Don't believe in price adjustments, in which prices vary sporadically. Implement price adjustments. Best Match price is a joke!

Hi there, Thanks for your review. At TourRadar we do offer the best price guarantee. We add on TourRadar members savings to every booking and if you find the same tour on another site for a cheaper price we will match this! However, Once you have a booking, your price is locked in and we cannot retroactively apply a sale deal to a tour that has already been booked and confirmed. It's not dissimilar to the airline industry, where it is also not uncommon to see a price change after you booked your flight. We have had a look and can see that once you placed your booking, due to age restrictions set by the tour operator, they required you to fill out a form to finalize a few details before confirming your booking. I found a TourRadar website that advertised my chosen tour for a set price, no “from” or date restrictions. When I copied and forwarded to the TourRadar employee I was chatting with, she finally believed me. I thought this was false advertising as the price was quite a bit less than she quoted. In the end she provided me with a discount code (time sensitive) and I booked our tour. However, again the touris advertised ‘from Spain ‘ but it actually begins in Tangier. Need to clean up this as it is definitely misleading!

Hello Madeline, Thank you for your feedback. We have looked into the point you've raised and you're correct, the ad you saw online did state the lowest tour departure price for the tour you booked. When you click through to the tour page, there is a departure bookable at that price. Similar to flight prices, tour prices fluctuate depending on the date you want to travel. These prices are clearly displayed in the availability section of every tour page on TourRadar.com. The title of the tour you have booked indeed mentions "from Spain". This is the tour operator's name for the tour, which begins at the ferry port in Tangier, where ferries from Spain arrive. All of the tour details on TourRadar, and also the itinerary, explain the tour begins in Tangier, but based on your feedback, we'll be happy to discuss how the tour is named, with the operator of the tour. Process was unusual for booking a tour asking too much private information. And when I paid with my card I was charged for another tour I never booked! This was a $1.00 charge which was very suspicious. If they fleece $1 from all customers that is a tort! ☹️

Hello Matthew, Thank you for your feedback. We can see the required fields for your booking included name, date of birth, nationality and residential address. All of this information, excepting your address, is required by your tour operator. Your address (billing address) is required for payment authorisation. Regarding the $1.00 amount, this is a pre-authorisation, not a charge and is required only under certain circumstances which are dictated by a payment provider and your bank. More specifically: Payment providers verify credit cards by running either a $0 or $1 authorization and then automatically voiding it. For most processors and card brands, transactions are initially tried with a $0 authorization. If $0 authorizations are not supported, a $1 authorization will be performed automatically. It appears your card did not support $0 authorisation, but you'll see that $1 back in your account once your bank has processed the void of this amount. I could not find a detailed itinerary including accommodation. Apart from that, which is important to me I found it easy to use.

With that said, in some cases the tentative accommodation list can be found in the "What's' Included" section of the tour. I have received a huge number of follow up emails advising me of a change in my reservation but requiring the reading of teams of paper to find out what the change is. Can’t you make it a simple follow up telling what the change is rather than your current burdensome process???

The initial information and sign up process was good However getting additional information has been slow and I have been waiting over 4 days to receive a response from my latest questions!!

TourRadar has a wide spectrum of offerings although clients will be picking from a narrower range when planning. Assistance in Planning was minimal. The call line was not manned with people that knew their tour offerings and the tour operators advice needed to be sought. Seeking advice from the Tour operators was problematic. Ended often with advice to search on line rather " we will help you get to the start of our tours and assist your onward journey when the tour is done. Big need in planning any tour. Finally despite having booked on line and spaces were available there was a long delay in confirmation with "don't book your flight yet". What this is electronic booking? Good points, on line information was good and downloadable brochures excellent.

We do have a close partnership with 1000+ tour operators on our website so this does explain why we often direct travellers with itinerary-specific queries to reach out to the tour operator directly. It does look like your tour operator has been fairly responsive to your queries prior to booking. When asked about how travellers arrive into the starting city, they advised that there are trains and directed you to a specific online platform that assists travellers in finding the most efficient route to the starting point of your tour. Each tour operator that we work with does have slightly different confirmation turn around times. This is often also due to the fact that we are a global company and working with tour operators from different time zones. This tour operator did take 24 hours to confirm your booking as they needed to check with their local operations team to fully secure your spot on tour. TourRadar has not yet made me happy. In my opinion neither their website nor the Globus website are "user friendly". I have filled out the info on all four of us two times and when I finish I don't see any way to forward that info to either Globus or TourRadar-both of whom want it.There is NO way an 80 year old person could take one of your tours as they would never be able to figure out your websites.

Range of tour are great. The discount encouraged me to book. However, the tour information was incorrect on two tours I was interested in which was frustrating.

Inconsistent communication; consultants not reading the content; disregarding my specific requirement that the booking depended on the pre-night; discussions re pre-night only by phone clearly so TR didn't have written record; fast talk to cloud the issue by American consultant. I'm a comfortable retiree and plan many more overseas tours but this will be last with TR.

Unfortunately, the operator of your tour did not allow for your pre-tour accommodation and tour to be confirmed at the simultaneously as the tour needs to be confirmed first, then the pre-tour accommodation request follows after. This should have been more clearly communicated to you and for this we apologise. Sadly we have no control over this tour operator booking condition. We've suggested you try booking the pre-tour accommodation independently as often tour operators are offered only limited allotments to hotel rooms. As such, there is still a strong possibility you can book a night at the tour hotel before your tour begins, independently. We do display a 'starting from' price on our tour pages and in our promotional material, which is reflective of the cheapest departure date for that tour, usually departing in low season. This allows customers with flexible departure dates to see when they're able to get the very best deal on their desired tour. However, the price for your selected tour departure date is displayed clearly in the availability section of the tour page (which you have to click before proceeding to the booking page) and also on the page where you submit your booking. Perhaps you overlooked this. The tour descriptions are well done and the website us ready to navigate but the booking process was a bit confusing. I accidentally booked the wrong date and so will not book online in the future.

I booked a Nile River Cruise (spaces were listed as available) only to learn after what I thought was a down payment that the tour operator had to confirm the space and that took at least a week before it happened. Luckily, they accepted the booking as I had already purchased flights based on the cruise. If Tour operators are not going to give faster confirmed bookings, a caveat should be stated for those operators. It worked out in the end, but I would have done things differently had I know. I have used Tour Radar for several trips and haven't had anything like this before. Otherwise, I am very happy with their offerings.
