When I tried to book my trip my credit card wasn't accepted. Knowing that this wasn't possible, I contacted the Chat line operator who would only tell me that the problem was with Visa and would not give any details other than to say that your Head Office was in Vienna and it was closed at this time and that I needed to contact Visa. I started to wonder it your company was a scam because I had never experienced not being able to pay for something because a Head Office was closed so I called Visa and they said the problem was at your end (Tourradar) and that my Visa should be accepted but they couldn't give me any details other than to say that maybe Visa had had problems with your company in the past. I was able to book the trip after my phone call to Visa but then wondered if maybe my payment had been blocked because Tourradar was financially unstable. I spent a restless night worrying that I might lose my deposit and wondered if you took the rest of my payment in June, was Tourradar having financial difficult. Surely there must be a better way to have handled this situation? This morning I received an email from Overland Tour Company so I am somewhat confident that the trip will go as planned (I hope).

To clarify, we use a European-based credit card provider, so your bank was probably just blocking your payment from going through. While it can be a bit frustrating, this is mainly your bank's way of protecting you. For this reason, we always ask travellers to first reach out to their bank to whitelist payments made to TourRadar GmbH in Vienna, Austria. That being said, we’re delighted to see you now have a confirmed booking with Overland Ireland. It seems like your bank has released the block on your card shortly after your call. The booking was easy and I got excellent help on the phone. However, when a complication arose a couple of terms were not well explained in the messages (i.e. "on request" and "Lares Trek" option. The 1st was explained well on the phone and the 2nd was included in a later attachment so I finally understood.

When passengers return from a tour, we additionally send out a second review request specifically asking for a review of the actual tour operator their services, and these reviews then get published to the specific tour page for the tour that you went on. Unable to find an agent in Australia for our preferred Mexico tour we found Tourradar was able to do it for us very easily and at a good price.

I was really excited to find a resource that consolidates tours and allows users to search/filter for the best fit. However, I found the FAQs and supporting information for payments and purchases to be woefully lacking. No where on the site did it mention that payments would be considered foreign transactions. Thus, I used my preferred travel rewards card for my tour deposit only to get slapped with $22.29 in foreign transaction fees. An unpleasant discovery that, quite frankly, has severely soured my opinion of the service a bit. This information should be clearly stated and available on the site. That's just common sense for a positive user experience.

Hi,  This isn't booking experience But I'm so frustrated nd disappointed with this trip that I have to share. I'm on my 1st day of Sapa 3D2N tour with VietnamTraveltop.com. 1 -Leo, my travel agent  contacted me about my pick up being 630am. The driver showed up at 7am to my hotel. 2- When I got off the bus at Sapa I was left there not being informed or contacted about where I need to be. All other bus passengers left the station. I called and texted my agent Leo, no answer. I called the tour company, the number didn't  work. Finally someone showed up pick me up in his scooter and took me to the hotel but couldn't speak English to answer where my tour guide was. 3- I was put in the 2hr walk tour with 2 people from Hanoi who didnt speak English. The tour guide's English was quite limited that I couldn't understand half of it. 4- I was put in this hotel that there is hardly any guests that I saw and no staffs I could talk to. I was served lunch and dinner in a completely empty hotel restaurant without being asked what I want to eat or offered a menu. There is no group social in the evening that I read on itinerary. 5- It's 1155pm now and there is very loud music playing right next to this hotel that my ear plugs are not helping. I tried to call the front desk but the phone doesn't work. Please explain where or if there is a tour guide for this trip. The tour "agent " finally texted me back but he is in Thailand. Unfortunately I can not understand him without clarifying multiple times due to a language barrier. So far this is NOT an international English speaking group tour you advertised in the itinerary I paid for. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
