Holiday to Portugal booked in Jan 2020 As per FCO we cannot go to Portugal and if we did I would not be insured I have called and you have closed your phone lines REALLY AT A TIME LIKE THIS YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE UNABLE TO CONTACT YOU !!!!!!! I have emailed NO RESPONSE!!!! I have requested a COVID 19 refund on manage my booking NO RESPONSE I am aware that you are busy but my holiday is in 3 weeks It’s not safe to go and I am travelling with 3 children I have been advised by my insurance company that I am entitled to a full refund and that you should NOT take the accommodation balance and that I am to contact you I can’t as you have closed your lines I would never book with you again

Our flights booking has disappeared, no response from travel republic, phone lines are on auto message. Why cant these people update their customers?

After the official travel restrictions ended I went into the travel republic site (the app has stopped working) and paid my balance in full -almost £4000 in total. Only then did I get access to a notification that advised our holiday had been cancelled. Unable to contact anyone, no telephone numbers working and so far no replies to online messages, Twitter, Facebook etc. Not happy

Phone lines closed. Refund for 16th April was paid on 8th April apparently . It wasn't and they are not replying. Still waiting to see whats happening to our holiday to Maldives on 31st July - will they take the balance , will they contact us??? THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND NOW THEY ARE VERGING ON FRAUD AS THEY ARE LYING ABOUT GIVING REFUNDS TO PEOPLE.

Booked to go to Spain on 13 Aug 2020 paid £395 deposit when booking made, was advised within 12 hours a confirmation booking reference would be sent to me. It is now 6th July with no contact from Travel Republic, nearly 3 weeks gone by & nothing. Phones not answered, e mails not responded to. Never book again with them have used them in the past and everything was fine. Now trying to get deposit back from them. Really awful customer care. Left in limbo are we going away or not by TR?. Never again.

Customer service is non existent. We were due to fly out to Majorca on 19th August but due to covid 19 we received an email from Ryanair to say the flights were cancelled and offered a full refund, which obviously we went ahead with. The refund was issued back to the payment card, ie their credit card, so I've now been trying to contact them to get my money back. Eventually I have had a response after weeks of messages, support requests etc to say my holiday will be going ahead as normal. I guess they expect us all to swim to Majorca, complete idiots I'm afraid. I will never use this company ever again and strongly urge that you avoid at all costs

WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T BOOK WITH THESE CRIMINALS. We are two pairs of friends who separately, on the same day, booked packages to Corfu 9 months or more. We should have departed for 17 days on 15th May but due to Covid it was cancelled. Our friends paid by Credit Card, we paid by PayPal. We both chose to be refunded at the same time. They eventually received an email saying when their refund would be paid, we did not. I tried to contact them - no phone lines! I emailed them several times - No reply - I left a damning review on Facebook - they replied immediately, asking for details which I gave them - then NOTHING!! Our friends were emailed 2 weeks ago to be advised that they would receive their refund, which they did about a week ago. We've heard NOTHING!! Interestingly enough, because they paid by credit card they could have clawed their payment back under the protection scheme, so if Travel Republic didn'y pay it would have been taken from them anyway. Unfortunately the protection scheme that with PayPal only lasts for 6 months and has now expired so we can't now claw our money back from Travel Republic. Strange that TV haven't paid us eh? My holiday now shows as cancelled but I have no way of contacting these thieves. Whatever you do don't book with these clowns. They only want your money and aren't interested in anything else.

Joke! Corona virus, so they shut phone line down??? What???? Dont answer emails, ive given 5 days for a simple response to change dates. Im rebooking elsewhere and cancelling asap!! Dreadful CS!!! 👎👎👎👎

Holiday cancelled due to Coronavirus (not TR fault) they have dealt with this appallingly. Website says all refunds are up to date and that you get an email the week before the refund happens. Our refund should have happened this week, we have had no emails, I have raised a concern on their internal system twice and they just get deleted without a response, their phone lines are closed and just have a recorded message. I have used this company many times but never again! I was quite willing to wait 7 weeks for a refund but to be totally ignored is dreadful, imagine if you were away and needed help!!

Totally useless sent message 12 days ago promise 2 day turn around no reply yet. Wanted to change holiday to single traveller rebooked as so exasperated by no response. Just not goid enough will not use them in future.

WARNING DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY . Ive been trying to get them to respond to my cancelled holiday for 3 MONTHS . ive sent over a dozen e mails and tried phoning numerous times . my holiday was dated 16th MARCH 2020 , and all i have recieved is loads of automated emails and 1 text message . TOTAL DISGRACE , STAY WELL AWAY .

I am wondering if you are going bancrupt. I have had both holidays booked with you cancelled the first being on the 29th of April. The 29th of April to Ibiza Ref Acm/19097657 and euf/1909656. The second holiday Acm/19097657 and EUF /19097656. I am owed well over £2,000. and have not had any refunds or been able to contact the company or had response from my email. Having a family with disabilities and a husband with a life limiting illness this holiday was so important for us to make memories.

They advertise free cancellations (screenshot taken whilst booking as a reminder of dates costs and cancellation) yet when you come to cancel there is a £40 fee, so it ain’t free cancellation and clearly a modelling tactic DO NOT USE TRAVEL REPUBLIC

We have booked to go to Hotel Grand Amabascatoria in Sorrento in July with TR back in January .I booked flights separately with BA business Class as Travel Republic stitch you up with fares and its cheaper to book directly with the airline. BA cancelled flights to Naples due to Covid 19.We had choice of refund or free change of dates with BA,No problem. I tried to contact TR but no phones only email to see if would could amend the dates.NO reply. I contacted the hotel directly and they said they had no problem to change dates but had to contact TR to do it as they the hotel haven't been paid yet and don't get the money till you arrive with voucher which I understand. Another email but no reply for 2 Weeks when I was informed that this was not possible as we had paid for a non refundable booking and would lose our money 100 percent if we don't go. Today receive an email fom TR informing as that if Government advise non essential travel we will still lose our money and have to try to claim off our travel insurance. Complete scam as they have been paid and haven't paid for hotel and bet they don't if we cant make it and TR waltz off with £6000!!!.Next email is asking us to rate them on a survey. !! unfortunately you are unable to rate zero stars. Don't use this stitch up bunch. Book Direct with the hotel. I have just looked and can get a better and cheaper deal!! These kind of third party agencies are all ofthe same ilk. No customer service or response. We should all get together and try to get the government to weed out these sham companies and put them out of business. All they do is cause more misery and stress to honest decent people.

Having booked flights with TR (and seat upgrades with two airlines) pre-Covid, I patiently awaited news from the media, the airlines and the Gov website to establish if my trip would be going ahead or not. Yes, TR took a while to email me; yes, their phone lines were deactivated and yes, they did not reply to my follow up. BA meanwhile published the cancellation of my flight in good time and they allowed me a change of flight with no trouble at all. But I could not access the flight information with EasyJet, so when TR emailed me three days before my trip, inviting me to get in touch, I was delighted. From here on in, they completely redeemed themselves: Mike Robinson at TR was faultless, providing friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guidance on how to fix things, demonstrating a real 'can-do' attitude. He confirmed the changes with my BA booking and guided me through the EasyJet website so I could change the flight there too (incidentally, a completely trouble-free process). I was left feeling so much happier having spoken with someone who knew what they were talking about and who actually got things done whilst I was on the phone. I am now looking forward to a holiday at the end of the year with flights, seat upgrades and accommodation all planned and booked. To anyone stressing about the current situation, I would urge you patience and forbearance: things will get sorted out and you are in safe hands with Travel Republic.

Had flights booked with TR, still awaiting refund and customer service stinks, they're tweeting everyone up to certain dates have been refunded, utter rubbish, I've been waiting since March, they don't answer emails or any correspondence.

I am due to go on holiday with travel Republic to Turkey on 9th August to Turkey. I emailed them in May to ask if could either transfer my flight etc to next year or if I cancelled my flight how much would they charge me to cancel. I might add that I don't want to Travel because I'm concerned about catching Covid and I can't take extra time to isolate when I return. They haven't answered my message. Their phone lines are down. Then today I recieved a message to say that I would only find out if I could go on holiday two weeks before I travel. I believe they are possibly doing this so they can collect my final payment. They will then possibly not return it as many people on the forum have found. I don't want to lose my flight money but then I don't want to leave things until the last minute and lose everything. I'm going to contact the travel ombudsman. This isn't my first holiday with them but it could be the last. People that have booked with companies such as Tui have had the choice of transferring their holidays until next year. No fees no limited credit notes. We all need to stand up to this company....
