“5 people died. The driver hit a tree. None of the doors could be opened due to the locks being engaged. They were trapped. The battery blew up and exploded into flames. The car was engulfed.
This happened in Verona,Wisconsin around Christmas 2024. The story was carried by all the local news outlets so it can be easily verified.”
“Tesla Safety Concerns: A Consumer Alert
This is a public service announcement regarding a concerning incident involving a 2020 Tesla Model 3. In Orlando last August, a minor fender bender between a Toyota Camry and a Tesla Model 3 resulted in less than $3,000 in damage to the Tesla's rear bumper.
However, the Tesla driver is now seeking $100,000 in damages for alleged bodily injuries. This disproportionate claim raises serious questions about the potential safety implications of the Tesla Model 3.
If a minor impact from a smaller vehicle can lead to such substantial injury claims, one must question the vehicle's structural integrity and occupant safety design.
This incident serves as a cautionary tale for potential Tesla buyers. Consider carefully the potential risks and financial liabilities associated with owning this vehicle.
Please share this information with other consumers to help raise awareness about this important safety concern.”
“Warning - terrible customer service and no protection in the uk
WARNING - Read this before buying a Tesla!
Such poor customer service. Poor build quality and not covered by the ombudsman. They can get away with what they like. Be warned
On 20 november 2024, i got in our model Y with my daughter. We had used the defrost function 5m or so before as the outside temperature was 0c. At the time, the inside temperature was 4c. About 10 seconds after getting in both our side windows shattered. We jumped out the car (it was pretty scary!) used another car and logged it with Tesla. The engineer came out 2 weeks later, reassured us it would be covered by warranty and repaired it. Unfortunately scratching the trim on both sides in the process.
To my surprise, a few days later Tesla said it wasn’t covered and took £550 off me for the repair! After some back and forth, it seems the windows had frozen in the mechanism and didnt come down enough so then shattered. This means the windows and window mechanism are unable to deal with 0c outside and 4c outside. Not exactly Siberia is it?
So apparently that is our fault. In their own instructions it gives no warnings of this. There are no warnings on the app or the car and no videos. They dont seem to care. They dont mind losing clients and dont make any commercial gestures.
Importantly though, they are NOT covered by the ombudsman. They can get away with what they like.
I paid a high price for the car, use the superchargers and pay them £10 a month subscription. When my car arrived a couple of years ago i got no guide or support, it was just left by the courrier who said “ not my job mate, just watch some videos”. We have had problem after problem and the most recent was a terrible leak in the front boot which left about 15 cms of water. When we picked the car up (after delays their end), the car wasn’t cleaned and was in a poor state. This is the service levels of a £50k plus car in their minds.
I will never buy another again. They have lost me. We dont pay all that money plus monthly subscriptions to be treated like that. I wish i had read a review like this before buying. It would have helped me stay well away. Buyer be warned!”
“I'll never use another Tesla product again in my life. I've used Tesla/Solar City solar panels on my home since late 2017. In mid-2024, my roof suffered extensive damage due to high winds and hail. So, I had Tesla remove my solar panels prior to the roof being repaired. It cost $1,640.00 to have Tesla remove my solar panels.
I was informed that the cost of $1,640.00 was the total cost to have the solar panels removed and replaced. But, after my solar panels had been removed, which was unavoidable, only then was I informed that it would cost me $4,160.00, out of pocket, to have the solar panels reinstalled on my roof. I find that to be deeply dishonest. It reminds me of what scam artists do.
Paying customers should be informed, up front, as to all costs incurred in a transaction. Tesla did not inform me of the total cost until after my solar panels had been removed.
Tesla lost a customer. For life.
By the way, since I had the solar panels installed, Solar City was bought out by Tesla, the customer service phone number ceased to exist, and all...ALL...communication with Tesla had to be done via an online chat through Tesla's website. That meant you had to be stuck at your desk, for upwards of half an hour, while the Tesla employee took minutes to respond to each inquiry I typed in. Now, even the website online chat is gone and a customer has to download a Tesla app onto his or her phone just to communicate with someone at the company, but still only via chat.
People use solar panels to save money. Tesla apparently doesn’t agree.”
“TESLA SALES SCAM - THEFT & DECEPTION
TESLA SALES & APP SCAMS
1. Attempted Conning into buying a knowingly damaged vehicle by Tesla Sales Advisors. Cleaning/damage marks pointed out. Told these were sorted and then when i checked and 3 were not, was told yes we knew that!
2. No communication during appointment or apology let alone offer of recompensation for wasted time, expense and effort. A drink was not even offered tho other customers were offered this.
3. False trade-in offer by Tesla to secure a deposit to then subsequently with exact same information reduce trade-in amount by £14,000!
4. Refusal to refund money! Sales advisors saying Tesla App and processes meant this not possible. Hiding behind the faceless system Tesla operates. Then when escalated to manager told it would take 2 weeks then no communication other than attempting to force buying a car.
5.5 emails and texts in 3 days asking for details of my refund. NO RESPONSE & WITHHOLDING £55K.
CRIMINAL ACTIONS OF THEFT & DECEPTION”
“Please do not buy the hype. This car needs a lot of maintenance. I am an actual owner! Contact me at LeaMeir a Yahoo account if you want to and I will provide with the service history.
Did you know that you are not supposed to use certain hair products if you buy this car? if not, be careful resting your head on the headrest! No kidding! do not believe me, It is in the User Manual. The leather in headrest would bubble and you have to replace if you do!!
Have you ever had to align the rear tires (not the front, the rear) every 6000 miles, even if the CAR IS NEW?? Well, you do for this car! Had to replace my rear tires after 13000 Miles!!!
Do not even get me started on the Cheap construction. In the first three months of owning this car, the body frame has come apart three times, the driver seat was dislocated and a whole bunch of other problems. Rained ONCE and we have to replace the tail lights because of the condensation that crept in!!!!
Complete disappointment. Specially since I love the company.”
“Shockingly bad technical and customer service received from Tesla Dartford (notwithstanding a friendly staff)
Sent my car for an MCU+Tuner upgrade, intermittent GPS and internet connectivity failure. This took them more than 4 working days and cost me £2450 :'( I had also asked for Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) assessment done which would have cost me additionally. Enquired at the time of leaving the car with them if anything inside (car seats, stuff etc) needs to be removed, was told it wasn't necessary. However, on getting back the car was informed NVH wasn't done because there was stuff inside the car, doh!
Brought the car home, the internet issue was fixed but GPS never worked at all. It's been 3 weeks since and it still shows the car location at the service centre :(
The Sentry mode was supposed to start recording videos as a result of the MCU upgrade, but never worked. Displays 'saving video' message but when checking out the videos shows no videos found, what a dud!
I wasn't offered a courtesy car even though my car is under extended warranty (£3.4K from Tesla). Apparently only the original warranty covers courtesy car, nice! On top of that, each time I talk to the service guys I have to remind them that the car is under extended warranty as their system has no clue about it despite purchasing the Helvetica warranty through the Tesla site!!
Now I have to take the car back in for them to fix the GPS and Sentry Dashcam issue which happened as a result of them doing a half-arsed job in the first place and lo and behold I wouldn't get a courtesy car. Why? Because according to Tesla I don't even have a warranty, forget about paying £3.4K for the extended warranty through the Tesla site.
It's all the customers' fault- we purchased their cars without reading their service reviews on here!!!

“I am mighty upset and insulted by Tesla!
You offer now the model Y at $47,000 quoting £35,489 in posts. Yet I ordered in UK Model 3 based on the launch advertised price of $35,000, but now you suddenly without reason or regret try charging me £42,000 ie $54,600 for base model? Why you think it is ok to advertise like this falsely then add on $20,000 to that agreed? You insult my intelligence Tesla! I've cancelled, you broke the deal Tesla, and others should do the same and CANCEL!
Cool car, but v.poor integrity towards customers!”
“The worst customer service I've experienced to date with any company to date. Avoid at all costs and take your Tesla anywhere but here. Gave a car out from their service centre claiming it had sufficient charge to get to our destination to then break down on the M25 in the snow. Having called them we were told that they would not offer any roadside assistance or support. We were then to recover the vehicle ourselves. Now to be told that only Tesla can open the Charge point but refuse to come and open it for us. Left with a £65,000 statue and no solution. Appauling”
