“Hi I went to collect my new glasses today in brighton when I was supposed to try them on for fitting and to make sure they were ok the man came over and tried them on me in the waiting area .I told him that I couldent see clearly through them everyone was watching me and I felt very uncomfortable the man clearly wasnt interested in the fact that I couldent see properly so I left with glasse that are no good I have used specsavers for years but will not use again”

“Spent £442 on titanium frameless glasses buy one get one free which I was told were virtually indestructible. A leg broke off and a new leg installed as under warranty. The second pair had a leg break off in exactly same place and now the original pair which had leg replaced have broken again exactly in same place. Was informed by manager in Stirling branch nothing he could do as glasses out of warranty and it must be a manufacturing fault. Has anyone else had this problem. I will never use Specsavers again”
“I visited Spec savers in Elgin recently. The company had advertised reading
glasses for 15 Pounds. National advertising.
I went to get some. There was clear pressure to buy designer glasses.
I was then directed to a stand where I was tole the L15 specs would be. There were none. I was given a box and told to put the specs I liked in it. They were all considerably more than L15.
The assistants are clearly trained to do this.
This offer is quite insincere and is a device to get you into their shops
so they can pressure you into buying more expensive specs.
I wouldn't go nearSpecsavers again. They are only really interested in making money.”
“I have purchased designer glasses which started to corrode under the eye section of the frame. I returned them and the frame was replaced. The new pair are also corroding. On returning back to spec savers they want me to have the same frame. I have requested a whole new frame to which they say I have to pay for it. My frame was changed in August 2022 - not a happy customer”

The gentleman who tested my eyes but menin contact with someone and they gave me a large magnifying glass and a small one to pop.in my handbag. Both these were really good. At no charge they were replaced even Though it was past the 90 day return policy. “Arrived Specsavers in Kendal Sainsburys at 4.20pm exactly. Traffic had been bad so I was 10 minutes late. Four members of staff stood around chatting. No customers.
Female of the group immediately scooted into the consulting room to hide. Poked her head out to whisper to her bearded colleague she couldn’t see me- didn’t have time!! It’s very rare that I’ve encountered jobsworth behaviour this bad. It was despicable, cowardly and unacceptable.
Why are four members of staff needed when there are no customers?? I’d recommend sacking them all. I will never use Specsavers again.”
“Booked an eye test at sainsburys at Mansfield for next day at 11:10 am .My chest is bad and i have mental health problems so going was a struggle for me .Got there they told my wife no appointment .Go figure so i told them to stick it wont go back again”
“I had been wearing reading glasses for the last two years. So after a few reminded from Chesterfield branch I booked an eyetest in July. After the test I was offered glasses stronger than the reading glasses I use. I had been unable to wear the prescription glasses because there are to strong. I feel disappointed with the original eyetest.”
“Hi my name is Paul, I live in Leicester but have just visited your site in Bethnal Green London as my 85 year old mother in law damaged her glasses, one of your customer service team, Micheala popescu asked if I needed help and I explained the problem, she took the glasses and replaced the missing screw cleaned them and handed them back in no time at all, she was very polite and helpful and when I asked how much she said it’s fine no charge, she did all this whilst being rudely abused by another customer, for no reason that I could see, and I’d just like to say how refreshing to meet someone who is conscientious about her job and she is a credit to you, so thanks again Micheala and have a very merry Christmas!”
“After my granddaughter was examined 8 years ago they said that she need glasses she had a date for 2 years and kept having her eyes testedid but then took her to an independent In altringham And they said she did not need glasses she also had a check up at boots and they said she didn't need glasses so that is why she was having headaches she didn't need any bloody glasses”
