No dramas with booking experience, I'm still waiting for the booking to be confirmed by the actual tour company though which means I can't book flights/rest of the trip yet. Hopefully they won't take too long to confirm.

There was a problem in that when I booked a tour, I was not given confirmation for a day or so. Then the tour was full, so I had to cancel the flight I had booked. I booked another tour, and TourRadar was good enough to pay my flight cancellation fee. It would be helpful if they could confirm tours more quickly though. I am looking forward to my tour of Norway.

Hi Norman, We thank you for your valued feedback, however, we regret to hear that you were unable to secure a spot on your desired date and had to cancel your flights. When spaces on tours are limited, a booking will go on-request with the operator before we can officially confirm your spaces. At the time of making an on-request booking, each customer will receive a notification on their screen stating ‘Awaiting Confirmation’ meaning the spaces are yet to be confirmed. We do sincerely regret to hear that you had booked flights and then had to cancel when the operator confirmed there was only one space remaining. However, when any booking is awaiting confirmation, we do recommend not to book flights until the place on this tour is fully confirmed. Having looked into your file, we can see that the operator did reach out with an alternative option for you and are glad to see that this new date has since been confirmed! I twas a good experience. It would have become better if there was a clarity in what will we doing on day 1 and day 8?. Are hotels included on day 1 and day 7? I have made the booking and still not clear.

We have had a look at your booking and can see that the tour page indicates that there are 7 nights of accommodation included, and the itinerary on the tour page states that the last day is a free day. This means accommodation is included every night except for the 7th night and you are free to depart at any time. If you are ever in doubt, your operator is available to answer questions directly via your booking page during their local business hours or you can reach out to us any time via live chat or phone for a more instant answer. I dealt with Opher ( spelling ? ) today regarding yesterday's booking for " Discover the Baltics" trip. He was very helpful and took time to explain and respnd to all my concerns. I had a very good experience today.

I found the process of booking with Tourradar to be excellent. That said, I wish there were more filters to be able to more efficiently review the thousands of tour options that are available. I would like to see filters by star ratings. I would also have liked to see somewhere definitions for the different types of tours, e.g. "DISCOVERY" "IN DEPTH CULTURAL" "ADVENTURE." Perhaps these are somewhere on the site but I could not find them, so I had to guess at the difference between the various tour packages.

Currently, there's a filter that allows you to sort by tours that are "most reviewed.” This filter allows travellers to gauge tour popularity and can be accessed on the top right, beside the 'Sort by' label. For future reference, you can also access a brief description or summary of each travel style by clicking into the page, where it’s displayed below the heading. We hope this prevents you from having to guess between travel styles in the future. Looked at a G Adventure (Costa Rica) , thru Tour Radar, I attempted to put it on a 48hr hold (but I didn’t)( my own fault ), with help and calls and chats with Tour Radar I’m now booked , the 24/7 chat option is very helpful.

Hi Walter, We thank you for your valued feedback, however, we regret to hear that your hold was not placed as expected. After looking into your file, it seems that you may have opened a booking enquiry as opposed to a 48-hour hold. When placing a 48-hour hold customers are required to input all booking details except for payment, using the ‘request a hold’ link. Based on our understanding, you were sent an email as a prompt for you to complete a booking that was not finalized the first time around. As a 48-hour hold request was not completed, this was unfortunately not placed in our system. However, we are very glad to see that despite this, you have since been successfully booked onto an amazing touring adventure! Regarding your travel partner, we regret to hear that you were unable to secure a space on the same departure date. The request to change their departure date has been received by our team and the tour operator has been notified. Someone from our support team will be in touch with your travel partner in due course, with some further advice.
