“We love your chile and have been ordering more and more this year. This year's shipment was a little less satisfying. The Chile arrived on time based on a 2-day delivery schedule. We're used to close to 100% fresh chile. Across all 5 boxes, we had more spoiled pods than years past. Probably 5 pounds were spoiled out of 125 total pounds. There were a lot of Chile that had the beginning or had tip rot. We saved those Chiles and roasted them anyway. Last, the last box we roasted, the Chile's were rather small for Big Jims. Tasting these small ones we noticed they were consistently hotter and the larger Big Jims which do vary in heat. Questioning if we received a box of Sandia by mistake. Anyway, love Hatch Chile store and will continue to order from you!”

“The chili was picked on Tuesday morning and it was received in great condition Wednesday by 5pm on the East Coast! The heat was spot on and the flavor even better. I typically bring chili back when visiting NM but this is a great option even though the price is higher. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a true NM Hatch chili experience!!!”

“My chiles arrived a day later then originally scheduled. No fault of the Hatch Chile Store and the delay lies with the UPS. Fortunately, all chiles survived the trip. Four pounds didn't last long though ( weren't they sold by the 5 lb amount in previous years?). What was supposed to be made into chile sauce and frozen instead got made, along with some delicious Maryland tomatoes, into a couple batches of salsa and quickly devoured. So, I don't know, I'm kind of on the fence. I love green chiles but this was the second shipping mishap I've experienced and the pricing is getting to be a little much for me. We'll see...”

“search the world over and return to Hatch Chile Store for the very best. hot, chopped is my fave rave. while I recommend the medium and mild too if that's your taste. Savor. Enjoy. Salsa, soup. with pinto beans, enchiladas. Yum. And their rellenos are another wonderful delight. Thanks, again.”

“I order about every other year between 50-75 pounds of Hatch Valley green chili's. These are the only chili's I will use. We have them shipped raw and today them ourselves, then I can them and we can enjoy them throughout the year to two years. I honestly can't say enough about the freshness and flavor that they add to all of the foods I add them to. We lived in Las Cruces many years ago. We tried other chili's that were available in our area but nothing could compare to these chili's from Hatch Valley. We were so happy to find out that we could have them shipped to Tennessee. We order these whenever we start to run low and know it's close to chile season. We are truly addicted to these chili's.”

“I've been ordering from the Hatch Chile Store for years, and this year's delivery (50 pounds of medium) might be the best yet. Chile arrived in excellent condition, with fewer than 10 pods starting to go bad. They roasted up beautifully. Thanks for another great year of chile!”

“This years medium is very disappointing. No heat and little flavor. We have tried 3 different recipes with the same result. Honestly this is the first year we are let down. We have used their products for almost 40 years.”

“I love getting hatch chilies from your farm because I know they are REALLY the ones I asked for. My husband doesn't like hot foods so when I request mild chilies I know they are always mild. If I purchase them in the store they may or may not actually be marked accurately. He made a chili roaster and makes the best roasted chilies for a dish I call Mexican Lasagna.”

“I just wanted to let you know that the mild chile arrived quickly and in good shape. We had some bad weather here in Wisconsin so I ended up roasting the pods in my oven. The curled chile will end up as strips or chopped and the flat ones are destined to be rellenos. I roasted in batches a 400 F for about 25 min per batch. Flipped the one or twice as needed. They got plunged into an ice-water bath before I peeled them. The thick skins mostly slipped off with ease. I only mangled 5 pods in the 12 lb shipment. The results are fabulous. Meaty peppers and the taste of New Mexico. I am a happy fellow. Thanks! Michael Reed”

“My order for both frozen and fresh chile was made on June 21, the money was deducted from my account on June 22. I didn't hear anything from them until I called about a month later. They said they would check on it. I finally received the frozen portion on Aug 10 the on Aug 18 I received the fresh portion. The chilies have great flavor but there was moderate spoilage. The overall experience was not what I had experienced on previous order.”

“For the Love of Hatch! I received my 50 pounds and only one Chile was soggy and thrown away. It took me two days to roast under my oven broiler. They are the quintessential chili of all chilies. I will be ordering a 25 pound of red today.”
