Here at TourRadar, we pride ourselves on no booking fees and also try to do everything we can to help minimise any fees our customers might incur from their banks. One of the ways we do this is by charging customers in their local currency where possible - We set up bookings in some of the most widely used currencies in the travel industry including USD, AUD, NZD, CAD, GPB, EUR, and INR. From our understanding, banks usually charge customers an exchange rate for purchases in a foreign currency. It seems your bank provided a less-than-ideal exchange rate since your account was not one of the six currencies mentioned above. I was in a terrible dilemma! The safari tour I was going to book had been canceled; I'd already booked my flights and had a limited time in Kenya/Tanzania. What to do! All the "big name" tour companies were either too expensive or their departure dates and length of their tours didn't fit into my time frame. When I discovered TourRadar, I was saved! There were a whole lot more tour operators (including the "big names") that I couldn't find on my own. Problem solved! I found a safari that fitted my budget and duration. TourRadar claims that they have vetted the operators that they have on their website. I can also pay in A$, so there are no problems with currency exchange fees on my credit card. My tour is a couple of months away, so stay tuned on the standard of the tour and the operator.

Replies to my questions were quick and friendly. However my questions were not answered completely and to my satisfaction. I was bounced from one agent to another and asked several times which tour I was interested in when I had clearly stated it at least twice earlier in our communications, which apparently had not been read. Frustrated, I booked my tour without adequate information, with the hope that the tour provider, Stray, will do a better job.

I had questions about the tour river cruise I was interested in... I received a reply within half an hour and the result is I got the deal I wanted plus the TourRadar discount on top... wonderful service.

Waited over 30 minutes on hold for agent one time 15 minutes another never got anyone. Went ahead and booked did not know I need a passport until got email. Call back in early morning got person who helped me

Tour Radar makes it very easy to book. Their comprehensive web site is very user-friendly and if you need or want to talk with someone.....the person on the other end is always really helpful and very friendly. I always book my tours through Tour Radar.

No dramas with booking experience, I'm still waiting for the booking to be confirmed by the actual tour company though which means I can't book flights/rest of the trip yet. Hopefully they won't take too long to confirm.
