What went wrong? Read your reviews. I was lured by the catalogue. Reality was a sad shadow of the fantasy. I suppose that I only have myself to blame for not reading the reviews before I ordered.

Avoid!! Ordered plant plugs on 9th May for 72 hour delivery, received an email with a new despatch date of last week- apparently too many orders for this offer. Throughout the entire wait time the plugs have continued to be advertised as available online!!!! Its going to be too late now for these plants to make a decent garden show. No update whatsoever received since 15th May. NEVER AGAN.

Plugs arrived upside down covered in soil but impossible to report this as emails are not answered neither are the phones. Couriers need packaging marked 'Live Plants' to potentially prevent this. Balance of order not received nor any emails regarding delays so will resort to chargeback to retrieve money. Why send out new catalogues and run marketing campaigns when you cannot supply EXISTING customers? Never using Suttons, nor T&M again who seem to be behind this chaos.

Ordered Begonias in January for delivery May promised delivery last week. No sign of them. Can’t even access my account due to their recent updates. Don’t use this company unless you want the run around. This happened with their other company (Van Meyerbeer) a few years ago.

Having had late delivery, damaged and missing items due to poor packaging and handling. You have to have respect and sympathy for the poor souls who man the complaint lines at Suttons. This for myself is the second year of bad experiences. I will probably go elsewhere.

Will never use Suttons again. How do they get away with this! Ordered £40 worth of plug plants in November, still waiting. Emails being ignored. It's far too late now to use these plants, even if they are delivered. Extremely annoyed. You would be foolish to use this company

Wish I had found these reviews before I ordered, total rip of emailed to let them know the plug plants on arrival were rotted had soggy green leaf on my hands out of 10 plants I have one alive I potted them straight up to give them a chance to no avail, I have emailed them a week ago no reply yet they can keep sending me emails with special offers joke I am waiting for my fushia plugs to come first not holding my breath second will probably be dead anyway and I agree if you could give no stars then that's what I would give zero absolute disgrace of a company, say's despatch time 72 hours they made a mistake there think it should be 72 days or weeks, need to pull ya socks up suttons lot's of unhappy people should certainly NOT still be trading taking peoples money for dead stalks maybe we are all in the wrong job here I have some wilted nettles here which might be lovely fushias or petunia's any takers only £1.99 per plant ;)

Plants ordered have not been received. Sutton’s only seems to be interested in taking orders, not ensuring delivery and do not respond to emails. Won’t use them again.

We ordered numerous flower seeds last July to plant this year, the yield has been shocking and they were planted as per the instructions and grown in the polytunnel with good quality compost and soil, we wont be buying from Suttons again

Words fail me! Reading all the ones below my heart sinks. I WAS ADVISED NOT TO ORDER BY MULTIPLE PALS! Duuurrrrrhhh! All I can say is I've fallen foul of a company who has no policy, no customer care, no after service, no one on the phones, no nothing!!! it's just a set of pretty images that come though daily. It's all lies and film flam, promises and dead items. Lord above if I ran my business like this I'd be run out of time. They are a disgrace. I spent 100 quid on plugs likely they will arrive already as compost! Shocking behaviour from a leading brand that was once top of the table. I'd give this experience a negative 100 if I could. I'm warning you here but also posting to all the national gardening associations and will be informing the RHS about the failure to honour deliveries and 'holding' money! Shameless. I'm making sure Gardner's world know Rip off Britain and all other consumer affairs programs! Plus press releases to all mags and papers! Well, they've had time to sort this out! Tool late mate now.

Yet another disappointment from Sutton Seeds. A forsythia was ordered in March. I was told, after follow up to ask where it is, that it will be delivered in August. I have now been advised they have no supply so they have refunded. I have now had dead plants delivered, delays in my orders, sad looking plants delivered. Funnily enough I have had no problems from your competitors so I think I’ll know where to go in future for good quality plants

I have been waiting over a month for a plant to arrive after receiving dispatch confirmation. Emailed customer services after 7 days and had to wait a further 7 days for customer services to reply. They confirmed that the plant would arrive in 3-5 days... 2 weeks later plant still hasn't arrived and no response from customer services.

I ordered this 12 runner bean plugs descibed on the website as: Runner Bean Plants - Super Trio Collection 12 Garden Ready Plugs (a mix of the 3). I assumed that I would get 4 plugs of the 3 varieties. When they arrived there was no indication which plug was from which variety. I rang Suttons to be informed that I could tell by the different colour flowers. That woud be some time after i planted. I was told as this was a mix Suttons had no idea which plug was which variety. I was told that there was no guarantee that I would in fact get 4 of each variety. Indeed I might get 0 of one (or even possibly of 2) variety. Suttons claimed that a mix of the 3 might just be all of one variety. I was planning to share these with a friend as I do not need 12 plants. Just have to hope that I get a selection and as planned I can then see which variety I like.
