a negative impact in my schedules and on my income as I had many business customers not happy as I could not respond to their call due to the absence of lenses! I did not have a good experience with Edgware road store and the service was much better in Lewisham store where I had the lenses immediately after payment!!

5 weeks ago I was in need of having glasses repaired, unfortunately due to Covid-19 i was unable to, 3 weeks later I was allowed an eye test no problem even though we were in covid-19 lockdown, and they were happy to receive £320, although the lady wasn't helpful the gentleman was, I was told they would be ready in 2 weeks due to covid-19, Monday 8th June I received a text message saying to call for an appointment to have my glasses fitted. I made the appointment for today Friday 12th, knocked the door and was greeted by a fully masked PPE young lady who asked my name, locked the door & came back with a bag with my glasses in, I asked why they weren't being fitted and quess what I was told due to covid-19 they are not fitting. I fully understand covid-19 i work for the NHS, but surely after receiving your money they can fit your glasses, i have come home and they are too big, called up and I have to wait for an appointment approx 2 weeks. Disgusting and after many years going to specsavers will be the last.

Do not go here unless you want to waste good money and time. I am still waiting to hear back from a complaint that I then had to follow up - nothing. The salesperson was one of the rudest people I have come into contact with. Being told something is “only $70 more” because I wouldn’t buy two pairs of glasses on a “buy one get one free deal”. “Only”? They have no idea they are lucky to have a job let alone customers spending money! I told her I don’t need two pairs I wouldn’t use them. After that it was like hell froze over. I’m still waiting for my glasses and a response and I have no idea if the tint is up to standard. Maybe one day I’ll hear back from them

“Saved my sight.” My practice is in Dereham.I phoned them on Good Friday also during lock down as had a very sore and blurry eye, I am blind in my right eye so was worried as this was my good eye, I left a message and they got back to me within the hour to meet them at their practice. Was sent urgently to hospital as had a piece of metal in it and it was healing over which could have turned out really badly.. They were so professional and kind, many thanks to Calum and to the lady I dealt with as they were amazing.

I am happy with the service that I was given at specsavers. I have stuck with them over the last few years of wearing glasses as I found them to be cheaper in price, and I like the glasses they have on offer compared to other high street or online opticians/suppliers. Considering we are at the moment as a nation in lock down with the Corona Crisis, the service I have been given has been very good. The day before lock down I had an eye test which I didn't have to wait long for. The test I paid £15 for as I had an offer to use, this included a £10 test that I obliged to have extra to test for eye diseases that I could have or get within the next 4years. I ordered 1 x clear lense ,and 1 x sun glasses which were designer with verifocals. My store had closed due to the virus but when I called them they told me that my glasses were ready to collect from a nearby store in Sainsbury's. My glasses had been made and ready for me earlier then I expected, only took Nine days!. I love my new glasses and they fit perfectly. A Big Thank You to Specsavers. 👓🕶👍

I popped into the lewisham branch because I broke my glasses, and didn't have a spare. The young lady fixed the broken ones and told me about the buy one get one free, just incase anything happen to these again. Well done Lewisham.

With the majority of the nation in lock down and fellow optical stores closed, the bigwigs are sacrificing their staff to make a few odd pounds a day. I feel for these individuals who have no choice but to work as their bosses sit at home safe. Im not sure how they live with themselves! Someone needs to help the staff out of this awful situation that their selfish directors have put them in!

Terrible company to work for in a national crisis - risking the health of employees as desperate to keep their doors open, the head office geurnsey have a total lack of respect for staff and store directors - more worried about holding out for as long as they can, true colours have really shown! Not a good company, concerned about profit loss and customer footfall, couldnt give a damn about their staff members!

Firstly, the staff weren't friendly, expect one. I had my eyes checked with the normal test and the OCT scan. I told the opticians about my problems with my eyes, she wasn't really listening to me just looking at her computer. she didn't answer my questions on my concerns. she told me I needed new glasses for my reading, then see looked at my OCT scan and told me I have a slight or thin line of Glaucoma which she said was ok for my age and just to see her in two years time. I let the Opticians feeling worried and upset. when I went back to pick up my glasses I asked the staff about my worries about the glaucoma, they weren't helpful what's so ever. I felt really annoyed. I told my G.P about what she told me, she asked for a note from the opticians about the scan results, when it was send to my G.P. the opitician makes out that theirs nothing really wrong with the scan and that she didn't say that I had glaucoma. why would I make up something so serious. Secondly, I have used my new glasses but it makes my eyes detorted, online it says it would take 2 days for the to adjust to your eyes. but that hasn't happened. I am reluctant to go back having had a bad experience.
