We are owners who let our cottage with Sykes Cottages. Just so customers know, they are asking their owners to refund them if they have paid us for your booking. However they are only offering you a credit to your account. They have never been great with their owners but this is not on.

Disgusting, money grabbing firm. Kept our deposit then took even more!!! From our bank account , even though the whole country is on lockdown and we cannot travel anywhere!!! Shameful company, will never use again

Agree with all the critical reviews regarding this company’s actions regarding cancellations due to the current Covid-19 situation. We have had to cancel following government advice for the over 70s. Sykes have refused to give a refund. Have used them before but will never do so again, we’ll use airbnb instead - they are giving refunds.

After all this shocking behavior from Sykes, you deserve to go bust. It's disgusting what your doing and I hope you have a change of heart and start refunding people. I hope customers remember what they're doing and don't use them once this is over

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Refusing refunds to customers who can’t travel because of lockdown. Profiting from Covid19 and keeping customers money when they need it most. Ignoring customers and owners and making profit of both. I’ll never use again

Do not book with this company. We booked here as a constellation for our upset children as we had our Caribbean cruise cancelled for obvious reasons. Now due to government advice the site is closed. The company are refusing a refund. They state we can rebook but due to school holidays and me being a serving police officer with limited leave availability we cannot find a suitable alternative date that isn’t 100s of pounds more than the original cost. I would like this money back as now my husband isn’t earning as he has to look after the children. I have paid for a service and adhered to my side of the contract, Sykes can not provide that service and should offer the refund . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE IMMORAL AND ILLEGAL

We had to rearrange a holiday in May due to Covid 19 which Sykes have declared the holiday is cancelled. They have waived any amendment fee but we are expected to pay the same price for a week in May 21 which should be a lot cheaper. Sykes have no consideration for their customers and We will never book with them ever again.

I had to rearrange my holiday in May/June due to Covid 19 but am expected to pay the same price for a week in December which should be a lot cheaper. Sykes have no consideration or care for their customers.

Unwilling to offer refunds in current Carona virus debacle. Have used previously but would never use again. Paid in full for which we’ve received absolutely nothing. No response to emails. Can’t get through on phones.

Totally lost for words with the way me and my elderly family have been treated....totally understand having my dates cancelled as I was going away on the 17th of April....but the offer of changing the dates only to find out all prices doubled for later in the year after the news of the lockdown...is dam right greedy and has no moral justification...and I wonder if the person who's house it is will be happy when I take back my money in another way later in the year..... revenge will be sweet...no place for greedy theives.

The Corona Virus has brought out the best in the vast majority of people,unfortunately the CEO of Sykes Cottages in not amongst them. Sykes Cottages are profiting from some of these very people currently giving their all who are now unable to take their hard earned holiday. I have made many bookings with them in the past but will never use them again

Refusing refunds despite a government ban on travelling. They do not care that you cannot simply rebook or change dates. Apparently the world and his wife have unlimited leave entitlement with their workplaces. Also hiking up prices for future dates even if you could rearrange. Despicable.

Profiteering from Covid-19 crisis. Utterly shameful company staffed by crooks. Currently concentrating on generating laughable and oh-so-obvious fake ‘good’ reviews rather than providing any degree whatsoever of customer service. Without doubt, the most morally corrupt, contemptible and despicable company it has ever been my misfortune to deal with.

Avoid at all costs. Actively profiting from the coronavirus and keeping everyone's money. Horrible customer service and attitudes Never book with them unless you want to set your money on fire
