Ordered an item on line for a birthday present. The item didn't turn up on the date it was supposed to so therefore i had to go out and purchase a new birthday present. I received an email about a week after the due delivery date stating that the order had been lost at the couriers and there was no more available. I then sent an email complaining about this to which i have not received any correspondence what so ever from them and it is now a week on from me sending so i am very disappointed. It would not have been too difficult for them to apologise for their error not mine. Paul

Bought a halogen cooker and a slow cooker of ur website when they turned up halogen cooker was fine slow cooker broke tried ringing and getting no reply

It was awful I ordered two pairs of jeans and they didn't arrive. Phoned customer service who were no help at all. The whole service is terrible and I will be letting my friends and family know about the poor service. My family will not be shopping with your company anymore

Hi Deborah, Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for the feedback you have provided. We have reviewed your order and can see that it was dispatched from our warehouse within 48 hours of the order being placed and delivered in a timely manner. Upon reviewing your conversations with the Customer Service Team we can conclude that the disappointment caused was due to the Team not responding promptly to your email regarding the failed collection of the faulty item (to facilitate a replacement) – for this we would like to apologise sincerely. We have checked our system and can see that the replacement item was successfully dispatched 9 days after the original order was placed. I ordered wrangler denims and wrong ones arrived. as promised the girl took a new order for them and sent me returns label to return wrong item. on receiving new item it wasn't ones I wanted either but couldn't be bothered with all the hassle of returning them so just kept them. when you order an item you should get the one you want first time not the third had I returned the second wrong lot. if id wanted stretch denims I would have purchased them in the store but due to the store not having ones I wanted I decided to order online which I wont be doing again. customer service agent I spoke to was really good but unfortunately warehouse staff sent out wrong item twice which is very poor service from my point of view

Every time a new brochure comes out with daily news paper go on line to order items from brochure only to find they are never in stock, so please either only put items in brochure that you have to sell or stop causing trees to be chopped down.

Order 8 items. 3-5 days delivery promised. 2 items arrived promptly. Phoned 10 days later to enquire about the rest. Been told they are locating stock. Finally " shepheard light" arrived- only 1- not 2 as ordered. It was broken and incomplete. Shocking packaging to. Phoned up again. Was told to repack and take it to post office- the only option. I shop on-line to spare myself going to shops or post office. However - done that. Waited some more fore the rest to no avail. E-mail TJ Hughes to cancel the order. No reply. 4 more items arrived later. The "shepheard light" , as before, incomplete, 1 crook missing. 2 more items still not here. E-mail again about cancelling order for full refund. Heard noting as yet. Off to the post office once more to returned the rest. Help. Everyone- never ever shop at TJ Hughes.

We have a variety of returns method dependent on the size/ weight of your product and allocate the returns method to match these dimensions. OMG I have never had such a bad online shopping experience . I placed two orders, the first for underwear which arrived with the security tags still attached. The package included a returns slip with a number to contact the Customer Service Team on 0845 605 1912 ( a discontinued number) After time spent trying other numbers and contacting my nearest store ( a 40 minute drive from my home) I was told to use a strong magnet!! My daughter eventually prised off the tags with a hammer and pliers. My second order placed on the same day was for an aluminium blind. It was delivered but it was bent. I was handed the package and pointed this out to the driver of the delivery van, who walked away and drove off!! On opening the package the blind was indeed bent and the same slip was enclosed to report any problems. I googled a contact number 0844 576 0272 and found a very pleasant and sympathetic woman who undertook to speak to the dispatch team re the removal of tags and to follow up the problems concerning the discontinued telephone number on enclosed slips. She confirmed my home address and arranged with me for the item to be collected the following day between 09.00 and 1900hrs. The package was not collected. Upon checking my emails I found one informing me that the collection van was on its way and another stating the collection request was cancelled because they were unable to collect the item. I live in Essex. They went to an address in Middlesbrough ??? I called the friendly voice again and explained what happened, she apologised and arranged for the collection to be made today. It is now after 1900hrs and no sign of a van. However, I received an email last night telling me that the Lewis Home Retail Group has given me a PARTIAL REFUND for my purchase of a useless blind. HOW KIND OF THEM TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF THE REFUND TO TAKE ACCOUNT OF THE INCONVENIENCE TO ME FOR PLACING AN ORDER. WELL DONE T J HUGHES !!!!!

i ordered a 2 seater garden bench paid for it and i was given a delivery date, that date came and no delivery took place. I spoke to Tj Hughes a new date was given for delivery, once again the bench never arrived. spoke to Tj Hughes again and another delivery date was given, once again the bench never arrived. the amount of time wasted waiting for it to arrive and on the telephone chasing the delivery was so annoying in the end i cancelled the order and requested a refund, needless to say i wont be using Tj Hughes again.

E mailed customers services with a query reference an over payment as my bank was charged twice. Nine days have passed and i had an email eventually telling me i was not overcharged. Contacted customer services put on hold then was informed that the person i need to speak to is out of the office and was promised he will email me back with information. Again no answer and still £48.90 out of pocket. Very reluctant to use TJ Hughes again. Still want my refund help!!!!!!

I placed an order for items that were in stock on 27 Sep. I received an E mail on 28 Sep to say items were dispatched for delivery. To date, over 7 days later no items have arrived, I have sent an e mail to customer services with no reply, you cannot speak to customer services which in itself is a joke. I have called a store for advice that cost me money on an 0844 number, I was given an e mail address for a customer services manageress, to which I sent an e mail requesting a delivery update and guess what no reply. As a professional company your customer relations need to be seriously improved, or you will lose all customer confidence. I can accept things can go wrong on deliveries, but to not be able to get any correspondence with anyone is totally unacceptable. I would be grateful if you can, by return explain some of these issues
