“If I can give 0 I would. Had my car key for the last 4 weeks. and still not fixed. The South Ruislip Timpson in Sainsbury has no system and do not care. No details or phone number of customers to let them know what is happening and also for staff who are covering. The car key was thrown under the table in a box without any notes. The customer service is untrained and talk as if we had to be patient for months. Then they say I had to pay as they are doing a ser. This is their service!!!”

“Went to timpson at Aylesbury Tesco to get spare key for my new front door,was told it would take a few days gave them the serial number paid £35, never got a phone call went back following saturday the order had not be placed 2 weeks later i got a call picked the key up told them there sevice aws s...t and would never use them again.We needed another key my wife went to a lock and key company they charged £10 and the key was done there on the spot. Timpson customers beware a bit of a rip off i thinks.”

“Took my watch to Timpson, Carmarthen for a new battery. The guy said, "I can tell from the way the second hand is moving that it's not the battery but the movement. I'll have to send it away for repair and it will cost about £80". I declined, and took it to a local jeweller who changed the battery for £10. The watch has worked perfectly since. Was the guy a horologist or a cobbler?”

“Been use Timpson Edgbaston Morrison dry cleaning few years. couple times hard gelatinous mark been found on cloth after wash. i am not a fussy person and never go back to question them what is it until couple weeks ago my jumper been found a big hole on it after wash. report on line next day and been told need to speak to the shop manager. bring in the jumper and she first respond is: that won't be cause by us, not even apologize. then they went through their own investigate report. result is the damage can be caused by a sharp object but because no other cloth in the cleaning load had no damage so it is not possible for this one ??? how about by staff negligence on my jumpers only? the report result is by insect damage like larvae of the clothes moth. which is ridicules. i have been sent in 5 clothes to wash and only this been insect damage? i have hundreds cloth hang together in same wardrobe and never had any mark of insect on any of them. only because you can't find the reason so insect damage by customer will be the easiest way to explain and no responsibility on your side? the damage is so obviously cause by a sharp object and the store still use majority wired hunger with a sharp head. the cloth has been checked one by one on counter when receive. on return no one check with you on counter and all been put in a requested non-transparent bag. it is a valuable pure cashmere jumper and new only 1 year from purchase. i will tell everyone i know to avoid us Timpson dry wash and will never go back again.”

“I made the mistake of buying two Timpson's watch battery lifetime guarantees. Both guarantees cost just under £25 each. One watch I bought the guarantee for was old and turned out to have a fault and the other watch also has a fault so neither watch can be used. The moral of the story is beware of buying this guarantee if your watch is not going to last long enough to get your money's worth out of the guarantee.”

“took my sketchers trainers into shop wanted my insoles stuck back in was told didnt have any glue to stick them and man wasn,t interested have since stuck them with gorrilla glue so very poor service . Shop was outside Tesco in Sudbury Suffolk.”

“If you have a complaint about being treated rudely by Timpsons staff, don't bother to even try to complain. They don't want to know. They'll just keep passing the buck and then turn it round on you. It is the most disgusting company as regards customer service you will ever encounter. They do not give a damn.”

“Again, like many others I got ripped off by Timpsons in Bristol Clifton down. I was quoted £25.00 for phone battery and was charged £50.00. I was rudley told that they saw the wrong price at the time and that no one wants to do old phones like mine and that I was lucky they did it for me. Ripped off and humiliated. Rip off & rude staff. Never again”

“This company seems to be experts in employing the most rude staff I've ever encountered and when you try to make a complaint to head office so called customer services they do nothing but fob you off & treat you like you are the wrong doer. They don't want to know. Total disgrace. Avoid at all costs.”

“I phoned Timpson to enquire about a glass replacement for my watch. First off, the assistant seemed to be a little reticent. After some moments of thought they gave me a price. £45!!! Now if this had been a watch of considerable value then yes. But for an everyday, “cheap” timepiece, then NO! These prices are extortionate! I’ll never enquire about anything that Timpson trades with again. CROOKS!!!”

“I researched the cost of replacing the broken key online and realised that there was a part I could change myself if the part was available. I could not find the part so I went to Timpson Key and locksmiths at Park Farm Ashford. The guy quoted me up to £200 to replace the fob and reprogramme the key. I explained that it only needed a part replaced, but he insisted that it would cost about £200. He was very unhelpful so I told him I would do it myself. I eventually got the part, replaced the damaged key blade holder and now the key works perfectly. It cost me less than £15 to do it myself. I would advise anyone who has a broken or faulty Car Ignition Key Fob problem to research online first and avoid being ripped off by Timpsons and Fords.”

“I went in to get my watch battery changed, costing me £25. For this I thought I would at least get a professional service. They sadly managed to break the bolt that holds the metal strap together. Accidents happen, I get that and the chap was apologetic. Fast forward to numerous wasted visits back to the shop over 2 months as they repeatedly lied about 'ordering the part' (it was a simple bolt!) and I turned up only to be told they couldn't find it.... I was then informed it was 'ready to collect', yet when I put it on my wrist (still in the shop) the bolt fell apart again. They only repaired it when I complained to their head office and still have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. Pretty dire.”

“I went into Timpson with my shoes the man said he couldn’t heel them while I waited ( even tho he was just sitting there ) they would be ready later in the afternoon. I couldn’t get back that afternoon so I went on the Thursday morning to find a notice on the shutter saying it broken and the shop wasn’t open. I phoned the number on the wall twice that day asking them to ring me. It’s now Friday no phone call. Never will I take anything else their again. I have to get a train to where the shop is. It would be nice to know when it’s going to be open. I needed the shoes the Thursday that. I went there. Never again.”

“I paid £17.99 for shoe repair in Romford arcade & was very dissatisfied & disappointed. Should have gone to a small business that would have done a better job and half the price !! The Finnish was tatty & glue not wiped off so bubble - would not use again. I will go to the small shoe repair outside Leytonstone station!!! Much better workmanship for £17.99 4/10”
