SEVERAL BAD POINTS IN THE RENEWAL PROCESS. 1) I carried out the renewal process TWICE online but the renewal was not carried out by the Staysure system 2)My account is also on auto renewal but again no renewal was made. 3) After receiving two renewal reminders on 17th April I decided to phone and check. I Emailed the issue on 17 April. 4) Very long wait to speak to a Staysure agent. 5Agent confirmed no renewal carried out. 6) Agent helped me make a renewal by phone - she was most helpful. Overall the renewal process was inefficient and time consuming. I expected better of Staysure! R S Cressey(Mr)

Totally different cost from online to phone call. Phone call £200 dearer.

Too many screens ‘hung’ - you had to constantly go back to the previous screen. The message Try again’ came up continuously

May be easy to arrange cover but looking at the reviews I'm hoping I never need yo make a claim..won't be renewing next year I want to have faith in my insurer.

When I had a serious illness days before I was due to fly, I was hospitalized and I was barely conscious, I was un able to travel anywhere even home from the hospital. We had only booked outward and return flights, my son tried to cancel both flights unfortunately as I was the person who booked the flights I had submit the cancellation. EasyJet was very accommodating but RyanAir not so much, after many stressful weeks I decided to submit my claim through my travel insurance, this process was as bad as RyanAir and not very successful, more barriers, I decided not to proceed with any claim. However I have just received a credit note from RyanAir out of the blue. I was not impressed with Davis group’s handling of my claim so I have instructed them not to precede. I normally automatically renew my insurance Annual insurance policy but after this experience I will not being renewing when my policy is due to be renewed.

Claim denied for specific trip which was cancelled by the tour operator due to Hurricane Beryl as we took out insurance in January. So didn't cancel by the 14 day cooling off period. Advise you to take out insurance up to two weeks before you go!. Paid for something we didn't actually use.

Disappointed with Staysure Travel Insurance for the second year in a row. Despite a few helpful staff, their rigid business model limits flexibility and hampers effective customer service. The high cost doesn't justify the entry-level service provided. I'm moving to a different company. Not worth the extra money. Avoid if you value customer-centric service.

Initial contact but did nothing about seeking mefical info from hospital admin team. Then said they didn't believe I had disclosed previous gallbladder illness. They have three years of medical notes to review before making a decisio . Poor communicators. Poor professionalism. Aren't intetested in delivering the cover that has been paid for.

Transferred to 3 different people. Hard to understand two of them didn't seem to.listen what I was trying to inform them . Wanted to let them know they had health statement fact incorrect but didn't listen, kept talking about other things. I was trying to say, my policy price has in reased on last year,if you put the correct facts in it may reduce the price and then I would consider renewing. On phone 30 minutes, nearly hung up.

I’ve been advised that I needed to register or sign up for an account in order to get the insurance documents. However I’ve spoken to customer service and they will post them to me in a weeks time. Not everyone wants an account or register, still don’t understand why I can’t just be emailed my documents.

In good faith we put a claim for cancelled transport on booked helicopter from the Scilly isles due to storm Kathleen. We had to therefore incur costs for an extra night on the island. We were then told it only covers cancellation for international flights . We had purchased extra policy for disruption cover due to weather. We were shocked and extremely disappointed.

We had to take a single trip out for my dad as he didn’t want to add Europe on his yearly cover. But the excessive questions the woman was asking and the way she asked, it made my dad scared to clear his throat from time to time Incase they suggested he had pneumonia and acute bronchitis. The hassle of not adding it on to the yearly cost saved us 15.00 on the yearly amount, trust me when I say it was not worth it! I was so annoyed afterwards! The lady was patronising and I almost felt like they they were looking at ways NOT to stay sure!

I was recommended to Staysure from my mother who has used this company for many years, I used this company for travel insurance last year with no problems. I took out a policy this year again, but the agent was too much, he was noting down every medical issue that was no longer relevant and was more worried about losing his bonus, the call lasted over an hour and I nearly gave up because it became too complicated. I ended up with a policy that wouldn't cover my pre existing conditions because I am waiting for medical tests. I feel very upset and now have to cancel the policy and look for another company that will cover me.

Took insurance for 5 week trip to Australia and Singapore. When I checked policy it was for 7days only. They said they based it on my online quote. I wanted a real person to help to stop this sort of thing happening. Apparently I was told twice the one week dates. I obviously have not heard the recording, but seriously doubt that. I got a straightforward refund. But seriously who gets 1 week travel insurance for that far away. I already explained that other companies wouldn't insure us for more than 31 days and needed 38 days. Still lesson learned, just because the company is supposed to be a good one. Shop around, much cheaper elsewhere, and the dates are correct.

We explained that we were travelling to Tenerife and Canada. The agent gave us separate prices then offered annual cover to include our 2 trips plus cruise cover . We accepted and paid in full. Next day a phone call the agent had forgotten Canada (despite talking at great length the reason for the trip) Not a very professional way to do business!

I was left in a hospital abroad for 3 days waiting for an operation while the handling company and the hospital argued over non payment of outstanding bills. Phone Staysure in the uk and they don’t want to know because it’s been handed over to the handling company. Eventually the op is done but the nightmare doesn’t end there, I have to source a wheelchair myself find clinics to change dressings every other day which has to be paid on the spot. On returning home tried to claim expenses and the online claim form is so complicated and confusing you need a PHD to understand and being in my sixties had to give up. Staysure were no help said the form had to be completed on line and they refused to help me go through it, so I ended up nearly £1500 out of pocket.
