Hillsborough branch are incompetent at getting verification orders right, in checking orders before asking you to come in and customer service in dealing with complaints by not giving basic apologies

Really disappointed, they refused to change the lenses in my own glasses, really unhelpful and only interested if your paying their prices for frames of which I could find nothing I liked. I won't go to specsavers again. I don't know why the word savers appears in the name as they don't seem to save anyone any money looking at most of these reviews.

Hounslow branch used to be excellent but last manager retired. Excellent and friendly he was. Since then it looks like new management in and it’s gone downhill Gave me the wrong prescription last year which I queried 3 times then had to pay additional £100 on top of £300. New glasses needed now and it’s just money money money it seems. £300 for one pair. What!!! £137 for 2 pairs online. This will be the last time spec savers. The trust in your staff has gone. Massive trust issue here John

con RIP off, just want your money,my glasses were to small every time and very tight, they will just say that looks good and unhelpful staff with dimension sizes of glasses, vision issues as measurements were out,ill fitting cheap, and gave me contact dermatitis for years ruined my life..I use online now surprising how much more helpful they were and save around £400 each time and for 2 pairs I paid £137 online price and one was varifocals.better frames than specsavers.Don't waste your money....only good thing was the eye test.

They always say they can't change the lenses in the glasses (you have to buy a new pair). They've done this to me and multiple people I know. When you go to another place they do it just fine.

Dear Specsavers team Could I suggest staff train [ of management ] I was refused a £2.50 refund for a product that did not do the job it was requested for This was your Beckenham shop so perhaps other shop managers are better But petty to stop £2.50 refund very sad Please display sign in yours shops on items that no refunds can be made

Terrible. Last time they omitted a vital part of my prescription. I went to another branch and it took 3 months to discover that an A B or C corridor had been left out. This time I went back to the original, local branch and arrived to find that they had no record of the appointment I had made. They don’t answer the phone until well past opening time, the automated answer is all you get and then if you opt to speak to a staff member, you are cut off. Epsom branch is in dire need of some proper supervision. Some genuine enthusiasm and dedication would go a long way to improve customer service. Unfortunately, no one seems very interested in the customers, there is a distinct air of apathy. Specsavers use the term ‘team’. There doesn’t appear to be any sense of teamwork whatsoever. I worked for the NHS until 2 years ago and know what genuine teamwork and patient care looks and feels like. It’s sadly lacking in Epsom Specsavers.

I’ve just been told that now Easycare contact lenses will now be issued 15 days after the direct debit is taken - is this some cynical money saving scheme whereby if everyone’s lenses are delayed by 2 weeks and Specsavers reaps the benefit? Very poor!

If every company was ran like this one the world would be a happier place. Customer service is second to none. 10/10

My reaction specs are like looking through frosted glass. They are 2 years and 7 months old so Specsavers hide behind the 2 year guarantee clause little point in complaining very negative and unsympathetic attitude from the manager in Bridgwater I'm off to Boots.Shame really, I have a 5 year old pair identical to these and still perfectly OK to use!!

Still waiting to be seen in your Portsmouth branch. It's been over forty minutes now - what poor service. Fortunately I've invested some of the time in reading your steam of poor reviews. I don't think my glasses will be purchased here any time soon. What a shambolic company - I"ve never seen such continuously poor feedback!!

Gosh I wish I’d read the reviews before going to Sheffield City and Crystal Peaks Specsavers. Utterly poor service from start to finish. Complete wrong prescription for VDU glasses, biofocals not fitted at all the first time. Too busy and rushed, staff disinterested and it goes on. Rude staff in Crystal Peaks branch, arrived 5 mins early, went in for a contact lens trail, was directed to incorrect waiting area, then after 20 mins to be told I’d missed my appointment. I can’t believe in this day and age they have got it so wrong. Sorry to say I won’t be going back.

Have been to your SURBITON shop on many occasions this year and cannot get my glasses to fit and vision poor. Terrible staff, not interested in the customer apart from paying. Rushed through choosing frames, they received back one wrong from Lab. so had to have this changed. Adjustment was poor told my brain would need to adjust to the new lenses. No interest in what they are doing for ever looking at manuals. Had received both pairs of glasses after 2 months of waiting but they do not fit, never measured for correct size, why not! When asked why the assistant said all frames are the same size? Staff not trained or just useless at what they are doing. Asked for refund and told why did I need this as my glasses were fine. Specsavers DO NOT save you money there offers are a rip off, quality of product poor, staff abysmal. DO NOT GO THERE.

Prescription was completely wrong - the specs provided were worse than my old glasses. I was told that specs would be ready on a particular day - they weren't. Manager said they have bent over backwards to help but I'm not convinced they did. He spoke to another Specsaver employee - there seemed to be no sincerity in what they were doing. Very much we've got your money and you ca't do anything about it! I SPENT OVER £400 AND I'M TOTALLY DISSATISFIED. Try getting your money back - impossible! GO TO BOOTS!

Terrible customer service. Glasses recommended there are not fitting well at all and need continuous adjustment. Stuff are rude, particulary I enconutered terrible staff today in Bath. She was standing at the endtrance just chatting with colleague ingoring me waiting, after all, refused to provide service without appointment. Shop wasn't busy compared with the usual standard which I usually need to wait here and there between whatever the procedures..., she was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Bye the way, immediately after I called at Boots optician where I had kind and prompt service on my glasses even it has purchased in Specksavers. Now I am determined to change to all the glasses and contact lens purchase and contract to Boots optician! They have professional attitude and not rude like the one in Specksavers! No wonder Specksavers are rated low generally.
