After taking a look into your booking, it does not seem as though the booking was made via the referral link. When it comes to referrals, travelers must click on the referral link and make the booking from here. This is because the referral is tied to the URL, which should look something like this: "www.tourradar.com/invite/abcdefg" Having said this, we have reached out to you directly via your booking page. After two false starts- this isn’t a short review!! I booked on the website with the date I wanted. The site was showing vacancies on that date. I entered all my details and paid the required deposit. A message said I would be notified within 48 hrs if my booking was successful. 5 days later I was told there no vacancies on that date. Back to the site. I chose the next suitable date showing vacancies. And again I was informed there were no vacancies on that date. I was getting annoyed that the website continued to advertise dates that were obviously not available. I finally rang, spoke to a very helpful staff member (Clair?) who told me which dates actually had vacancies. So third time lucky- we’ve got our trip. A big query- why is the deposit $400/p.p for a reservation in May when it was $250/p.p.a? I paid each time so I’m quite aware of the difference. The cost p.p hadn’t changed.

However, the tour operator may not be able to confirm your booking due to varying factors, such as availability with suppliers. They keep the tour listed if for any reason a space may become available and they are able to confirm; such as a cancellation, or sudden availability with suppliers. Additionally, when a booking is 'on-request' it can sometimes take up-to 4-5 business days for the operator to confirm availability on all components of the tour. As your new booking is with a different tour operator, deposit amounts may vary, which explains the difference in the amounts paid. I didn’t understand that Tourradar is a listing site for tour operators ... much like Travelocity or Expedia for hotel booking. They did facilitate the interaction with the tour company and kept me informed of where I was in the booking process.

The Tourradar website is well designed and was easy to use for the booking. However, I then received an avalanche of emails from both Tourradar and the tour operator Globus with no apparent co-ordination between the two, creating a lot of unnecessary and confusing admin. I have since received a personal phone call explaining the nature of the glitch and how it would be put right in the future, so clearly Tourradar is keen to monitor and improve its customers' experience.

All Tour Radar reps were responsive and easily reachable. Some questions I had to ask more than once, but that was due to the tour operator missing the questions, so no fault of Tour Radar. The online portal was easy to use to complete my booming. Would recommend.

There was a lot of selection of tours to Egypt at Tourradar in terms of tours to choose from. However, there were some difficult to understand choices of "extras" that I had to figure out before final booking. For example, did I want to pay extra for a "sleeper" train to Aswan from Cairo and back? Well, if I don't what is the alternative? The website said transportation was included. There was no explanation. But after some looking things up, I was able to finish the booking.

To date, my experience with Tourradar has been very limited. Taylor was very helpful and considerate. The only "down-side" to my booking is that Tourradar does not accept Discover Credit Cards. That is so 20th century - please, correct that flaw.

We made a lot of changes in our trip. The associates we worked with were very easy to deal with. They handled our requests and responded promptly. We are very satisfied with the final trip. I rate the overall experience as "good" because the website is somewhat difficult to navigate.
