“My credit card was charged 14.95/month for unauthorized payments to a company called Thompson Co./ Total Values Plus. After 7 unauthorized charges, I contacted THOMPSON Co/TVPdemanding full refund, involvement with my bank, credit card company and informing state and local agencies as well as informing, educating and influencing victims, potential victims and consumers of these fraudulent practices of Thompson Cigar/TVP. I was refunded all money back my my CC.”

“I had problems with an order and submitted a support message through their website regarding this order and did not receive a reply after four business days. Not good customer service and it seems their 100% satisfaction guarantee is a myth. The order arrived damaged. The shipping box was torn and the inside box containing the item ordered was open and the cigars were loose in the shipping box. Also, the cigars were very dry, and the included lighter does not hold butane. I emailed their customer service and again did not receive a reply.”

“Same thing happened with me with Thompson cigars enrolling me in a Value Plus membership that has no benefits then charged my card for 14.95 month later. Called to cancel and complain but it goes to a call center (India presumably) and then they tried to keep me as a member by reducing the monthly cost to 9.95 a month, ridiculous! As I never knowingly agreed for this “service” in the first place. Call taker stated that I received an email ref the enrollment which I did not as I didn’t even know my “member number”. This is obviously a big scam and will never buy from them again. All Online cigar buyers BEWARE!”

“They suck very poor customer service wasted over 30 minutes on hold when they fucked up ky order then another 15 minutes wasted on the person from india trying to fix my order then i have to drive 3p minutes to a post office for a return they screwed up , there insult of an offer to fix it was 20. Dollars off my next purchase i said dont bother there wont be a next purchase DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING HERE”

“I've never bought anything from Thompson Cigar until recently when I received something in the mail. $30 for 12 cigars. 2 of the 12 I've had before and are some of my favorites, so if nothing else it was worth it to me. The order came sooner than expected and included an entire humidor box, a humidifier, cigar cutter, cigar lighter, and a ton of coupons. The packaging was well cared for too. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. 5 out of 5 from me. I'll definitely buy from Thompson Cigar again!”

“Not only do their cigars break and come apart while smoking, but they send you the wrong thing. I ordered one thing and got something totally wrong. Calling them on the phone takes a long time. It’s a waste of time dealing with them and you don’t know what you’re getting when placing an order.”

“I purchased from Thompson Cigar in the past. They have now come up with a new company Total Values Plus which says it is a third party company but billing is done by Thompson. They bill you $14.95 monthly charge weeks after your purchase and it is non refundable. Obviously they are desperate for money. Keep the $14.95 and you lost a long standing customer.”

“This company is a Scam! I have never done any business let alone heard of them until they unauthorized hacked into my PayPal and depleted my account of all my money taking out increments of $125 15+ times. NEVER DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THOMPSON CIGAR”

“Was entered in their "Value Club" for $14.95 / month when I placed an order. I do not recall signing up for this. Looks like a total scam. Hopefully they will refund my money. Will never buy from Thompson again.”

“If you buy from Thompsons, spent the couple of extra dollars for quick shipping. Their ecomony shipping SUCKS! Poor management. If I was Thompson, I would not even have that listed. they claim they ship fresh cigars. Yet the have economy shipping which now I was told is 8 to 12 days. (3rd time). Then the shipping geniuses at UPS and USPS.....The cigars wer shipped to a facility in the next town over.....then shipped to Missouri....then back to my home town.....then back out to some UPS facility. I still did not receive my order. Sh*t show of shipping.”

“Placed an order for my dad's retirement celebration. After the delivery date passed with no updates, I finally contacted their customer support chat and they said they were holding the order until I called them to verify my information. I asked what information they needed and he couldn't tell me unless I called them. I just had them cancel my order. Not worth the headache of dealing with them.”

“Have purchased from them before with no real issues. Last time the order never arrived. Emailed Customer Service with order number and receipt from PayPal to prove I ordered and that they took my money. They always say there is no such order number and they cannot help. After three attempts to get resolved I gave up and PayPal refunded my money. Will never use them again. Their service is a joke.”

“CSR constantly tell lies to amuse you with absolutely no intention of honoring their word. This is constantly, I can't remember a time when I wasn't lied to aboutnot having to sens a damaged item back, to being told that I'd be given a full refund when in all actuality, I was give a partial due to no fault of my own.”

“Order #1025063917 First time costumer, decided to give it a try. Never again. Combo deal came with a completely different than advertised humidor and a fuel can that they offered me without mentioning it was a 0.6 worthless free sample size. Explanation given: "Sometimes when we dont have the item your purchased in stock, we'll send you something else". No warning. Way to attract new custumers. Scammers.”

“I have bought cigars from a lot of online shops and Thompson Cigars is by far the worst in terms or customer service. We got my account locked for no explanation and they refused to ship my order even after taking my money. I called their customer service to ask for a refund and they told me to dispute the charge through my bank which will take up to 45 days. I have reported them to BBB. Stay away from them. It’s not worth the headache.”

“Very inconsistent cigars quality.. some bundles are just fine, others are really bad made. And the worst is the shipping companies that they used... USPS take forever, for what I paid I can get USPS 2nd day shipping, sometime I need to wait 7 days before getting the order...”

“I have ordered cigars from Thompson cigars for years. However, recently when I order a product that says it is stock, but really isn’t, they send me whatever they have in inventory. I like Connecticut wrappers, but they sent a darker cigar that I don’t care for. I have never written a bad review before, but I can’t take it anymore.”
