I bought a pair of Timberland's yellow boots and after three months (non-daily use) the inside of the heel had worn out and gotten holes in it. After raising this with their customer service, they denied me warranty and claimed this to be regular wear and tear. As a company marketing themselves on durability, quality and sustainability, telling me that 3 months is regular wear and tear on a shoe is unacceptable. It is clear the fabrics used for the shoe in a highly abrasive area where you slip in and out of the boot have been downgraded likely to save money on a product that then becomes unusable as it will cause discomfort and blister on the heel walking. The life span of a boot that costs £190 should not be 3 months! It is a waste of money and resources resulting in even more fast fashion which Timberland falsely claims to be fighting. It is disappointing to yet see this highly reputable brand sell out their customers for money when refunding me for their poor quality product would have made not even a dent in their profits.

Submitted claim for faulty boots, as heel area on sole worn through to holes after 6 months of light use. Within a couple of hours I had received a reply confirming that Timberlands 'warranty experts!!!!!' had deemed the premature excessive wear to be down to wear and tear and possible misuse and certainly NOT a issue with manufacturing or use of sub-standard materials. Contacted customer service again stating that I wanted to escalate my claim directly with the warranty team and also requested contact details for the 'Head of warranty uk' to which I got a reply stating that there decision was final and that was the end of the matter. No reply from customer service regarding the contact details i had requested. Absolutely shocking customer service. Best advice, would be to purchase a cheaper competing brand elsewhere for most likely a better price, with undoubtedly better customer service. Timberland are undoubtedly manufacturing boots with substandard materials that are unfit for purpose. My previous pair of boots lasted 7 years until succumbing to the same issue of sole wearing through to holes, compared to 6 months this time. Beware, Timberland may try to state that some materials now being incorporated into their footwear, have been manufactured from recyclable materials which may be slightly less hard wearing. My advice is to shop around, as there are some really good newer manufacturers beginning to release similar items.

Never Buy Timberland online. Placed an order for 2 items youth size 13 and a men’s size 13 classic boot . Only received the youth’s pair and was told both items were shipped in the same box . The box was small only could fit the youth size . No men’s boot in there . Called Timberland had rude customer service was told the shoes are in the box dispute with your bank . Terrible it’s Christmas time and I paid an extra 17.99 for express shipping. Never buying from them again

I am very disappointed with this company. After only a short period of wear, the shoes were damaged. The company denies any fault on their part and refuses to accept any complaints. Their return policy is child-unfriendly and shows a complete lack of understanding or willingness to accommodate customers.

I have bought several pairs of boots from this company on line. Ordering is so easy and simple. Every step from ordering, dispatching,on route,to delivery is exceptional. At every stage you get an email. Returning is simple and easy. Cannot rate this company high enough.

I will never buy from Timberland again. They couldn't get my order to me for ages. Yodel messed up. They had my money for four weeks and no goods. Rang up over ten times to find out when my order would be delivered to the local pickup store. Seriously, they said that they if I buy again I'll get discount. What do you think that I would subject myself to that again. Nice gesture but not good customer service. Very disappointed. Had to buy a back up pair of shoes for New job as these just didn't arrive. Still waiting now since 17 July 2023

I brought a pair of blue boots for my son they were waterproof. In wet weather they turned his feet sore, blue and his hands when taking them off took days to come off. Customer service took weeks to sort anything out Even a doctors note. In the end they gave me a promotional code for £25. What am I gonna buy on the website £25 safety say I will not be buying any more of the products.

Had a terrible experience both with the item and the customer service. I bought a pair of Timberland boots (a fancy design with blue collar, not the classic ones) back in February and since the very first day, the collar is leaving my ankles swollen and purple. I thought I had to get use to them and with the use they would become more comfortable... My mistake. After a month, the boot just become even more unwearable. I contacted customer service and after a lot of back and forth of emails, they decided not to refund me the money nor to send me a new pair, nor a voucher... I was looking for any solution to get my pair of boots, as this was a failure from factory. I was a regular Timberland customer and they definitely lost a customer!

Clear Discrimination Visited Timberland Cheshire oaks store on 24/09/22 at 2pm. Never seen a bad service like this ever before. Was waiting at the checkout while no staff was around. I was the first one in the queue with 4 shoe boxes in my hand. Two Staff members came through the store’s back entrance. One of them came to the till where I was standing and completely ignored me, looked across and asked the other guy standing behind me, “were you waiting here first?” And I was standing there thinking it’s my brown race she didn’t want to serve. Clearly I was standing first in the line. She opened the next till and started serving whoever was behind me. I stood there for a while as I was stunned by her shocking service and many others joined the queue on her till. I was standing at the very first till from the left and had to join the queue mins later; hence her other staff member opened the third till at the same time (closer to the store’s back entrance). When I was right behind the queue she announced her another store member to open the till I was initially standing on. The staff member served us was nice and polite. However I felt dishonoured in the store overall. I thought you get served on first come first serve basis. I will check my receipt and leave the lovely staff member’s name who served me. Just checked the receipt store ID 53. Cashier no.3 Sales Person No. 708815

I bought my boots. Wore them once they hurt my pinky toe bad! Took them to store I bought them at, was told to contact customer service for full refund. Customer service said I have to do it in store. The store refused to refund, saying the timberland company said not to refund any boots, that it has to go through website for refund. Now I am stuck with $160 boots I can't wear, because I trusted timberland with there warranty and refund policy! I'll never buy again!

I bought MT Maddsen women's hiking boots for work and hiking. They are uncomfortable, had to buy inserts, not warm. And then found out them to not be waterproof during rain. Tried to return them 10mo old, and after much effort Timberland denied my claim. So glad I spent $ 90 on fashion boots to wear in pleasant weather.

Bought a pair of 6" Premium boots and whilst the leather they're made from is upple and sturdy the cuffs of the boots ar a joke, if a butterfly flaps its wings near them the black colour comes off leaving white patch that have to be covered up again with black boot polish, very disappointed considering the nearly 200gbp price tag that cuff should be leather not some crappy fragile fabric..

I've owned Timberland boots since purchasing my first pair in 1996; a pair that I had refurbished (I think twice) in the Regent Street store. Well made and dependable and ideal for dog walking across fields and moorland. Unfortunately, recent experience suggests that the boots are no longer a quality item although they are still sold at a premium price. From my email record (18 Mar 19 6" Boot water Men Navy £90). The sole of this boot fell to pieces in just over a year. Waterproof Premium 6" Boot Yellow £180 purchased as a replacement (no details regarding the date of purchase visible in my on-line account but ~ September 20). The right boot is not waterproof and my socks are damp after walking less than 1/4 mile on wet pavements i.e. not even on tracks, across fields, through mud etc. I have over 30 years of continuous military service and I know how to look after a pair of boots and determine if a boot isn't waterproof. The difference in workmanship between my 1996 boot and the 2020 Premium 6" Waterproof is astonishing. I suspect that Timberland have outsourced manufacturing to China (or a similar cheap manufacturing base) and really don't give a hoot about quality control. Despite this they're charging premium prices for very poor quality footwear that's suitable for wearing out shopping but completely unsuited to anything that involves wet foot paths, grass and fields. In terms of value for money and quality I'd rate them as deserving zero stars. If you're wanting a pair of decent boots look elsewhere unless you're intent of being overcharged for a poorly made fashion statement.
