I purchased two iPhone XR mobile from TITB my phone was received, unopened box with a genuine iPhone. iPhone worked well for 34 days but the power board failed so I took it to Apple Cardiff for repair/fault diagnostic. This is when I was told the phone was never destined for the UK market due to the fact it was a Chinese model and that the parts are unavailable in the UK for repair. TITB responded by offering me either to repair the iPhone themselves with 2-5 week repair time or I could take it to a repair dealer of my choice and have it repaired. I chose the later due to the repair time - the repair came back at £300 due to a failed power board. I contacted TITB and they offered £25 to cover repair costs, I declined this offer. The phone was sent back to Manchester for repair where a couple of weeks later I was told that they were waiting on parts. Great. They required me to remove find my phone and remove the Apple ID which I did but required my Apple ID to fully remove the device - I removed all personal info off my Apple ID and sent them my password, they evening a request to access my Apple ID was made from Hong Kong. TITB had lied and sent my phone back to China for repair. Now TITB are saying that the fault wasn’t from the factory and that the warranty doesn’t cover this also they are asking €180 to fix the phone. The fault is a failed component within the phone now something wear and tear after 34 days could of caused it. Their customer service is terrible as they will only answer any emails in the early hours of the morning clearly their service centre is in China. If you want a product at a discounted rate from other main street retailers then choose TITB but you will not have any warranty if something goes wrong. Terrible customer service and they will blatantly lie about every - I posted this review before 10/9/19 but they asked me to delete it. Please see their email below “We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We have noticed that you placed a negative comment about us. We understand that as a loyal customer, when you make a purchase you expect to receive your product in a timely manner. We know that we have let you down, and for that we are very sorry. Please accept our apologies on behalf of TechintheBasket for the problems you've had and our thanks for taking the time to make us aware of this. Please be assured that we take letting down seriously and will use this information to make further improvements. Here we would like to cover the repair fee. Would you please eliminate the negative comment first? Once confirmed the comment has been deleted, we would arrange the repaired device to your address right away. Looking forward to hearing from you.” Phone was received but the camera didn’t work and the Phone wouldn’t accept my SIM card. Now they want another £120 to fix the phone which they couldn’t repair in the first place. Absolute disgrace. 24/10/19 - all new Apple iPhones have a 12 month warranty! You have just proved my point that you offer a shoddy repair service and make up anything to try and get the customer to pay. Apple have confirmed that if this was a UK phone then the phone would of been replaced. You’re selling cheap goods without valid warranties - I am now reporting you to trading standards UK.

I spent over £400 on a garmin sports watch, nearly 3 weeks after ordering the only thing i have received is an adapter plug.. no invoice paperwork nothing. I am now dealing with paypal who claim TIB have tracking info to say it was shipped, so right now I have a £400+ adapter plug, no sports watch, and I am now having to try and get my money back. They are a scam company stealing peoples money, at best fraudulent as all the products seem to come with far east origins rather than UK/Uk warranties etc as claimed.. Avoid at all costs !!!!!!!

I placed an order for Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus G9750 8GB Ram 128GB Rom Dual Sim - Prism Silver on 30th of July. The product came on 12th of August even though in their website it said 6-8 days delivery time. The product came in a sealed box and inside the phone was covered with film protectors on both sides (the Galaxy S10+ comes with a pre-installed screen protector). So I thought the product was brand new and was reluctant to the fact that there was a scratch on the right side edge of the front panel. I thought it was just a scratch on the screen protector but later I found out that the scratch was actually underneath the screen protector and they cleverly hid it with a new screen protector on top. It means the phone was used before and accidentaly got scratched and they sent me the faulty device to begin with. So I contacted their customer service sending them photos and videos of the scratch and they completely ignored the fact that they actually shipped a faulty product to me and said that the scratch was made by me. How can I scratch the screen underneath a screen protector? The phone itself came with a screen protector and the screen protector has no such scratches. They asked me to get it repaired by myself and offered no other assistance. This is completely unacceptable. To everyone looking forward to buying a product from techinthebasket be aware that even though you are getting a cheaper price, I bet your product will come with some sort of fault, either major or minor. If you are lucky then it would be unnoticeable. Sadly in my case I did not get so lucky as the scratch on the screen is fairly visible and the only way to resolve it into get the screen replaced which costs £239, roughly half of the price I had paid for the phone. Choose an authorized dealer instead of techinthebasket when purchasing your product and don't make the same mistake that I have made.

I've purchased a Samsung S8+ in 2017 for £540, had no problem with it, until I dropped it & smashed the screen. Samsung wouldn't repair as not UK version. Claimed on house insurance who paid out £575. Have since bought a Samsung S9+ & note, both arrived in approx 4 weeks. Have had no problems with any devices & saved hundreds of £'s in the meantime.

Stay away. Terrible company to deal with. They do not have a phone number you can ring them and they do not reply to any emails. I bought an item and it has been shipped 5 working days after by purchase even though I've cancelled my order through paypal. They say Item is shipped from UK but what they do is to buy it from China, wait until arrives in UK then ship it from Manchester to UK customer. You might pay a little more from a trustworthy source but its worth the piece of mind. Thankfully I've placed my order through Paypal and Amex so I have no doubt I'll get my money back.

I bought an action cam off them which turned out to have a defect. They initially said that it was a known problem but then flipped and said they would repair it. I sent it in and they sent it back saying there was nothing wrong. Now I was stuck, I had to prove the defect by getting an independent inspection which was going to be expensive. In the end I forgot about and was left with a faulty device. They just refused to do anything further. I would never buy anything from this retailer ever again.

*** I don't ever write reviews *** I bought an Iphone plus at £634 when it came I was excite to open a new phone and when I started unboxing it I couldn't find the sim insertion tool which was missing and I also found an AT&T sim inside clearly showing it was used phone and the charger was not UK. I was so disappointed thinking I will get a new phone, they asked me to send it back (at this point I was just feeling gutted) I spent a lot of time emailing customer service I had to pay the return postage £9.55 which they have not still refunded. Very bad experience.

I have ordered a phone and they wrote me that once my order is proceeded, it will take 5 working days to be delivered. TOPS. But what really happened: I made my order on 11.01, and on 19.01 my tracking number was still not active! I wrote them to ask why is it taking so long to get my phone and they answered that it is being prepared! It took them 4 more days to deliver it. I am not satisfied with their service at all! If I haven't reminded them that I am waiting probably I would never get my phone! A Feedback section is not available ot their site as well. Coincidence?! I'm really disappointed, because for this amount of money, I expect to get my things in time.
